I watched my parents pull out of the driveway in their car, and speed away. I was being left home alone with my three younger sisters. Hannah (the oldest of the three, six years old), Emily (Second oldest, five years old) and Mandy (my youngest sister). I was to babysit them for a full week and a half while my parents left for a giant business trip in Egypt. I have an older sister also, but she lives out of the house, across town with her boyfriend, so I don't see her all that often.
The first few hours were easy. Us four watched TV, played a few simple board games, ate pizza for dinner, and did all sorts of stuff. Their bedtime came before I knew it. Just as typical for girls their age, none of them wanted to go to sleep. I decided to put Mandy to bed first... she was youngest, she would need more sleep, right?
"Come on, Mandy! It's t

Brendon drove closer to the tall building, confident that it was the right one. He checked the street number one last time before pulling into the parking and stepping out of his car.
“Yup, this is the place! Home sweet home!”
Triumphantly, he hauled his luggage out of the trunk of his car and entered the lobby of his new home.
Although his parents lived in the same city, Brendon insisted that he would move out and find himself an apartment once he got to college. There was something about all the added freedom and responsibility that came with living on his own that he craved to experience. To his surprise, both his parents were supportive of the idea. In fact, it’s thanks to his dad that he ended up finding the apartment that he would end up moving into.
“Why don’t you try calling your uncle Chris? He still owns the apartment that he used to live in when he was in college, maybe he can rent it to you.”

Don't Sleep TonightThe farmhouse was eerily quiet at nighttime. No cars honking, no rumbling subways, no incessant dripping. Donnie found it unsettling.Don't Sleep Tonight2 weeks ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
He had always been a bit of an insomniac. Staying up into all hours of the night working on inventions and experiments made it nearly impossible for Donatello to shut off his brain and get solid sleep, especially now that he was miles away from his own bed.
And so he stared. He created shapes in the ceiling, cast by the shadows of his candle-lit lantern. But there always seemed to be a face stained there, staring straight back at him.
She had kissed him earlier that evening, so near his mouth he could almost taste her. What he wouldn’t have done to turn slightly so their lips had met.
Donatello could not help but feel like there was more intention behind that kiss than the others. Much more. But no, after the incident with Bigfoot, he could no longer give himself the false hope that April could ever love him.
He mentally erased all the shape

"No, we can't recover from this!" Bruce yelled, slamming his fist down on the table. It had been a relatively uneventful few months, with the business slowly expanding, along with the waistlines of pretty much all of their markets. After a very successful launch period in Metropolis, the team had agreed on a market push. Start expanding, macromanagment from core investors while the business slowly became less of a concern for the heroes while the profits still flowed in. And with the numbers actually crushing Lex Luthor's start up, it was unsurprising to most that Lex had withdrawn his snack cakes almost immediately. However, Bruce, with his uncanny business knowledge, and Clark, with his inherent distrust of Lex, both knew he had a power play in his hands. And he did.
The initial move to newer markets had done well, but then the rumors started. Headlines such a

“I still don’t think it’s a good idea.” Sarah grumbled.
“We don’t have any better ideas.” Michelle argued. The entire group was sitting around the beach with the umbrella out. The sun was now in the sky and, as such, Asher had turned back into Ashley and was hiding under the umbrella while they all discussed the one thing that was on their minds. They had missed the train home…how were they supposed to GET home!? The group had been spending all morning talking about possible ideas…and Katie had presented one that all agreed on except Sarah.
“It’s just not right guys!” She said. “It’s stealing!”
“It’s necessary.” Katie argued.
“I agree with Katie.” Abraham said. “We can’t stay here any longer.”
“Yes. God forbid Asher get more of tan than already has.” Tamil joked.
“I HEARD THAT YOU BANDAGED BASTARD!” Ashley snapped. The group l

