This is the most recent picture of me - Rachael, with much less hair on my head. The hair content of my arms remains, alas, unchanged. Yes, I have ursines in the family, and I've been told I'm definitely one of the worst ones in the morning. GRRRRRRRrrrrrrr...

Dad bullied me into this photo when we visited the Chicago Field Museum. It looks like he caught me preparing to say something extremely impolite. :D

The exhibit you see behind me was great - we got shrunken down to less than a quarter of an inch tall, and we investigated the insect, plant and fungus life that lies just beneath the soil of the average midwestern back yard. Mom, Dad, brother TJ and I all thought the grub worm was just great, so Dad used that as an excuse to record us for all posterity.

And for the record:

Yes, I wear bifocals.
Yes, I am a Cthulhu fan-girl.
No, I did not ask the curator to take the giant grub home with me.

Egads, why does it have to be a grub?!? That's okay though, since it doesn't look as gross as those fat white beetle grubs *shudder* Speaking of hair, I still have to shorn my ebon locks of their excess length; they're the longest they've ever been since junior high :D

LOL - Thanks. Short hair is most comfortable.

I don't look THAT much like a grass root, do I? Grubs go for grass roots, damn their eyes.
