Crumbling Edges

I drew this one on the night of Michael Jackson's passing. I was watching some of his earlier videos on YouTube, and saw the video for "We Are the World" for the first time ever (unbelievable, I know). It touched me deeply, with all those legendary singers and the beautiful message. And then I went and follow it up with--of all things--Breaking Benjamin's songs (no videos) "Breath" and "Diary of Jane," and they got to me, too. I was so worked up and high-strung by that time that I took out my sketchbook in the middle of the night and drew for 4 hours straight while crying. I would have had this one up sooner if it weren't for the lack of background. I finally got around to adding it today.

No matter how much I like to imagine otherwise, I think that Hisana would have had her moments of utter despair and guilt, too, when she crumbled around the edges and fell to pieces. I only hope Byakuya-sama was there to hold her together during those times.
