Rise and fall of the Xernoxvi

The Xernoxvi pronounced 'Zer-no-vi' for the second 'x' is silent, are a species of large space faring creatures with a mixture of reptilian/anthro. The females can grow up to at least 3 meters in full size, maybe more, the males are much bigger but strangely rare as they are seemingly more important. They come in shades of colours, but only one pigment such as, white, charcoal black, forest green and so on. They are furred reptilian/bug creatures with 9 limbs in total, 2 arms, legs and tails, head and a set of butterfly wings for both genders, however the colour is depending on the parents and is darker in shade for males. Their eyes are either in shades of grey, lavender, cyan, purple, green, red, gold or blue, or even a noticable mix, which is very common among the younglings.

Their faces are similar to humans, having a muzzle instead of a nose, equalling two slits as nosal passages due to their reptilian heritage, elven styled ears which are flexible in a way to emit a physical show of mood, their teeth are sharp when eating and in an aggressive mood, otherwise they won't show their teeth. Their tongues are perhaps forked and have a length long enough so they can lick their own chins.

They were created by the second king of the light wise ones, however they believed themselves gods many millennia ago, only when the Halcyon's showed them there error in mind did they believe this. His name was Jakodan; he had the power of light and holy magic, defender of the faith and destroyer of darkness. He made the Xernoxvi as guardians of the outer systems so nothing foreign from other galaxies could enter.

However, Zath, his only son, betrayed him, taking the Xernoxvi and twisting there minds to corrupt them. He became the Corrupter soon after, even though he had three children, he never had much contact with them. Kane, his first real son, was to be the next king of the light ones, however, he did not follow the light, his twin, named Kang even though a light entity he was a male for a time, as this was chosen for him. The Xernoxvi, after corruption, became very hostile, there were over 1000 of them millennia ago, there even ruled the universe, destroying race after race, harvesting there genetics and kept the data, they turned the Tharian Elves into Hykath, making them there personal army.

The Hykath were there final and best work, they disappeared after a massive war broke out with the two sides of the council of the gods, light and dark fought over control of the universe, however, in came the High Templar's, an unknown breed of Halcyon's back then, who were much more powerful and less restrictions and were not as combat frail as they are now. The war was slow but brutal, the Xernoxvi's numbers shockingly reduced from there many 1000 to only 50, however, they breed very often, the mother Xernoxvi, the biggest of the females, was the breeder but she was also the most powerful of the females for an obvious reason.

They hid for many centuries, biding there time, increasing there population once again, controlling there race of fiends, the ones previously known as Tharian's. They were transformed over 25,000 years ago or so by the mother Xernoxvi, they are immortal through age. They have 4 life cycles, no one knows the forth.

*Note the stages below only counts if they are born as their true form, if born in humanoid form, it is described further down.

The first stage in their life starts as soon as they are born, from a massive egg, they have very thin fur and there bodies are thin and must be insulated soon afterwards to keep the heat in. They grow slowly, becoming bigger within the next 5 years; they reach full size in 100 years or more, depending on the female's stature and if they are either combat bred or just a breeder.

The second stage is when they reach 100 years; their body has reached full size though there powers need to develop more for they are not as strong as a Xernoxvi can be. They have crystallized skeletons, making their bones be perfect conductors for mana as it runs through there entire body. They soon gain powers beyond understanding of mortals; they have access to Dextralyte shaping from 100 years of age, making them very dangerous and a very powerful weapon if used right.

The third stage in life is when they reach 500 years, they have two choices to make, become a mother or father Xernoxvi or remain as a breeder. There powers are fully functional, they can build anything from the Dextralyte, and a planet sized station is just one example. There aurum is powerful enough to create small black holes, with time of course. They travel by opening portals, very effective for attacks on other races when they least expect it. When they open portals, they let there 'troops' head in first, then themselves, the portal is big enough to fit a line of them in, they close them as soon as they are through it and tap the portal's entrance so to speak.

The forth stage is when they reach 1000 years, they reach godhood so to speak, having powers unimaginable by others. Their aurum, powers, their scent, their mind, god-like, however, they are not invincible, nothing is, for instance, they are very curious and adventurous, not to mention perhaps a little unknowing of most civil rules since they never had a homeworld to speak of, they were after all, created for a purpose that was set in motion since their creation. They have their weaknesses their eyes are just one, and so are their tails which are at least 1.8 or so meters long. They have four hearts which only two are needed to live, the more hearts one has, the faster there blood flow is, the faster their blood flow, the faster their aurum is flows throughout there body, meaning faster casting.

If, by some chance, the mother is either giving birth to her egglings in her humanoid form, then it is as simple as it sounds, the humanoid Xernoxvi will look as they should, thin fur, almost unnoticeable till a few days or older aging, small wings which they cannot use till they are older, at least 5 years or so and their eyes are always a mix of three colours till they are old enough to change this to a more suiting colour.

In 3440, November 30th, they left their far outer rim system of 'Chardainia' with there massive Hykath/Xernoxvi fleet and invaded the main universe. It took over 5 years to beat the invaders, most Xernoxvi were killed, very few got away from death, and Sariphya is an exception. She was one of the first of the current generation of Xernoxvi to have quickly understood and gained the ability to become humanoid and remain this way for as long as she wants. She is also the purest and most beautiful of them all, her beauty is so powerful, she can sway men and women alike to fall for her in an instant, no one is resistant to this, no one.

Now it's 3470 and the Xernoxvi are now thought to be a dead or dying species, never to be seen again after there last visit, however, Sariphya has two children named Ryth and Saria, even though they are a mix of Red Templar and Xernoxvi, they still have all the powers and spells of one. Their legacy may live on, and it may once again, rise to there numbers; only time will tell. Added to this fact, the numbers are rising for the Xernoxvi, the mother has found another mate at last, or she is allowing some rules to be broken for the survival of their race.
