October-a-Thon 3 - The Serpent and the RainbowOnce again, just like Wes Craven, we turn to the library for inspiration into his next film. But not for inspiration of real events to make into a movie, but for a book by Canadian ethnobotanist Wade Davis. Specifically, for this bizarre account of Haitian voodoo and the supposed power to turn people into zombies. Davis, during his travels in 1982, learned the secret to the Haitian zombie voodoo. He learned the the “magic” was actually a powder containing tetrodotoxin, a compound made from the neurotoxin from the flesh of a pufferfish, which are very common in the waters of Haiti and Costa Rica, bufotoxins that exist in the skin of toads and poisonous plants like Datura that causes hallucinations and memory loss. When combined, this made a powder that would have their victims go into a state that would convince others around them that the victim was a zombie.October-a-Thon 3 - The Serpent and the Rainbow7 hours ago in Reviews & Guides
The most notable case of this happening in Davis’ research was Haitian citizen Clairvius Narcisse who claimed

Found footage Horror films, or just found footage films in general are everywhere nowadays aren’t they?
Cannibal Holocaust was an early ancestor but popularized into the mainstream by the likes of The Blair Witch Project and the Paranormal Activity movies. However it seems like quality is sacrificed for quantity as despite a lot of them being shot out of the wazoo, most of them are apparently less than stellar to a point where found footage truly has a gimmick. You either have solid genre pieces of the gimmick such as Chronicle or crap like The Gallows. Creep however fits the former. As I searched around Netflix in the Horror genre, I found the film and upon doing a bit of research, it’s well received to my surprise and one day, I pretty much decided to watch it and it really left me impressed.
And to be honest, this is the second time I’ve seen the film but this is also one of those films where it holds up the second time better.
Even with a lot of elements about

Small Studies Game WalkthroughA walkthrough for a Japanese game that circulated for a bit called 縮小研究部 - I'm pretty sure that translates as "Small Studies Society". Not actually sure where you can get it nowadays, but thought I'd post this in case people are having trouble with it. It was written with version 1.02 in mind, so things may have changed. As a filthy gaijin, I don't know the intricacies of the plot, and may be missing some points; this was written with English-speakers in mind.
Leave the room through the southern door
Go into the room to the left
Speak to the green-haired girl at the left to get items; these items can shrink you if consumed. (Items are in the second option in the menu. You should have about 50 of the shrinking items after talking to her.)
After shrinking, speak to the little boy in the room to get items to grow you
You can run around and have fun with stuff that doesn
Mario: Smash 4 GuideDisclaimer: This is the killing powet that each move has and info on the special moves that Mario has. Kept in mind that all the tests that I have done are mid-stage and that each character in the game has different ways to recover. Just because a move will for sure kill a Little Mac player, doesn't mean that it will kill a Villager player. Each character also has weight differences.Mario: Smash 4 Guide21 hours ago in Reviews & Guides
Killing Moves: All the moves that you see here are all the moves that Mario can kill with. If a move can't kill over 200% than I won't put it on this list. Kept in mind that this kill % guide was made in the 1.1.2 version of the game using Luigi as a test Dummy.

Review: Poodle Justice.First off, I WILL BE REVEALING THE CULPRET, SO BE WARNED.Review: Poodle Justice.16 hours ago in Reviews & Guides
We start off at a show set. Dog is god and human companion is useless....I already have sympathy for this girl....calling it now she did it because she is tired of being a useless sidekick, who constantly have to reffer to herself as such refers to herself as such...I am on her side....Daphne with a beard...oh i loved this running gag. Love the meta joke about the series.
The director's voice is so familiar, and so is the suit guy. I can not place them. Is it Jim Cummings? Scooby and Shag devour the food and Scooby falls for the dog detective poodle. I feel so sorry for this Charline chick. She is being humiliated so badly. If she is the culpret, I would be on her side. The gargoyle attacks again, just after she leaves. The gang hides. Beard saves the day. Scooby humiliates himself infront of the Poodle. We get a fun chase scene, and funny sitcom skit. The trap was fun.
My guess: Charline
Motive: Tired of having to be humiliated
Feedback Commisions (for Literature)I know there's a lot of aspiring writers out there (I'm one of them) and we want a little help, some constructive critism to let us know we're on the right track. But sadly the Literature community doesn't get a lot of attention, and it can be hard to get this critism, and even harder when you need a Core membership to get proper critiques.Feedback Commisions (for Literature)16 hours ago in Reviews & Guides
I personally love writing feedback and helping out other writers like this, I'm even studying to become an editor, so I'm now offering cheap point commisions for feedback/critiques.
Fiction, non-fiction and original story commissions will be 100points (1USD) per thousand words (max of 3 thousand words per commison), and will include a full deviantart critique (vision, originality, technique, impact, deviousness), and I will also check spelling, layout, continuity, and may even find tutorials to help you if I feel you need it.
Fanfiction commisions will be 200points (2USD) per thousand words (max of 3 thousand words per commision) and will get everyt

When Marnie was there:thoughts about the movieWhen Marnie was there:thoughts about the movie11 hours ago in Reviews & Guides
After the season 11 premiere I decided to watch 'when Marnie was there ' (i picked it up on Dvd when I was at the store and I have to say it is one of my favorite studio Ghibli movies joining the ranks of (kiki's Delivery service and Howl's moving castle ) it's so beautiful and touching...last time I cried while watching an animated movie was when I saw inside out....I am very tempted to read the novel the movie was based off of.

After the phenomenal first episode The Flash season 2 we now turn our attention to that shows older, red-haired stepsister Arrow. I like Arrow as a show…overall, but it’s not controversial to say that I vastly prefer The Flash which isn’t surprising considering how that show sidesteps a lot of problems Arrow has. I do like Arrow as a show…overall, but like a lot of people I get tired of the characters constantly squabbling and the romantic plot tumours. It could be awesome too – season 2 in particular was this series closest thing to a sweet spot so far – but while it had some positive season 3 was a letdown. It most famously butchered the fan favourite Felicity Smoak and her relationship with Oliver Queen, among

Omg! Wow I did not see that ending comming. ..wow! I'm worried about Sam and am super happy that Crowley isn't Dead
(Me when I thought Cass killed Crowley )
" cassie no! I need Crowley in my life Don't kill him!"
Loved it when Dean was explaining the darkness to Cass.
"The Darkness is a woman?"
I'm excited yet terrified of what's going to happen to Sam....and Castiel too but Sam ... my poor moose!
Strangely I want my friend to use body paint and paint some "Darkness veins" on my neck. It would look pretty awesome!
