no Title Chapter Prologue part oneShe opened her eyes slowly, she tried to reach out in front of her only to feel her hand get hit by glass. She was confused, she looked around; she herself was encased in a glass cylinder. She looked down and saw some type of breathing device in her mouth. Then she noticed the bubbles, she was floating in water. She had to wonder, How did she get in this glass prison? Why was she floating in water?no Title Chapter Prologue part one11 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
She looked out, she saw people. Men and woman in white coats and clipboards. The little girl was confused, they just stared at her like she was some type of animal in the zoo. She didn't appreciate the looks they were giving her and she wanted to crawl away, but there was no where to go.
Looking out she saw other kids her age, all of them in small cages. But she herself was the only one in glass. She placed her palm lightly on the glass, and the people looked interested like this was the first time she made contact. She wasn't thinking all she wanted was out, O-U-T; OUT. She felt the water b

Stefania sat on the edge of the desk, her long right leg braced against a chair as she pulled her boot back on. She stared daggers at Daley, who sat on the floor nearby nursing a bruised jaw. He mumbled somewhat awkwardly around the injury. “Got a kick like a damned mountain hare.”
Rich Grier laughed amusedly from his position leaning against the doorframe. “Are you surprised? You’ve seen those legs.” As he spoke, his gaze remained on the place to which the hemline of Stefania’s dress had risen during the boot replacement. A couple of the other men lingered in the doorway, palpably intrigued by the goings-on. They chuckled along with their chief.
Stefania turned her daggers on Rich briefly. Last thing I need at this stage. Out cold on the floor, like a weak and helpless little girl. And the job’s still waiting to be done. Think these goons are going
Alice In The Ring"But why!?" A voice whined through the house. "Because Alice, rugby is a boy's sport, not a girl's sport." Her mother replied. "Besides, you might get hurt" She continued, this time with concern. "But mum!" Alice whined "No buts, now get ready for school, you might miss the bus." Alice groaned and stormed off up to her room and backed her bag for school. Clad in a plain blue t-shirt and long navy blue pants, Alice made her way back down the stairs with both her short, brown hair and black backpack bouncing up and down nearly in sync. "See ya, mum" Alice deadpanned. "Bye, darling" Alice's mother replied as Alice walked out the door.Alice In The Ring6 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
As Alice made her way to the bus stop, a voiced called from further down the street. "Oh, hey Alice." The voice belonged to Alice's friend, Jack, a tall boy with scruffy, dark blonde hair. "Hi Jack" Alice replied with a sigh and dropped her bag on the footpath. "Something wrong?" Jack asked with worry. Alice sighed "No, Jack, I'm fine" "Don't lie, Alice, wha

Winter, 1 TA
"Watch out below!"
The shout lifted the heads of the Elves, and they scrambled for cover as a heap of snow slid down from above, just narrowly missing a few of them.
Anárië wiped her forehead and looked up, screening her face from the pure whiteness, but she couldn’t really make out much from the top, only that the voice had sounded remarkably like Erestor. And she actually wouldn’t put it past him to be right where he shouldn’t be to begin with.
Someone touched her arm, and she turned to see Berien, standing in the relative safety of one of the archways.
"I’ve brought some warm tea; you could use it, I think."
Gratefully, her friend placed her shovel against the pillar and stepped into shelter to take the offered cup; all around her, the others of her team were doing the same.
Berien watched her with worry on her face: "You work too much, Anná."
Anárië shook her
Little AngelA few months later, just shy of Sergei’s birthday, the family welcomed their eighth child: wide eyed little Mariya.Little Angel9 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Dmitri, Tori, the twins, Yekaterina and little Nicolai crowded around their mother as she nursed the baby girl in her bed and instantly Sergei knew something about this one was special.
She didn’t cry. She didn’t fuss and her cobalt eyes already betrayed a depth in her fragile little head that spoke of a thousand year old soul.
This tiny baby awakened in Sergei the belief that there could be good in world. Her petite, infant frame radiated a purity, a forgiveness that made Sergei feel like a better person just for being in her presence.
He just prayed that this Little Angel wouldn’t come to know the hurt and terror that the rest of her brother’s and sister’s had grown accustomed.
Just by being born into their bloodline Mariya was already too good for the life that lay ahead.

