Mathieu sighed and rubbed his head as he stood in the dish pit. He felt hot and he had a terrible headache. He had considered calling out, but decided against it. He needed every dollar he could possibly make. He had already spent way too much money the night before on medicines and soups. He had a small fever but it was still miserable to experience. He was a bit irritable on top of that, having slept rather little. Between not feeling well and uncomfortable dreams, the person in the room next to him on one side had music playing or the television on really loud. On the other side, it must have been a honeymoon couple or a rendezvous affair. It was the loudest and most obnoxious sex ever.
He had already paid for three tea bags and two bowls of soup. This was upsetting. He was supposed to be trying to save money, not spend it on crap just because he felt a little funny.

This required him to wear a silly wig and fake glasses in order to keep his private and work life separate. Now here he was waiting for the book signing to begin with a mop of blonde hair and glasses covering his eyes. As soon as the doors opened girls flooded the room with only a handful of boys. Logan ordered everyone into a line and the what seemed like endless hours of signing a name that wasn't his began. After a few girls he ran into trouble. 'The prince sat astride his white steed, his dark cloak flowing out behind him. A silver band boud his blonde locks, his face was cold with the rage of battle and pained with loss.' Drake sat back in his chair and stretched his arms. All night he had been trying to write the final battle now it was finally ready for the epic cliffhanger he had planned. Then his novel would be complete. Drake checked his watch 8:02 pm, good that left two hours before his rough draft was due. His editor Logan was very picky about hitting the deadlines. He and Logan had been friends in high school but their paths grew separate when they graduated until their careers and perhaps a bit of fate brought them back together. As if thinking of him made him appear, suddenly Drake's study door flew open.
