Alzheimer's AwarenessSeptember is "World's Alzheimer's Month". I found this out while reading my local newspaper. The story within was from a concerned daughter-in-law who's mother-in-law had been diagnosed with dementia. All of this woman's children were too worried about upsetting their mother to make sure she would be taken care of so they let her do as she pleases which at this point means that it takes her hours to get dressed and she sits around all day eating sweets.Alzheimer's Awareness4 years ago in Alzheimer Awareness
I speak on this as it is something very close to me. I, too, have had a case where Alzheimer's disease has afflicted a member of my family. Some of you know, some of you don't.
My grandmother-in-law secretly suffered with this disease for quite some time. She passed this month on September 16th due to complications (refusing to eat or take medicine) and also breast cancer.
In an effort to help my mother-in-law and my wife cope with this loss, I also took the time to do some research on the causes, symtoms, and diagnosis of this disease.
