if you're using dAx (beta) and got a notification about an update, you can update by clicking the install link below, this will get you the newest version

To all those who only watch me for the script: feel free to un-watch me and +watch ~dAmnExtend for all dAmn.extend-related news.

(the actual deviation is in this description)

dAx (dAmn.extend) v0.20313

Attention: This user script only works with Mozilla FireFox and Flock, not for Internet Explorer (if you don't know what I'm talking about, you're probably using IE and can't use this script)
With some time, I will re-write dAx and also release an IE-friendly version.

Installation You need the GreaseMonkey extension. Install this extension first, then you have to reload FireFox.
After that, click here and select "Install". After that, reload your chat page to let the dAx kick in.

BTW: I DO NOT want any pro-FireFox-anti-IE discussion here, I still love IE.

Features:

    0.20313:
  • Fixed a problem with links to other chatrooms

  • 0.20312:
  • changed the URL-to-thumb parser so that it recognizes the new deviation URLs

  • 0.1g to 0.20311:
    various stuff I didn't document

    0.1f:
  • messages are parsed for #room names, which are made clickable links to join that room (unless already inside a link, or in a <code> statement)
    • works in messages, and soon titles and topics, too

  • timestamps (originally created by `doofsmack) are now a part of dAmn.extend. Actually planned to implement them later, but since Timestampify broke for many people in FF1.5 (including me :wtf:) I already put them in now. Previous installations of Timestampify should not interfere with dAmn.extend, however, I advise to disable/uninstall Timestampify if you already had it.
    • now with an option to enable/disable timestamps and to switch between 12/24h format

    0.1e:
various stuff I forgot to post here :paranoid:

    0.1d:
  • /emotes now opens a list of the unofficial emoticons supported by my script, also much more supported emotes now
  • Easier formatting: you can now use the buttons B, I, U next to the multiline toggle to wrap the corresponding tags around the selection in the input. Hotkeys: Alt+B, Alt+I, Alt+U - these may override menu shortcuts depending on your language version of FireFox
  • /about command, for informations about the current version of dAmn.extend
  • auto-complete for chatrooms you are currently in, like the built-in for user names and commands, just enter # (and optionally the first letters of the room name) and hit Tab once or more :)
  • a /part without parameters now parts the current room

  • 0.1c:
  • /setaway with no parameters now gives no auto-reply anymore, also there is a 10 seconds timeout between two auto-replies. And, though it now filters out the #IdleRPG penalty messages, I still advise you to NOT use the away mode when in #IdleRPG =P
  • the whole script is now auto-updating like Easyreply (actually, most of it now resides on my webspace) so if you installed it after you read this, you don't have to reinstall it anymore ;) I plan to include a command /aboutextend soon, so you can type just that to see what version you have :)

    0.1b: fixed the away bug

    0.1a:
  • implements :faq##: (known from the rest of DA) and creates the command /faqsearch keywords - search the DA FAQ for the given keywords - I coded this especially for the guys at #help :salute:
  • creates /gettitle and /gettopic (no parameters) - nifty for Founders/Ops who need to update Titles and Topics often. These commands put the title/topic codes into the input line, with a /title or /topic respectively in front of it.
  • creates /setaway and /setback - Away Mode, known from various instant messengers & IRC, has an auto-reply function. I know there are /away and /back commands already in dAmn, but they don't work yet - Do NOT use this in #IdleRPG - it is now spam-safe, but still...
(fixed the away auto-reply to not spam anymore when there are two people away and address each other)
  • activates /chat username - private chat with deviant username, who has to type /chat yourname, too, to see your private messages (try it yourself with a partner to understand what I mean)
  • the title of the window will now update when you change the room

  • please bear in mind that this script is still under development. If you notice bugs or have suggestions, feel free to contact me at `siebenzehn

thanks to @sapphiretiger for creating the preview image layout :P
also thanks to `doofsmack, *eViLKoRnY, `igy and the others I probably forgot right now for testing and giving hints

big thanks to `bzed for providing me with a faster webspace for the script :P

If you read through all this stuff and still feel interested and generous because you're filthy rich and want to support dAmn.extend (a.k.a. "lost a bet") feel free to get me a month of or use this [link] to donate via PayPal
Daily Deviation, 2005-03-31

Daily Deviation Every so often, a deviant goes out of their way to make one of our wonderful features even better.dAmn.extend - a dAmn extension by *siebenzehn is a great example. For our users who are addicted to dAmn, this is a must-have: From implementing :faq##: notation, away messages and simplyfying personal chatting, this user script for Mozilla Firefox (and Greasemonkey) users is a powerful addition to an already great way for deviants to interact with the rest of the community. Download, install and enjoy! (Suggested by @sapphiretiger and Featured by `mirrorkills)
