Description

*faints on spot from lack of sleep*
Finally it's done! This is an origami swan I started to work on before I began with my origami dress, but the process stagnated and I didn't do a thing with it for a couple of months. But a few days ago I decided to finish it, so here it is! I spent the past 3 hours editing photos, but I used very little of them in the end. But taking the photographs was fun.

Now, something about the swan.
This is Yusora's little sister. Her official name is 'The Swan's Last Dance', but I nicknamed her Lilly.
While Yusora is air-themed, Lilly evolves around the element of water.
Water is flexible and, for me, it represents movement and change, that's why I wanted to make a dynamic model. This idea popped up in my head and as usual I started building her without sketching anything out. So when I started with the wings a few days ago I noticed it would be hard to keep her in balance. My first idea was to let her lean on one wing, but in the end that wasn't necessary, because somehow she just... stands.
This is the first time for me to try out this type of neck. I don't know if it has been done before, but it sure caused me some problems...

Materials: Paper, and nothing but paper
Technique: 3D origami (also called block origami or Golden Venture origami)
Colors: Light blue, blue, mint green, white

Sorry for the long description, and thanks a lot for all the faves!

EDIT: Wow, I'm on the top of the front-page of the Artisan Gallery! That's my start page :)
Thanks to all of you for your support, I knew it was one of my better artworks, but I didn't expect it to get THIS popular!

EDIT 2: A DD? Wow, thanks a lot!
