These recent collages have been part of a school project. They are inspired by the method in which Sambo Mockbee worked, how he used unique found objects that most people would overlook and turned them into to beautiful works of architecture. He made the reclaimed materials transcend themselves. Check out some work he did with Rural Studios, this guy used windshields and tires in structures, and made it look good.

So anyway, I felt collaging using mainly junk around my design studio and my own personal junk stash appropriate. The fact that I have recently gotten interesting in the category of collages was also a catalyst. This is the piece that is the 'template' for my final three dimensional model which I'll post on here if it doesn't come out like crap.
