Anthro is not all my forte, but has turned me on to the world of dino-anthro, and revived my intrest in the Dinosaurs that I studied in depth for many years. Her work combines the best of scientific knowledge with the world of anime. She draws a unique form of anthro that I never thought to have existed, combining the attributes of a seductive anime woman, with the attributes of a Velociraptor. In addition her scientific concept of dinosaurs in her drawings are very accurate to the latest information provided by paleontologists. Her obvious knowledge in the feild of paleontology and her one-of-a-kind combinations of anthro have earned her the title of Viceroy of Science in the Conclave of Prophets. As such I pay tribute to her now by depicting her with her own pet raptor. The raptor shown here is of the species Utahraptor ostrommaysorum, found in 1995 in Utah, ironicly around the time Jurassic Park was released. I only hope that this art is to here liking as she is far more skilled in drawing dinosuars than I. Here is to you Ally!

Everything youve said is so kind, im very glad you feel the way you do about me and my anthro-dino art. I also feel good knowing I got to revive your interest in Dinosaurs, of all the people, I was able to make a difference for someone. :love:

Thanks so much for actually taking the time out your life to draw something for me, and especially so well done. The raptor behind her is so well drawn, I mean, you really did an awsome job on it. .__. Are you a paleo artist aswell?

Well, this came out real awsome, and im happy to be able to be the one to recieve something like this. THANKS! :thanks:

Truth be told I have been drawing animals and plants for a long time now, even before college. Mom is a life science teacher and had me working with all forms of life. But Dinosaurs were a passion of mine since I was a toddler and I have since turned any form of zoology, paleo or extant, into a dicipline of study and research. In the case of your Utahraptor, I look at pictures of the fossil bones, and artist renditions (including yours which were among the most accurate I have yet seen) as well as fossil and pics of other dromeosaurids. Then I established what a fleshed out raptor would look like base on the muscle and skeletal anatomy of the pictures. This has to be done (as I am sure you already know) if no actual photo exists of the animal. From there colorations were all artistic licence. You character was a little harder because I have not tried my hand at anthro art in forever. This is the exact method I used to draw the fish in a coloring book I did for the aquarium I work at. BTW...you are a far better paleo-artist than I and I feel your raptor drawings are proof of this. I could not even find museum depictions that came as close to your work for accuracy in the anatomy of a raptor. Your art should be among the ranks (I feel) of Bakker, Horner and Ostrum. You were worth every hour spent on this pic Ally, and I want you to keep up your incredible work no matter what. Consider this a graduation present. And a tribute from one of your biggest fans. :w00t:

Yeah, so I have I. After 8th grade I started getting into anime, and just last year I began drawing anthro. Im surprised to know mine are really that accurate, ive seen some other artists who can be very accurate aswell. I think your raptor actually looks very good, and I think you should try drawing another, I think youll be surprised at how well it would turn out! But, I dont think im good enough to be compared to Bakker (although he did unfluence me a while ago). ^^;

Anyway, thanks for your kind words, they mean alot to me!

On the contrary...I compared your "Blue Jay?" pic with a pic done by Bakker in the book "Dinosaur Heresies" and let mey say that your artwork is very equal in status. Infact your black and white "Oviraptor" and "Utahrapter" are nearly the same as the illustrations in the book. Please...give yourself your due credit. Oh and I will try to recreate the raptor-anthro character I told you of soon. Would like your opinion on it when it is done.

Aw nah. I have my own style as compared to his, he tends to make his raptors more bulkier than mine. I mean, Im not saying I suck or anything, but I tend to compare myself alot to other artists, so yeah, its not healthy, but hey, it gives me motivation ^^; But I wouldnt mind giving my opinion on your picture.
