Actually they're not really that expensive at all! I got mine, which is in excellent condition, straight off ebay for a little over AU$1.000 - not much at all compared to most Digital SLR's : )

Great shot. I love Hassies. :P I've been checking out d-SLRs for myself on ebay and you get one for around $500 American ($647 AU) up to $650 American ($840 AU). Congrats for getting a Hassie so cheap! Did that include a lens and the polaroid back? I know someone from school who got a Hassie plus lenses, polaroid back, an extra film back, and a nice case for about $400 American off Craig's List. Guy didn't know what he had!
Anyway...great shot, love the warmth and selective focus. :D

Geez...lucky guy! With several lenses that kit could easily have been worth nearly ten times that price! I got both my camera (w/ standard lens and back) and the polaroid back seperately on ebay, paid AU$1000 for the camera and AU$100 for the polaroid back. Not bad at all, considering the cheapest pola.backs I've come across in secondhand shops here in Perth are going for around AU$400.

Oh, and thanks for the comment, I'm glad you like it : )

Actually, it was one of my female classmates...and to be honest, I don't even think she truely appreciated what she had. She realized she'd gotten a good deal, but she didn't really know how good, I don't think.
That's so great you got such a deal as well. I would love to own a hassie, but my first purchase as a pro is going to be a d-slr...as soon as the job starts and the paycheck comes. :P
You better be taking some amazing shots with that hassie! I'll be watching you...hahaha
