Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactFrom the soft, smooth skin, to the delicate, water-like fabric, this piece is all around beautiful. While it's clear that the piece is very well drawn, the coloring is what really makes this picture stand out. The color has just enugh subtlety and depth that it brings the girl and her dream to life in a way that is rarely seen in drawings. Using blue as the main color really bings out the serenity and emotion of the piece.
As far as drawing goes, the dress seen here is as clever as it is stunning. The more you look at it, the more it feels as though you are right there, being absorbed into the ocean. This picture is just as realistic as it is fantasy - an amazing visual treat!
There is a lot to praise about this piece, so it is hard finding a way in which it could be improved beyond what it already is. If I had to suggest something, it would be using a lighter color outline on the skin and butterflies to create an even more realistic feel, and maybe to add shadows underneath the girl.
Overall, a beautiful, 5-star piece - one in which the viewer can truly be a part of the lovely dream that the girl is experiencing.
