Meet the Candiloids Pt 4.
The youth looked upwards at the woman who stood inches above him. If this woman was a Candiloid, she would be the tallest that he has ever seen. As the pair locked eyes, eventually the tall girl wearing a light colored tank-top leaned forward, closing the distance between them within their gaze. “Oh, it’s a human.” The girl said, her voice was smooth, quiet, and strangely soothing as the youth just nodded that he was, in fact a human. “Oh your with the tour group that I saw go in earlier. How do you like our academy?” The tall dark skinned girl asked as looking from her face to her body he could see the curve of muscles growing upon her body. This girl looked to be as strong as any human male that he had met. Though his answer made him feel awkward as the girl before him giggled with soft, smooth laughter that haunted his thoughts. “Oh so
Redacted Pt 20: Knowledge is Power "Okay Scott! Uncle! I give up! You win!" Screaming out as he holds me upside down by my ankle. Has me in a tough spot that despite being more flexible than him, he has me locked in. His body is ready for combat as he is using one hand to grip onto me while the other clenches a meaty fist. Looking at his now forming black eye and cut lip a smile appears upon my face.Redacted Pt 20: Knowledge is Power39 minutes ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"Awwww," laughter escaping both our lips as he sets me down on my back, the cold wooden floor pretty comforting right now to my pulsating muscles. Pretty sore overall from head to toe just from the past hour that we have been sparring nonstop. If he is holding back right now I am more nervous of Supers than I was before we started our exercise.
"Plus I think I have said everything you want to know." Talked to him about jobs I have done, parts about growing up without my folks, and a couple friends from back in my military days. Funny how many things he can relate to despite him working

Meet the Candiloids Pt 3.
The girl stood frozen with her chair behind her. Like a deer caught in the headlights she stared ahead at the human youth before her. Confused and surprised by his presence as she dared not look at the youth before her. “Um, h, hi.” The girl greeted meekly as the youth seemed confused as to why his presence bothered her so much. “Oh, you were trying to catch up with the tour. But stopped when you heard me?” The girl seemed to finally get over her shyness when she found that she was not being spied upon. “I, I’m sorry but since you stopped to see what I was doing you have probably missed them already.” The girl apologized as the youth just shook his head. Dismissing her apology. “Though, I can get you back in time so you can leave with your friends or family.” The girl smiled as the youth thought this girl was sweet, soft and k
Woman In WhiteMichael found himself staring at things only visible within his inner mind. He was in a lucid dream; he was able to think, hear, and react as clearly as if the dream were reality.Woman In White2 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
He found himself afloat, in a serene expanse of perfectly flat water. As Michael started treading water to keep himself afloat, his dreamy, steady movements caused slight ripples in the reflective, lustrous surface of the water. Head bobbing above the surface, the tranquil, unperturbed situation Michael was dreaming about made the man feel at ease. The sky above was at dusk, shielded by puffs of cloud which extended as far as the eye could see. Subtle, gleaming rays of invisible stars illuminated the rippling waves of the pool below, gleaming beams shimmering on the water's surface. The atmosphere was hushed, not a peep emitting from the surroundings, the only sounds for miles and miles the paced breathing from Michael. There was no disruption to potentially vex Michael and steal away the peace, leaving Micha
INCOMPLETE memories 3I wanted to be left alone, to have time to record my memories, but I could not turn my back on my brother. Not now, not when he was finally reaching out to me. He came looking for comfort and shelter, for somewhere to cry without being judged or mocked or patronized. I wasn't surprised to learn that he had trouble fitting in here because of his loss but I was surprised at how deeply he struggled, how desperately he wanted to belong, needed to belong.INCOMPLETE memories 33 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Maybe it was similar pain that drove me to tell my story and maybe it was just that he needed to hear, needed to know. I don't know what it was but I told him anyway and it seemed to help. I was glad I could help and relieved when he started talking. I couldn't do anything if he didn't tell me what was wrong.
I guess it didn't surprise me that everything was raw now because of the police, again. They had my information, I was his legal guardian now, they had no business contacting him like that and I would let them know- tomorrow when I wa

