Yet another train photo, so most of you might want to keep moving along.
If you know the Western Pacific, you probably know where this is. For those of you who don't, this is the Keddie Wye, in Keddie, CA. This shot was taken from Highway 70, just above the wye. The branch off to the left is now owned by BNSF, and the right by UP. I shall be posting some more pics from the Feather River Canyon soon.
I would say that was too bad if were possible, the Feather River Canyon is inland California between Reno, NV and Oroville, Ca. No regularly scheduled passenger trains have been through there since the California Zephyr was discontinued.
Oops, my mistake. Still, it would be cool to go see. It's next on my rail site hit list. I've already been to Cajon Pass and Tehachapi Loop. I want to see Feather River Canyon, Donner Pass, Beaumont Hill, Soledad Pass, and Santa Susana Pass, among others i can't think of right now.
