I love you"The thing about you is that you're different."I love you2 days ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
I looked up at him. He smiled, his hazel eyes crinkled, his gaze filled with love.
A smile involuntarily spread across my face. His gaze was so penetrating, it turned my cheeks red.
He stroked my cheek. I started swinging my legs for something to do. They dangled over the edge of the stone bridge in the park. He took my hand and looked me in the eye.
"I love you," he murmered.
Fear spread like ice throughout my chest, making little pinpricks on my skin. I couldn't move; it scared me, it felt wrong. It was wrong. We'd only been together for a week. Was I wrong about what love is? Is it that cheap?
I took it stride though. "I love you too." It was full voice, but it felt like a whisper. It was the same dryness, the same cold. I was so uncomfortable, so cold...
He didn't notice. He laughed and hugged me.
He couldn't see that I wasn't smiling.
Mistaken Love ~ Chapter Four.It was 9:15 pm, and my parents were just about to get ready for bed.Mistaken Love ~ Chapter Four.3 days ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
As I heard them walking up the stares, I quickly shut off my lamp, as I jumped into bed.
After a couple of seconds, my bedroom door slowly creaked open, as I pretended to be in a deep sleep.
Faint whispers began to be heard, as I slowly started to ease drop.
"She's already sound a sleep? It's unusual for her to go to bed early on Friday nights."
My dad said, as he spoke to my mom.
"Well, maybe if you didn't ground her for being who she actually is, maybe she would still be awake."
My mom protested.
"You shouldn't have grounded her for such horrid reason. If she wants to walk around and look like a male, she can. This is who she is."
"I guess you're right. Maybe I was a bit too harsh on her today."
My dad admitted, with a sigh.
"I think tomorrow morning, we should have a family breakfast and do something with the kids tomorrow. But first, you need to apologies to Sam."
My mom said, as I heard footsteps comin
Mistaken Love ~ Chapter Five.I couldn't walk.Mistaken Love ~ Chapter Five.3 days ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
Everything felt like was either really dizzy or trying to run in my dream when all I could do was run in slow motion.
My hearing and seeing were not easy to explain, as I just sat in one spot.
Every few seconds it would feel like I was going to fall out of my chair.
I was honestly terrified.
Yet, I was very hyper and jumpy as well.
"Hey, are you having fun?"
Rachel asked, as she slightly slurred her words.
Almost every single person here was wasted, or close to being waste.
I tried to find my brother, but I didn't want to go in the living room, for the fear of passing out.
"Yeah! What about you?"
I replied by with the same amount of slurs.
"Of course! This is awesome!"
Rachel shouted, as she took a couple sips of her beer.
Everything suddenly turned into cheers as one of my favorite songs came on.
Just One Yesterday by Fall Out Boy.
But I couldn't give it away.
"Want to dance?"
I asked, as I slowly stood up.
Rachel nodded, as she took my hand, and the both of us walked
Mistaken Love ~ Chapter Three. Not only is Rachel in two of my classes, but five.Mistaken Love ~ Chapter Three.3 days ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
We have six classes in total, and she is in five of them...
All she has been doing is staring at me, and it's starting to either piss me off, or give me the creeps.
Once school was over, I walked out of my Astronomy class, as I tried to walk outside.
I then felt someone tap my shoulder, as I turned my head to see who it was.
"So, you're in five out of six classes of mine. How creepy."
Rachel said, as she chewed her gum.
"Yeah, I guess so."
I said, as I moved to the side of the halls, so we could talk.
Might as well talk to her now anyways.
All Rachel did was smile, as she looked over.
I followed her eyes, to see her group of friends across the hall.
Of course. Why am I not surprised?
"Um, hey listen? If you wanted to talk to me earlier, you could of. Instead of staring at me from the distance."
I said coldly, with a smile.
"You're a bit feisty. I like that in a man."
Rachel said, as
Mistaken Love ~ Chapter Six.The sun grew through my bedroom window, as I slowly started to wake up.Mistaken Love ~ Chapter Six.3 days ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
Groaning, I shoved my head underneath the pillow, as I covered my body up underneath the blanket.
What all happened last night?
Most of it is all a blur.
I pushed the pillow away, as I sat up.
My head was pounding, my bones were sore, the odor of alcohol stuck to me.
I wonder why I couldn't remember anything.
As I placed my two own feet on the fluffy carpet, I looked over to see the time.
It's too early to even get up.
I haven't been able to sleep since I got home last night.
I woke up off and on constantly, thinking I was going to be sick all over myself, but I wasn't.
Fortunately, I will never drink my life away again.
Slowly standing up, I noticed my clothes were completely off my body, despite the black pair of boxers that hung low around my knees.
What happened last night while I was trying to sleep?
I'm such a weird sleeper at night.
Pulling my boxers up, I walked to the other side of the room, as I