Ira is strong and Gula is clever, but neither will do me much good if they're against me. Guess that only leaves...
The writer watched the orbs make one more revolution around the demon's fingers, considering his options, then plucked the yellow one from the group. It warmed in Nathan's hand and hummed, vibrating slightly. Alton smiled and nodded his head approvingly.
"Which did you choose?" he asked, the remaining two fading into nothingness.
"Rita... I mean, Avaritia." Nathan curled his fingers around the yellow orb. "I figure going with the one who's been the nicest might work to my advantage. She's the only one who hasn't tried to kill me yet."
Alton laughed. "I thought you might choose her. It also means I won't have to conjure up a replacement for her in Enya's band. I'm sure she'll be happy about that." Then, with a deep breath, he wrapped his hands over top of Nathan's. "Now, close your eyes, Karol. I'm going to send you back to where you were. I'll be mak
Redacted Pt 20: Knowledge is Power "Okay Scott! Uncle! I give up! You win!" Screaming out as he holds me upside down by my ankle. Has me in a tough spot that despite being more flexible than him, he has me locked in. His body is ready for combat as he is using one hand to grip onto me while the other clenches a meaty fist. Looking at his now forming black eye and cut lip a smile appears upon my face.Redacted Pt 20: Knowledge is Power14 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"Awwww," laughter escaping both our lips as he sets me down on my back, the cold wooden floor pretty comforting right now to my pulsating muscles. Pretty sore overall from head to toe just from the past hour that we have been sparring nonstop. If he is holding back right now I am more nervous of Supers than I was before we started our exercise.
"Plus I think I have said everything you want to know." Talked to him about jobs I have done, parts about growing up without my folks, and a couple friends from back in my military days. Funny how many things he can relate to despite him working
Woman In WhiteMichael found himself staring at things only visible within his inner mind. He was in a lucid dream; he was able to think, hear, and react as clearly as if the dream were reality.Woman In White16 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
He found himself afloat, in a serene expanse of perfectly flat water. As Michael started treading water to keep himself afloat, his dreamy, steady movements caused slight ripples in the reflective, lustrous surface of the water. Head bobbing above the surface, the tranquil, unperturbed situation Michael was dreaming about made the man feel at ease. The sky above was at dusk, shielded by puffs of cloud which extended as far as the eye could see. Subtle, gleaming rays of invisible stars illuminated the rippling waves of the pool below, gleaming beams shimmering on the water's surface. The atmosphere was hushed, not a peep emitting from the surroundings, the only sounds for miles and miles the paced breathing from Michael. There was no disruption to potentially vex Michael and steal away the peace, leaving Micha

memories 2 - abijah"What?" I froze in the cracked doorway. That one word held so much. Irritation, anger, frustration. Had I done something or was she simply in a bad mood? I flinched back and stared at my feet, hoping I hadn't caused it. She sighed and waved at me, "get in here." She still sounded less than enthusiastic but she wasn't telling me to leave... I slipped through the door, closing it behind me and leaned on it. She could read me like an open book, I knew because I sucked at masking myself and she had centuries of experience.memories 2 - abijah18 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"What's up?" The attempt at good humor, frivolity in her voice was a mild comfort. That she was trying for me helped. I took a deep breath to speak and choked on my own words.
Watching everyone downstairs, the interaction, the familiarity, the companionship it had been too much. I still haven't quite gotten over my mothers death and I wasn't very good at the social game. I tended to say the wrong things in the absolute worse way. Sitting back in the shadows in silence wa
Don't tell anyone - 3Paranoia rode hard on my shoulders, had he followed me back? Why had no one mentioned the freak living in the woods? Slowly my breathing went back to normal. There was simply no way he could have kept up. I had run in mad circles finding my way back by pure coincidence. Surely that itself would be enough to ensure relative safety. My courage returned, I picked myself up again moving into the living room and drawing the curtains tightly shut. Okay, had to be more careful next time. There was no way I wanted to run into him again. What had he said? Legends, she? Did it have something to do with that book? Crap, in my haste I had left all my shopping, my shoes, in that mad man’s house! No idea where my shopping was now, nor that book. Was it even chance I had found it? What I wouldn’t give to find out what was in that book! Then again as weird as this place was I didn’t have any doubts that I would see that book again. Hopefully it would be before anything worse happenedDon't tell anyone - 321 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
