The Diner - Part 1Paradise, Texas; Population 451. Located about 65 miles northwest of Dallas, the speck of a town had more churches than people. I first encountered the aptly named villa on my way back to Houston from Oklahoma City, where I’d been stationed for the past week while meeting with a potential new client for work. A wrong turn off of I-35 put me miles off course, and I hadn’t passed anything but cotton fields and cow pastures for what seemed like hours. The Diner - Part 121 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Now, my rented Altima was running on fumes, and I didn’t know if I could make it another ten minutes down the road, much less the hour or more it would take to reach the relative civilization of Dallas. So, with the silver Nissan threatening to die at any moment, I coasted into the gravel-covered parking lot of ‘Pearl’s Diner and Petrol’ to give my trusty steed a much needed drink.
It was mid-July, and the sweltering Texas sun beat down on my already perspiring brow as I popped the

It did make her feel a bit better, to say the least. Especially since things didn't seem to be right.
Soundwave and Bombrush were nowhere in sight. They were supposed to have been back by now... Bombrush had promised her that he would bring Soundwave back before the announcement. She knew that she was a grown woman and could handle herself, but her nerves were so rattled that she just wanted Soundwave to be there as a familiar, friendly face. Not to mention help calm her down.
Now she felt even worse. Bloodshed had tried to calm her nerves after he had her sit in this chair, offering to have a servant bring tea or food for her if she needed it. He had even offered

Teil 1: Entführung
Kein Licht brannte.

A soft sigh escaped her slight pouty lips that were painted a dark, blood red by her favorite brand of lipstick. Her dull blue-grey eyes swiftly glanced around the room, her tanned arms crossed.
Her almond-shaped eyes landed on the clock as she sat down on her cream colored couch.
7:18 p.m. He was late. Again.
She cleared her throat and tried to smoothen out the small crinkles in her green dress. The dress ended at her knees and had slits on either sides, both an inch long. There was only one strap that went across her shoulder, and the clothing had small, inticrate designs from under her breasts to the end of the dress. The top half was a lighter, mint green while the rest was darker shades.
She heard a hard knock on the front door. She snapped her head hopefully to it and stood up. She walked over and placed her hand on the golden han

She ground her teeth against it, trying to take deep breaths and failing miserable. It felt like being stabbed, gutted, all over again. This wasnot what she remembered giving birth to feel like. "NO I CHANGED MY MIND! STOP!" she writhed in the bed, trying to squirm out of the doctors reach, for all the good that would do her as another spasm of pain shot through her body.

“Please don’t, it’s a waste of money,” Andrea told Cyril yet again as he discussed trials and taking Andrea’s attacker to court. Like Gill, she wasn’t really comfortable having Cyril fund something like that for her.
“C’mon, one good lawyer. The longer you wait to take him to court, the harder it will be to make him pay for this!” Cyril countered, Gill folding his arms and shaking his head. They had been at it for at least an hour now and there was no end of it in sight. The way the police had acted, it almost seemed like they would’ve made an arrest if Andrea hadn’t survived—so far, they were treating the whole case as though it were her fault.
“I think we’re dealing with a slightly different problem than just Andrea being attacked. The officers she spoke to all seem to think it was her fault, and they were all male. Could be a coincidence… could be sexism,” Gill mused, both Andrea a

“Sometimes,” Lizzie answered from behind the counter. “But it’s been a while, so we’re grateful for the moisture.”
Moisture, Kit thought, mouthing the word and feeling it on her slightly burnt tongue before she took another sip of tea. In New York the rain would enliven the world and make everything richer, brighter, more vibrant in every aspect. The trees would become items of stark contrast with deep brown bark soaking in the life water and the leaves would dance as the droplets bounced off their brightly green forms. Kit felt more alive when breathing in the refreshing scent of wet dirt and pavement and feeling the drops on her skin and hair. But here, in the desert, with this kind of heavy downpour, the world was grey. Grey drops, grey-brown dirt, brown-grey woo

Saiph continued to look at the food as they entered her room, and she missed Heilyn's obvious glare at Nik as he passed him. "I brought you some strawberry lemonade," he said thickly as he walked inside and handed her the drink that was on the tray he was carrying.
She took the drink with steady hands and immediately took a large gulp, hoping that it would help to cool down her face; she felt like she was on fire. After she swallowed, she looked up and said, "I haven't had one of these in a long time. Thank you."
Heilyn nodded his head once as he set the tray of miscellaneous food items on the table beside her. "We didn't get you any big meals, since I thought it might be a bit hard on your stomach. So try not to overindulge, all right?"
"I won't," she replied as she took another sip of her drink.
Kaci gave a pointed look at Christie, who was still smirking as they set their trays of food down as well, but she ignored it completely. "You seem a lot more chipper since we left." Kaci gla

Oliver padded down the moonlit street, the cobblestone sidewalk beneath him crumbling. He stopped down the middle of the block, looked about himself warily and slipped into a decrepit shop swiftly as a shadow. The lights were all busted out, and the door was hard to push shut again, but Oliver walked across the dusty floor with an air of confidence. Going behind the store counter, he pushed gently against a large mirror mounted against the wall. It gave way, pushing inward to a passageway. A small lamp was flickering just inside the space, and a ruddy face peered out from the dark.
"Just me, Brady." Oliver said, wiping his handprint from the glass before pulling the secret door shut.
"Right then," the ruddy face said.
Oliver walked down the passage way, nodding as he passed Brady keeping watch, leaning against the wall with his eyes glued to the door. "Hoping you're keeping warm. When are you off?"

You have been warned!
So let me start this by saying the ending wasn’t quite thought of until Martyn’s door. I had a couple ideas for the main villain including Israphel, Noxcrew’s Maide, and Ridgedog himself. In the end I decided Israphel was to cliché for a Yogscast story.
Maide was something I thought of because I was working on Toby and Martyn who was a part of really the never completely Noxcrew Game Show. Thing was though this idea was so obscure…I couldn’t figure out how to make it work.
Ridgedog was someone I debated with for a while. I think it was about Toby’s or Sips’s room when I decided that I didn’t want my favorite Yog to be the bad guy.
Also I should state this now I had made a list of “hells” long before I had posted the first chapter. The only two I never could figure out on my own was Hannah and Sjin.
Now then the ending…the first

No since I've gone gray.
As the world turns in colour with lights and sound, I've gone gray.
Have you noticed? I almost didn't. Not until the teachers stopped asking me for the answers to there questions, looking uncomfortable when I offered. Not until students stopped breathing around me, as if it was contagious. Not in a rude way though, more like they were actually concerned for there health.
I don't blame them, it's subconscious for them really, to stare at me without seeing eyes as they think of what I've seen. Wondering if they will too, one day. If they too, will become grey.
I don't think so, though. They seem safe, all tucked away. And so am I. Tucked away in my grey little corner, with my grey little self....
Dr. Naan said to talk, so talk I will, but maybe I'm to grey to be listened to.
