Lets see some action.

Drawing Discription:

The artist HAS to draw an action or fight scene from a Drow book, such as any of the R.A.Salvatore's series, Daughter of the Drow or War of the Spiderqueen books. Or they can draw a battle illustrating a fight from a fan fic, but must post a link to the fan fic so we can read it. That way we can see if they captured the scene correctly. Also, you can illustrate from DA prose as long as you have consent from the author and that there are important Drow characters, this does include the writing entries in this contest.

The scene has to have 2 or more characters in an action pose, Fighting, climbing, running, jumping, killing somthing... No dramatic standing. That's fine for portraits, but this is action! I would open it up to multiple races, Like a drow fighting a human, or orc, or somthing else.

I want to force the newer artists to break the barrier of typical posing. I would love to challenge the experienced artists, and also have somthing that we can really run with. Literally.

Drawing requirements:
-must be action, no poses
-2 or more characters (option of multiple races as long as there is one Drow or Half-Drow)
-Must link or refrence the work of fiction the drawing is based from



Writing Discription:

The writing contest will be a 500 word minimum scene of a battle. There MUST be AT LEAST two Drow, one surface Elf and one Human. All must be orgininal characters, no fanfics please. There must be some use of "a game", "a tiger" and "a great power" incorporated into the writing. The way the author decides to use these ideas is up to them.

Your stories may be used by an artist for the Drawing option, as long as they have your permission. Feel free to allow friends to edit your work, just be sure you do not edit your entry after it is entered in the contest. As soon as it is on the main page and this deviation, you are not allowed to edit it in any way.

Writing Requirements:

-4 characters minimum; 2 Drow, 1 surface Elf and 1 Human. ALL ORGININAL CHARACTERS.
-"a game", "a tiger" and "a great power" must be present in the scene in some way, shape or form.
-Entry must be a completed piece, no editing after it is entered.
