Scarlet Daze, Chapter 1, Enter the WastesScarlet Daze, Chapter 1, Enter the Wastes5 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
The Scarlet Night shone upon the barren wasteland, turning it to an endless sea of red. Around the ruins of the Old World lay corpses and memories of those lost long ago. The winds blew the dust from the ground, unveiling what once had been the Peacekeepers Sanctuary. A former safe haven for any and all down on their luck. The sanctuary were mere ruins now, however.
The hollowed out shells of the Peacekeepers stared out into the empty ruins, their darkened eyes following every soul passing through the halls. Shadows of the enslaved dancing around the ruins, laughing and smiling as they had done so long ago. If one was quiet enough one could be lucky enough to hear the laughs of their children.
The children's quarters were rendered in a state much less recognizable. Their shadows were still playing. Though suddenly. They would stop. A breeze blew through the ruins as the shadows of the children stood still. The shadows looked as if they glanced off into the distance.
All was silent. No
They Grow Up So Fast 3“To begin with my name is Edmund Bartolume, next there are a few things that you need to understand. When I say realm it’s not to say that it's a land filled with elves, unicorns, magic or anything such as that, because I know that is most likely what you’re thinking. What I do mean is a parallel world to your own. The science is all a bit tedious and sadly I don’t know how much of it you young ladies would understand. What I guess is important for you to understand here is that your earth is not the only earth. There are so very many. Most don’t even know of the other’s existence. It’s best that way really. Some are really nasty places. Most are very similar to this world. Mine is not. Any way I am getting off track a little.” The strange little man named Edmund paused for a moment to collect his thoughts. They Grow Up So Fast 317 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Lunaria:Genesis 27- ObstacleHe next day Sanies has us outside walking towards an obstacle course that was hidden behind the trees before. It is large and complex, filled with tight spaces and high climbs. We stare at it in awe as Sanies just takes out a stopwatch and sits in a folding chair he brought with him, wearing a straw hat and shades.Lunaria:Genesis 27- Obstacle13 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"This is just for me to see how much you can do, each of you will go through the course and then you will all go through together. Try not to get hurt and if you fall you have to start at that obstacle again." He says. "Hmmmm,... Amy, you are first." He chooses.
Amy steps up to the front of the first platform, looking very unsure of herself. Sanies sets the timer and says go and she is off, running down the first suspended bridge. She gets to the first obstacle, crossing over a thin net to the other platform high above the ground. She tries walking across but fell on the net to her hands and knees, crawling forward. The net swayed and rocked, sending her crashing to the grou

Siphon Chamber, Fistpunch Caverns
Relmor turned from the violet rays of the Veneration Siphon and strode towards an adjacent chamber with a contemplative gait. Much had transpired since he last spoke to Madelyn without worry of their plans reaching unworthy ears. Her assault on the elven warrior, Katsvelte Don Debeo, in tandem with initiating her match with Rorie early was sure to raise some red flags amongst those remaining in the tournament. Wariness would lead to caution, and if not handled properly, that caution could turn into opposition.
That was something he couldn't allow, no matter what.
The Lich entered the chamber and illuminated it with a wave of his grisly skeletal fingers. An orb of dull amber light shimmered into being and bathed the scene in a soft yellow. Tomes of all shapes and sizes littered the floor a

Chapter Four: Eyeballs Don't Go In Spaghetti
He was running. Running was all that mattered. He had to get away; he just had to live for another minute, another hour, another day. There was nothing else left to do. Waylon Park didn’t even know where he was running to or what he running from. The rotting walls and patchy tile all started to look the same as time blended together.
Voices could be heard behind him. He couldn’t catch if they were saying “Feed me! Feed me!” or something far worse. A chill ran down his spine at the sound of a saw starting up. His feet slipped on the slick tile and he crashed to the floor. This was it the thought. This was his end. This was where he died.
But Waylon didn’t die, he woke up grasping the sheets and sweating from a marathon he didn’t run. The cold air hit his warm body while his heart pounded a drumbeat into his ears that seemed overwhelming in the quiet bedroom. It was
Shame: Chapter 11 As soon as the elevator doors opened on her floor, Monica's mother was waiting to pounce. Flinging her arms around her daughter in a grandstand performance, she hugged her tight. Monica gasped for air, due to her mother's intense embrace. Elise stood in the doorway, scolding her future mother-in-law for running out the door like that, but stopped mid sentence and smiled. She then strode the distance to her entrapped lover, and helped pry her loose from the would be death grip of smother love.Shame: Chapter 117 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

A groan sounds from under the small pile of blankets on the floor. The pile tilts slightly too far to the left and spills onto the dirty floor. An exasperated sigh escapes from under the last couple of blankets before they too are kicked off by a pair of muscular light brown legs belonging to the body of the eleven year-old Prince of Ceria. Well. Ex-Prince. He rolls onto his side and stares at the blank wall of his cell. Sitting up, he runs his fingers through his dark long hair, pulling on his ears; their texture like coarse velvet. Moving both of his hands to the tips of his ears, he yawns. Opening one granet red eye, he stands and paces over to the door of his cell. Lowering one of his arms, he bangs on the hard surface, as he had been doing for the past few months before voicing his usual request,
"Hey. Heeey. Guard guy... Yo guard guy, get up. It's been, like, a week since I asked," The guard looks to the side of him to where the boy's arms were h

