Another Omniart picture. You had to choose an art style and then execute fanart in it. Art Nouveau was one of the choices so I went with that in order to do a dark, brooding, rather masculine piece that has nothing in common with Art Nouveau but weird hair, flowers, and a prancing androgyne.
Sigh. I won't be surprised if I don't advance. I did try though.
So Vincent. Torn between designs from the upcoming Dirge of Cerberus, and Classic Vincent. Ended up half and half, using his swanky new thigh holster, claw, and new gun, but opting for interpretations of his old limit breaks and not that skirt-wearing Griever reject "Galian Beast" from the new game. There's stupid symbolism here in everything from the relative positions of things to Chaos' skulls to where Vin's looking, but explaining it all would ruin the puzzle, hmm? The title's from a Rilo Kiley song. It is mostly self-deprecating. Do you know why?
I may post detail shots later. I kind of like how Galian Beast's shaggy muppet head came out but he's so dark the detail's lost all shrunk up. And Chaos looks chocolate-coated. I bet he's nougat in the middle since nougat is of the devil.
daaaaammmnnnn, i love vincent, and this is just damn sexy work man. YOU BETTER ADVANCE!

Agghh, man...this is so incredible...every new piece of yours is just so amazing x__x The texture in this really brings it out, and my eyes just drink up the details so eagerly. It's really beautiful as a character portrait, the elements of it are just incredible individually as well.
Holy Toledo! That is just...awesome. Symbolism just ooooozing out of it. You have to advance with this...The art style you chose just fits Vincent and the mood of the picture, perfectly. Such beautiful reflections on the roses. Vincent also seems to have that stiffness that seems to appear a lot in earlier forms of art. I love Galian Beasts's head, though....(And really the rest of him)...He's a good compositional element...And just all of the lovely symbolism. ::falls over:: The skulls...I am always amazed at how well the anatomy looks in all of your pictures. Its one thing that I really admire about your work. In the piece that was in the last round of Omniart ("Tending to Master"), it really showed again. It sounds weird to say this, but you do wonderful skulls....I guess that's Lucrecia in the back? That image...is from a tarrot card, isn't it? I'm not very familiar with Tarot cards...(Maybe it isn't ^_^; Colors are wonderfully choosen... I think you can't miss the next round with this one. ::shrugs:: Especially after seeing some of the other competition in the previous round. Good luck!

i love so much about this piece, and the complicated composition and the great details--the galian beast's slobber --are especially impressive. Vincent's got a great aloof expression too. the way the lady has the knife poised over the heart amuses me, i dunno why, the pose or her expression seems incongruous somehow. it's great . awesome job!!

THIS IS EXCELLENT!! They both look amazing, and that border just fits SO well!! You did really really well on all the coloring! It looks just really brilliant! Definitely a fav!
Ehm ... wow. I've been a fan of your Vincent fanart for years now, and I personally think this is your best work featuring him. I adore all the symbolism, the attention to detail, the overall style ... and Lucrecia. It captures the Vincent in my head. I'm kind of beyond words to describe how much I love this.
