Gambit has always been my favorite X-Men character (well, Gambit and Rogue). A while back someone had put the idea of Josh Holloway (Sawyer on Lost) playing Gambit in my head. After recently watching that TV series for the first time, I decided that it was a perfect fit and painted this quick portrait of Gambit, using Josh Holloway as the model. This was all painted in Photoshop with my tablet. September of 2005.

He's the hottest character of all... he seriously is... *swoons* You really did get the thief side of him!!


...but on a side note, I think his chin is a wee bit too long... but that's just my two cents ^^

Before reading your description, I thought, "Hmm... that looks A LOT like Sawyer from Lost!" :D I just got the First Season on DVD -- love that show.

It'd be awesome if he actually did play Gambit, though I doubt it would ever happen since filming a TV series takes up so much time.
