A

                                                                        Tree For

                                                                      Thee, A Tree

                                                                     For me, A Tree

                                                                  For those Who Have

Nothing to go home to and

Nothing to look forward to do

Not one thing to love, nor to hold

I give thee the end and the beginning of

The tradition which I have always held to

Be something worth remembering and holding

Close to the heart of my innermost feelings and dreams

                                                                            I give

                                                                            thee it

once again it took away the indention, but I will add it back when I have the time to find out how it works, non-breaking spaces aren't even working now....

Don't use indents, space it manually. About 8 to 10 spaces is equal to one indent. Anyway, spaces are much more manageable for use as you then can control how far over the words are to a more precise degree. These beginning spaces only work in deviations though (sadly).

As for the poem, a sad and hopeful view of those suffering on the streets or perhaps just in life in general. Very empathetic and touching in its simplicity.

Oh yes, what year are you at UofL?
