Okay, I wasn't going to post this, but I've been told I must. See, this is my last entry for the Omniart contest at RPGamer but it wasn't originally. I spent a long time on another painting that was nuked in a harddrive crash at about ninety percent completion. The only remaining scrap is a crop [link] that I mailed to someone early on. This left me two days to come up with a replacement entry before the deadline. That's what we have here. I know I should go back into it, make it suck less, but that's just not going to happen. What is, is. The voting is up for the last round right here [link] - GO VOTE!
I feel like I've told this pathetic story fifty times but it's important. I really thought this entire Omniart contest was cool and I put a lot of effort into it. I didn't want and I still don't want anyone to think I blew off the last round. It's not my fault my drive died (just my stupid fault for not backing anything up).
Phantom of the Opera and Vagrant Story go well together, I found. I believe Sydney does originally pursue Ashley with the intent of harnessing whatever the hell it is about him that makes him a worthy successor to the Dark, and then becomes (arguably) infatuated - this is sort of how the Phantom pursues Christine for her voice but then falls in love (or does it go the other way around?) Anyway, some clever editing of Music of the Night and Syd could be crooning it to Sir Riot... or at least he could be in my head.
Anyway, only spent two nights on this, under pressure, disgusted, hating life. Be gentle (and go vote!).

Darn you! To think that you can be so incredibly good that you can whip this out in only two days and think it crappy compared to your standard work. I don't know what's more infuriating: you saying that this is bad, or that it probably actually pales compared to your other pieces. Darn it all! Jealous!

Ah, sorry, I should have explained. The challenge was to combine a musical with an RPG video game. It's a scene from the game Vagrant Story, with the characters dressed like Opera Ghost and Raoul. Sorry ^_^;;