Baromba International Airport, Mogola
The name had been devised in the colonial days to welcome visitors, but the airport three miles outside the city limits of the Mogolan capital was more like a small city airport in the US. There was a terminal building, and a runway, but much of the air traffic that went through the area was freight rather than commercial.
Even with that, however, the airport was busy – just not with commercial flights. One or two people were flying to neighboring states and countries, but the security staff outnumbered them, so that the terminal looked more like a paramilitary staging area.
What scared most of the residents of Baromba away, however, was the presence of so many Orientals. They seemed to be everywhere – walking through the terminal, checking flights, and standing guard alongside their African colleagues.
The airfield itself was large – it had been designed with heavy m
Demon Child 1-2Carrying the elf’s limp body the figure that claimed his damaged vessel carried him with purpose. Guided by invisible markers to a building where it felt safe enough to store the elf’s body. Finding the door locked, when the figure attempted to turn the knob, growling in frustration carrying the load in her arms it rose a boot up and with a powerful boot splintered the rather worn door open at the joint. The door swung open, hitting upon the opposing wall as the figure carried the elf inside. Setting the body down a moment in the darkness, eyes searching for something of light as the flame of a small oil lamp provided only a dim beacon in the vast darkness but it had to do.Demon Child 1-211 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Silent Reaper-Chapter 2I nudged my now bandaged wing and slowly stretched it as I stood up. Only yesterday had I arrived at this place--the White Rose Facility. With the help of the robotic girl--Mary, I think was her name--I was able to speak with Seth, the leader of the White Rose. He had allowed me to stay here for the night and today, I was going to show him if I was valuable enough to join the society. My wing had been healed up for the most part, it'll just leave a large scar. I unwrapped the bandages and tried flying to a low hover. I felt happy about still being able to fly, but I couldn't bring myself to smile. Or laugh. Or talk. I just felt...empty. I looked at the time and saw it was almost time for me to show my skills. I stood up and walked outside to see Seth and a girl who looked extremely similar to him. A sister, perhaps?
Seth cleared his throat and said, "Good morning. Today you will be tested in 3 things: Strength, Speed, and Intellect. First off, can you tell me your name?"

Curiosity got the best of me the next day. I wanted to explore the bottom of the cliff, despite there being a meadow where we would see an occasional herd of elk or deer. Accompanying me were Wayne and Harlan. The others decided to add a few finishing touches to our shelter. We each grabbed a spear and headed down the cliff.
We soon reached the bottom of the cliff. In front of us was a fast flowing river. It looked to be about seven feet deep. So we looked across the river and decided to check out the other side. Wayne held on tight to me as Harlan and I swam across.
We just made it to the shore when we saw him. There was Blood-Bath, staring right at us! We split up to try and confuse him. He just randomly swiped at whoever was near him. I then moved into stab him in the side with my spear. However, the son of a gun was quick enough to turn around and break it before I could do anything.
I started to crawl away in cowardice when I heard a “Nah! Nah! Here, st

In the beginning of time, mankind had always had the sight for color. They were able to see the primary hues from left to right, and explore more to create combinations of them. There was the primary colors, which were red, yellow, and blue. And then there were the secondary colors, which were orange, green, and purple. So forth, more colors scattered and formed into being with combinations, as if they were a large variety that are like the stars that lit up the night.
Humans continued to see color, and whenever they looked up to the sky, they began to have the idea that is intertwined with the stars and the hues they find. Because there are so many stars, people had the thought of every hue they see in color one part that we see in the night sky. Therefore, they named this as colorstrology, a mixture between astrology and color. Although, it wasn't just about how one color can be unique on one day, but a p

Chapter 5: Footloose
Exiting the bar, Alice’s feet once more pounded the smooth pavement, but the sensations she had felt when leaving her Halls of Residence were much reduced.
The soles of Alice’s feet had developed a certain degree of hardness and, just like those of her ancient ancestors, were protecting her from the elements. However, nothing could prepare her for the distinctly rougher tarmac that stretched along the promenade, broken down and eroded by countless winter nights of gale force winds and choppy waves.
This was Alice’s first real challenge, and she slowed up considerably as the loose particles of old concrete stabbed at the soft flesh of her bare soles.
‘Are you OK?’ asked Jenna.
‘Yeah, fine’ replied Alice, as she walked gingerly over the rough surface, the loose particles of gra

It reminds me I should start sparing money for a car, that's be a great solution to avoid that daily shower...which isn't useful at all since I'll even need to take one once back home. I walk slowly but carefully, I don't need to hurry anyway...I know nobody is waiting me home...so I walk, letting each drop the time to fall on the ground. Silence. It was all that had existed outside the mud and straw hut, and now it had penetrated the walls and leaked in. The fragile eyes of clean glass marked with an azure ring around a black hole stared off at the ghost. There was a look of growing worry in those eyes of hers. She had told the other of the potential dangers that came with the ability to imagine.
Imagining was a dangerous thing, in this world–no, not world, universe. It’s not that it was illegal, because it wasn’t. It’s not because doing it in such a vivid way has been known to spawn potentially rebellious and evil minds. It’s none of these reasons that imagining is deadly. It’s the pow
