Yup... I forget if the robes are from Rinzai or Soto Zen, though- the only monks we have where I live are Thai.

I like it. It's simple yet not simplistic. The composition is right. I particularly enjoy the subtle shadows of the kimono.
But, imo, it lacks accent(s). That's not necessarily bad, but somehow I think an Id should have some soft shininess or some subtle glitter that should catch the passing eye.
It's too decent, somehow. Maybe you could add a very small and soft orange to it, or a warm soft yellow. It doesn't have to pop-up. Just to emphasize what is already there.
