This drawing is a tribute to Bruce Timm and all his great HQ & MR.J stories. When I first started doing BTAS realted artwork, I thought it would be easy to draw because the artwork looked so clean and simple. Boy was I wrong. Drawing in Bruce Timm style is a very complicated task, it's hard to get the lines look good and get the faces and bodies right. But I'm finally starting to get it right. I personally think this one is mutch better than any of my earlier artwork. It took a long time and a lot of attempts to get the facial expressions and inking right. The characters were colored in Paint and the background was done in GIMP.
This drawing is basically based on a image that popped up in my mind. But by looking at it it seems that there's a long and tragic story behind it. What's the Joker laughing at? And why is Harley angry and crying? And why do they look so messed up? Well, that's for your imagination to tell. Tell me what YOU think happened. I'm very intrested in hearing every fan's take on this.
