My Problems with Taking CriticismPeople say that I have trouble taking criticism. And enough people do that it definitely makes the argument at least worth looking into. So, what do I think? Do I personally think that I have trouble taking criticism? It's not a simple answer. You want a simple answer, it's both yes and no. I frequently think (not just say, actually think) that some of my critics are trolls. And I'm dismissive to a lot who don't come across as trolls. The thing is... these people are strangers, over the internet. People who I know, and trust, like the people who work on Growing Around with me, I can easily take criticism from them—but that doesn't always mean I agree with them. Here's the thing about me, I need to be able to trust someone before I can take criticism from them, or compliments for that matter. Since graduating from the University of North Texas in May 2013 with a bachelor of arts in English, I have pursued my long-time dream of working as a freelance editor. My mission is to help other writers shine. So far, I've edited ten novels and one biography among four independently published fiction authors, one personal essay for an actress and playwright, and one scholarly article for two academic authors. My poetry has received awards from the Coalition of Texans with Disabilities and the University of North Texas. I also serve as a frequent guest blogger with e
DisappointedI would love to have seen "Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil" continue and see some different things happen to Wacky Jackie Wackerman so badly. I miss her and that show. Two seasons isn't enough. Disney XD won't be the same without "Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil." I was truly disappointed and upset that she didn't appear in "Pool Daze," "Sleepy River Wild," and all the new episodes. She needs to be in them. She's one of the main characters. I love her. When I started seeing new episodes, I said to myself, "Please let Wacky Jackie Wackerman be shown more often and please let her finally be shown barefoot for the first time?," but when it didn't happen, I got angry, upset, and I said to myself, "Come on! I really wanted to have Wacky Jackie Wackerman shown more often and finally be shown barefoot for the first time! It's not that hard!" I want to have Wacky Jackie Wackerman shown more often, finally be shown barefoot, bare legs finally be shown, bare ankles exposed when her shoeDisappointed5 hours ago in Articles & Interviews More Like This
