She had been at this for hours, never finishing either because of daily house chores or imperfection of the letters themselves. Calligraphy had never come easy for her She longed for the good feeling of having everything come out exactly as she wanted it.
She wrote, starting over. It was a letter to her cousin whom she dearly missed. She stopped to remember the times they had shared together as children. Afterwards, she continued.