memories 2 - abijah"What?" I froze in the cracked doorway. That one word held so much. Irritation, anger, frustration. Had I done something or was she simply in a bad mood? I flinched back and stared at my feet, hoping I hadn't caused it. She sighed and waved at me, "get in here." She still sounded less than enthusiastic but she wasn't telling me to leave... I slipped through the door, closing it behind me and leaned on it. She could read me like an open book, I knew because I sucked at masking myself and she had centuries of experience.memories 2 - abijah4 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"What's up?" The attempt at good humor, frivolity in her voice was a mild comfort. That she was trying for me helped. I took a deep breath to speak and choked on my own words.
Watching everyone downstairs, the interaction, the familiarity, the companionship it had been too much. I still haven't quite gotten over my mothers death and I wasn't very good at the social game. I tended to say the wrong things in the absolute worse way. Sitting back in the shadows in silence wa

"Because we are going to Detroit," I replied.
"Why?" Tom asked.
"Well, if you look at the letters on the numbers of each digit in the phone number. The only combination that makes sense is Detroit," I replied.
"Where are we going to go when we get there?"
"I don't know, but have we every really known where we were going? At least we know what city to go to."
"Fair enough," Tom said. After that, we began to get ready to go. I was in charge of getting the car ready again. Tom packed up our bags.
We then set off on our journey to Detroit, MI. We reached our destination, and now we have to figure out where our parents were. Just then we got a text from the number. It read, "Welcome to Detroit"

I look and see that the structure is home a small group of these creatures, which look horrified at the sight of me.
My mind races, trying to think of a way to get out of this situation.
If they scream or panic, my position will be known and the monster with the brown protrusion will locate my position. If I let them out of sight, they may try to flee and get help, giving away my location anyway. Normally this would bother me, but given the damage I took from that blast, I am in no condition to fight, much less run. &
Don't tell anyone - 3Paranoia rode hard on my shoulders, had he followed me back? Why had no one mentioned the freak living in the woods? Slowly my breathing went back to normal. There was simply no way he could have kept up. I had run in mad circles finding my way back by pure coincidence. Surely that itself would be enough to ensure relative safety. My courage returned, I picked myself up again moving into the living room and drawing the curtains tightly shut. Okay, had to be more careful next time. There was no way I wanted to run into him again. What had he said? Legends, she? Did it have something to do with that book? Crap, in my haste I had left all my shopping, my shoes, in that mad man’s house! No idea where my shopping was now, nor that book. Was it even chance I had found it? What I wouldn’t give to find out what was in that book! Then again as weird as this place was I didn’t have any doubts that I would see that book again. Hopefully it would be before anything worse happenedDon't tell anyone - 38 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

So, my therapist said I should start keeping a journal. She's not going to read it or anything, but she said it might bring up some things I want to talk about. Whatever. I guess it kind of makes sense. If nothing else it gives me something to do, and it makes it look like I'm actually listening to her. She’ll probably consider that progress.
“Trace, what the hell are you doing?” The tone in Tycho’s voice made it sound like Trace must have been doing something incredibly strange.
“I’m writing. It’s this thing people do when they have words in their head that they want to remember later on.” When Tycho didn’t respond to Trace’s sarcasm she couldn’t resist the urge to continue.

The Journey Begins
“This emergency Tenla Government meeting has now come to order.”
The lights abovehead flickered on one-by-one with heavy claps; although, they did very little to light up the dim conference room. The walls were painted black, complementing the blackwood floor and shimmering in the dull light from the lamps hanging from the ceiling. One wall was comprised of large, heavily tinted windows, preventing the sunset's canvas of orange, yellow, and red from eliminating some of the shadowiness inside the meeting room.
In the middle was a large, black table styled like a horseshoe: a near-perfect oval save for the indentation at the topmost end. It accommodated fourteen stuffed conference chairs, all of which seated adult men and woman garbed in similar business suits. Occupying the indentation was a large, blackwood podium reminiscent of a judge’s.
Seated there was a large, imposing, and fair-skinned man of around fifty-one years of age, sporting a sq
