Представляю новый вариант «Мрачной тайны», фанарта на "Песню льда и огня" Джорджа Мартина. Ежели кто не знает, то изображенные на рисунке 15-летние Джейме и Серсея Ланнистеры не только близнецы, но и любовники. Естественно, они держат это в секрете.
А теперь об истории вопроса. Итак, почти год назад, 1 декабря 2007 года, был нарисован вот этот эскиз: [link]
Потом я раскрасила Серсею: [link]
начала красить Джейме, и работа застопорилась – Джейме получался страшным уродом. Помучавшись с ним некоторое время, я пришла к неутешительному выводу, что корень зла кроется в самом эскизе – слишком уж там ошибок много. В результате я отложила рисунок в долгий ящик и, наверное, забыла бы о нем, если бы периодически не получала фаворы и коменты с просьбой его все-таки докрасить. Сев за рисунок в эти выходные, я поняла, что перерисовывать нужно не только Джейме, но и Серсею. Покраска Серсеи мне тоже разонравилась, так что рисунок я фактически нарисовала заново. Новый стиль покраски можно было бы благородно назвать «soft cel-shading», но не будем кривить душой и признаемся, что это стиль называется «под фломастеры».

There are young Jaime and Cersei Lannister from Martin’s ‘Song of Ice and Fire’. They are twins and they are lovers. They have to keep it dark obviously. I tried to show it.
I had a lot of problems with Jaime’s coloring until I understood I have to redraw lineart. It was a hard decision but it’s worked just fine! I like new version a lot more. I made them younger and tried to color them in anime style (in contrast to old ‘realistic’ version). Hope you like it too!
I can kinda understand why Cersei turned out the way she did.
Just imagine: You're Cersei, you're a young child and your father is cold and distant. You have your mother, which is good, and you also have your twin brother. And so you have these two people that are very important, in some ways your twin brother is perhaps even more important than your mom. Because your mom comes and goes but your twin brother's always there, since conception. You're right next to your twin brother. And you develop a language amongst yourselves and you're extremely close. And then among your various activities you engage in, one of them happens to be sexual experimentation (which is normal, believe it or not). And then one day a servant catches you (an underling) and you're just instantly separated from one of the two people that you are attached to.
And we're not talking just emotional attachment, we're talking PHYSICAL attachment. They're probably cuddling at night, which is a good thing for human beings to have human contact. And then "Boom", you're just completely separated because of sexual experimentation, which is at risk of creating a complex for you regarding sexuality and sexuality with your brother. A more healthy approach might have been to allow them to still have contact with each other and slowly kind of wean them away from each other, while at the same time helping them understand their bodies and sexuality and what they're doing, so that they can be "appropriate".
This was a pretty big deal for Cersei.
