OKAY. I have looked at this picture far too long, and I am almost at a part where I do not like any of it anymore, but I worked hard on it (THREE DAYS PEOPLE, THAT'S A RECORD FOR ME), so I'm putting it up here. I was experimenting. A LOT. I tried textures instead of cell shading to see how much I could still convey, I tried flat colors, I tried a lighter style of inking, I even drew SMALL. I also drew MECHANICAL THINGS (the video game box). So, there was a lot here that was newish to me, and a lot of me experimenting and going, hmmm, will this look good? And taking a dive and hoping it will.
In anycase, the core of the picture I still like. Zach is a dork, and gets way into lightgun games when he plays them, dodging and moving around like it'll help him shoot the zombies better. Jurek, though his friend, can't control his grumpiness and makes fun of him for it. Because that's just how Jurek is. But don't worry, Zach takes him with a grain of salt.
I can't tell you how different this looks from the original that was playing in my head, but oh well. It's done, and I hope you at least enjoy it! Even though I might've hemmoraged making this drawing, I enjoyed the ride.
Font is Zud Juice from acidfonts.com, the title is from Jump by Van Halen.
PS: my cat is trying to eat my screen. Make him stoooop.
EDIT: Got rid of the texture on Zach's pants after a suggestion to tone down the textures stuff, and I like it better. SO YAY. Thanks. X3
i love the machine. just a quick critique tho (tho i would normally perish the thought with your work) you might want to incorporate the texture throughout, instead of centering it on Zach, especially since he's in the center; he sticks out too much
other than that. . .

I love lightgun games. They also make you think that you are an expert marksman. If three days is a record, what is the usual time it takes you for a pic? It took me about, 8-10 hours to do my Venture piece. Thats about the longest one has taken me in a while. I'm used to getting pieces out in about an hour. Oh, automatic fave on this one. It reminds me of when I go to the movie theater and play Time Crisis.

I love them too. I have to admit, I have the same problem as Zach, and I get WAY too into them.
I usually get them down in a couple of hours, coloring and all. I never take more than a day, cos usually if I do, I will never finish it. But I've been trying to discipline myself and finish things lately. >_O
