Part 4 of my Director Series

Tarantino is a movie geek and I'm a movie geek so there's already a shared interest. I was blown away by Reservoir Dogs - not quite as literally as some of its characters tahnk goodness - but the dialogue... wow... it was revolutionary. That scene at the diner "What do you mean you don't tip?". Classic stuff, often mimiced, never bettered. Pulp Fiction is also phenomenal, and Kill Bill is a modern classic.

There's no denying QT has got the skills. :w00t:

The WIP stages can be viewed here.

hey, very nice job with the shadows and the shapes. i guess to add to the realism you can make his features look less smooth, but i'm no expert on that so good luck :orange:

Man, Quentin Tarantino may have the skills, but so do you. This is awesome. The detail blows me away.

Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable. Let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.

The kiss of Fame and art for art's sake were his goal
When Chromer, painter, with the world first went to cope;
But now he barely pays for bread and board and coal
By making lurid posters for Van Apple's soap.

Wonderful job! The only thing I have to say, and it isnt even necessarily a bad thing, is that the hands look like they were done in charcoal. The face is phenomenal, and I love the contrast in this peice.

Not quite as good as Peter Jackson, I think. I love it. The only thing I'll critque is that the skin on the knuckles looks fake. Otherwise this just blows me away.

Thanks for your honesty. I respect that a lot. And you're quite right. I think the hands are my least favourite part of the image. I was kind of hoping the detail and high contrast of the face might distract people from the hands, but since they're so dominant in the image it clearly didn't work. I may actually go back and retouch them at a later date.

Thanks again. :thumbsup::)
