All the negativity and complaining going 'round about dA.
I say its time to start spreading some positive energy because, really, complaining gets us nowhere We can become a positive asset to this community with a little bit of TLC.
GENERATE POSITIVE ENERGY
1. Spread kind comments.
It is inspiring when you are given a pat on the back. Brighten someone's day, it'll only take a second.
2. Then.....Say 'thank you'.
It is disheartening when your comments go unnoticed. And yes, sometimes there are just too many comments to answer one by one, but give a shout of thanks in your journal, or dedicate a piece to your watchers for all their support.
3. Don't give up when you get 'shunned'.
Unfortunately there have been some unfair situations that we've all come across, but we can stand together in a positive way and say goodbye to negative ramblings.
Take necessary precautions when submitting
-We all know the rules, and some of us forget them from time to time.
-If you are unsure whether or not a submission should be deemed as containing mature content, mark it that way anyway, just to be on the safe side.
-Provide a clear link-back to dA from your website. Basically, dA gives us the opportunity to promote our business from our membership to this site, and so we should credit them accordingly; similar as to crediting stock-artists for letting us use their wonderful stock to create art. It shows respect.
-Use the Help Link when you need 'HELP', or ask one of your dA compadres when you are unsure about something. And always lend a helping hand when you see others in need!
New Members always appreciate the welcoming and support.
Support ALLgenres of art, not just the one you yourself are best at.
I see some people who are strongly biased as to what mediums are more 'artistic'. All art requires skill, technique, patience, and time. Photography gets labelled against strongly since it is more vastly available these days, but there ARE skilled photographers just as there are skilled painters, pencil artists, etc, musicians, etc. There is no medium better than another, so lets be proud that we are a part of such a diverse community.
4. Give suggestions rather than complaining.
There are plenty of administrators available to help you solve a problem, and the opportunity of joining/administrating community clubs/groups is always available.
BE A KARMA POLICEMAN! Join the SQUAD! Just add this stamp to your journal.
If you are a subscriber, just place it in your journal as : thumb24765070 :, without the spaces, of course. These little stamps really show your support in making positive contributions to the community of deviantART.
And if you have anything you'd like to add for Patroling the Karma of dA, just note me either to this account, or to my main account . I'm sure I will be updating this entry.
