Artist's Comments

Finally just took a digital pic of this.

After much stabbing and slicing of fingers, many disheartening printing attempts on the wrong kinds of paper... I got some good prints with acrylic printer's ink.

There were several different types but mainly ink on rice paper (thanks to 's suggestion) and two on transparent vellum. They are backed on gold board which I rescued from a refuse bin at work.

Linoleum block, printed on rice paper, and hand-colored with burnt sienna Copic.

I agree. The version on the card was really nice, though the coloring on the fox just really adds a nice, whole quality to it.

Thank you! Did I hand color yours? I hope I did. Things got really nuts at the end.

I'm glad you like it! Thanks for the suggestion about using rice paper!

I don't think you did. The one I got looked like just the main ink, though it still looked really nice.

I must have done yours on cardstock! I thought the white ones looked best without a second color.

I agree. This one looked rather nice. I think, given the color and texture of the ink, hand coloring may have been a little too much.
