Tarantino is a movie geek and I'm a movie geek so there's already a shared interest. I was blown away by Reservoir Dogs - not quite as literally as some of its characters tahnk goodness - but the dialogue... wow... it was revolutionary. That scene at the diner "What do you mean you don't tip?". Classic stuff, often mimiced, never bettered. Pulp Fiction is also phenomenal, and Kill Bill is a modern classic.
hey, very nice job with the shadows and the shapes. i guess to add to the realism you can make his features look less smooth, but i'm no expert on that so good luck
but beee-yuuu-ti-ful picture. Nice work as always.

Wonderful job! The only thing I have to say, and it isnt even necessarily a bad thing, is that the hands look like they were done in charcoal. The face is phenomenal, and I love the contrast in this peice.

Not quite as good as Peter Jackson, I think. I love it. The only thing I'll critque is that the skin on the knuckles looks fake. Otherwise this just blows me away.
Thanks for your honesty. I respect that a lot. And you're quite right. I think the hands are my least favourite part of the image. I was kind of hoping the detail and high contrast of the face might distract people from the hands, but since they're so dominant in the image it clearly didn't work. I may actually go back and retouch them at a later date.

`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More

Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable. Let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.
