Location: Werribee, Victoria, Australia

Description: Back in the days when I used to study at the Veterinary Clinical Center in Werribee, one of my favorite haunts was a "wasteland", a field covered in wildly-growing weeds in spring. This piece of land was huge, and it even had its own pond. It was used in part as a dumping ground by the campus to place biodegradable waste such as hay from the horse wards. The area next to this was fenced off for the purposes of containing cows and horses that we frequently brought in for practicals and demonstrations. And not far from here lay another compound, the Dog Runs, which housed many greyhounds, also used for demonstrations or experiments.

The wasteland was a peaceful place, and I came here often during exam periods to chill out or reflect. Occasionally I'd approach the fenced areas and get acquainted with the animals there. Most of them were curious things that really loved the camera. Here's a photograph of a cow named "C2"...a spontaeneous snapshot.