Death is something that is always thought of as silent. Dead men tell no tales, dead men make no noise; they remain silent as the grave. There are even those who are said to pass peacefully. For Mycaelis and Vagus, death was never silent. They had both killed as they lived in a world where one must kill or be killed themselves. Never once could either sibling recall an occasion where death had been silent.
Death is the screams of agony as flesh is torn from broken bones, the howls of pain when entrails are split upon the ground. The cries for mercy, the shrieks of horror, the gurgling sound of someone drowning in their blood. Then come the sounds of those that behold death’s work. The screams of terror, the gasps of disbelief, the wailing of loved ones as they grieve for their loss. And there are those that say nothing at all, for words fail to describe their horror or their grief.
As Mycaelis and Vagus sat silent in that hovel in the jungle, they could hear death outside,
Intruder: Penny Hamel"I swear, if I got one dollar for every story Alex and the others tell me of them being kidnapped." Penny said wearing a red t-shirt with jean shorts with white thigh highs and black shoes and she was inserting her key into the front door knob and unlocked the door and entered her house with a yawn. "Time for a snack and bed." Penny said as it was rather late but she stopped when she saw her house a mess as if someone had come and tossed a bunch of stuff around.Intruder: Penny Hamel3 weeks ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"What the helmrphfm!?" She began to shout out as a gloved hand clamp over her mouth muffling her cry as she pressed against a tall person's harden chest where she began to struggle lightly before a gun was held up in front of her vision as the door was slammed shut behind her. "Rmrpmrm!" She moan with fearful eyes as a gruff voice spoke to her softly.
"Don't scream, don't struggle and you'll live to see the morning." A man's voice said making Penny shake from her fear as she did her best to nod her head agreeing with his demand
Female Mowgli Request- Second PartThe bark was rough against Mugdha's red loincloth, and the trunk was hard and unforgiving. Still, she knew sleep would not evade her, she was more than used to spending her nights in these trees, safe from the dangers of the forest floor. Her eyes were closed, not even glancing at the sinister presence that had emerged from the dense leaves above her head. Kaa eyed up the young woman, eyes rapturous with hunger. She would do very nicely, though the serpent suspected that she would be a tougher meal than most, given her muscular frame and sharp eyes. Kaa lowered a thick loop of coil from the canopy and let his tail dangle like a creeper behind her. He hoped to intimidate the girl with his vast length and powerful, crushing coils.Female Mowgli Request- Second Part1 month ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Hanji, Petra, Marco, and I sang along to the radio as we and the other section leaders ate breakfast. It was our last day of band camp, so we decided to go to IHOP as a treat. We were having a better time than usual, but Levi didn’t seem rather amused at our singing.
“If I have to hear that song one more time, I’m going to staple treble clefs on your foreheads,” he growled.
I halted my singing, but Hanji clapped a hand on my shoulder. “Aw, don’t pay attention to him. His threats are always empty.”
“Not always,” interjected Reiner. “Remember the time he threatened to make Jean run laps if he didn’t hold his trumpet up right?”
Hanji cackled. “Yeah. And Jean ended up running for the rest of practice because he gave Levi an attitude.”
I raised an eyebrow at Jean, to which he s
Kaa and Shanti, Detailed- Part 3Her arms now dangling limp by her sides, Shanti's body had become a compliant doll, a thoughtless mass which preceded from her spellbound eyes and was beyond her control. The extinguished torch had left the foliage rustling in obsidian darkness though this seemed to make the python's especially large eyes glow even more. By now, four or five rings were present in Shanti's eyes at any one time and her childlike grin had slackened into a look of gormless wonder. She was a little older than Mowgli but her sheltered upbringing in the village had left her vulnerable and easy prey for the mesmerizing serpent. Life in the dense Indian jungle had no internet or t.v. and so Shanti's mind was not used to this kind of information onslaught, it made her dizzy and pliant.Kaa and Shanti, Detailed- Part 33 weeks ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Luke and others in the train continued to stare in awe of the world around them. It truly was as if it was spawned from the mind of toddlers. Many were still staring at the castle with the same wide eyed amazement children get when they see the castle at Disneyland for the first time. The train entered from a hole in the side of the wall surrounding the palace, turned a sharp left and we were given our first look at what was inside.
What we entered was a large courtyard. There was a main pathway leading up the palace itself and in the centre of the path was a large area with two fountains and benches. The palaces that weren’t paths were gardens, filled with bushes and colourful flowers. From what Luke was seeing, a few things truly stood out, amongst everything else he had seen since coming here. For one, the colours in this world seemed to be much brighter than the ones in the previous world, like he had entered a children’s tv show. S

After swimming a long way, Donald came up to Marina's side, "Are you okay?"
"All I did was get a lot off my chest," she answered without looking at him. "All I really want now is to be there for Ariel. . . but with her being so angry at us. . . I just. . ." She finally stopped and nearly broke down. She held on to her arms as she bent over and felt the water get warm around her eyes again. Her muscles tensed up as she was getting short of breath and began to weep.
