Silentbreeze stared in horror as Shadedfang’s mutilated body was moved to a less “open” location.
Wrenflight was watching her with concern but she waved him off. She couldn’t let him realize what this really meant.
She had blood on her paws. How could this have happened?
Poppy lied to me
The she-cat needed to leave, however as she turned to go something blocked her path, pressing into her chest.
Cloverpaw stood very still, pressing his face into his mother, holding back tears.
The whole apprentice’s body shook, one of his hind legs wet.
“Cloverpaw what’s wrong?” the mother murmured, although she could already assume. The whole clan must have seen the body by now. It would be more surprising if he hadn’t seen anything.
The tom shook his head.
“Look . . go find your sister, or your father, i’m a little busy right now.” Silentbreeze held the panic from her voice as best as she could, but

The paler tom blinked apologetically and scrambled back into his feet, getting back into line as Springthorn watched his parade of Kits marching around their corner of the Nursery in a line with Honeykit at the head, he observed occasionally that his oldest son would let Littlekit or Wobblekit his sisters take the lead for a bit, but not his brothers, although they didn't ask about taking the lead either.
Springthorn was sitting up in Lostwish's nest, he'd come to watch the Kits while she headed out on the Sunhigh Hunting Patrol, she'd be back in time to feed the Kits by the time they started to get hungry though.
Although their nest was quite isolated from the others, they were close enough to his sister's nest for her to give him a smile of amusement, "Honestly Springthorn you seem to spend so much time in here anyone would think you
Big Brother Won't Eat Me Part 1It all started at the lunch table, when was Johhny talking to his friends. Of course, it was really only Natalie and him talking, which was okay because Johhny knew Natalie didn’t have cooties. How can a girl who can sometimes catch him, the fastest boy in the entire second grade, possibly have cooties?! There was just no way!Big Brother Won't Eat Me Part 123 hours ago in Short Stories More Like This
Anyway, Natalie was telling him all about her siblings and how nice and mean they could be. He wasn’t really interested in that stuff because…who cares about that stuff other than girls?! And Johnny said so too!
“Natalie! That’s s’posed to happen. Sometimes, my big brother puts my little sister under a cup and my big sister usually comes and yells at him and takes her to their room.” Sometimes that Natalie was just so silly…but this time she looked at him like he was a saying weird things. In fact, his other two friends had stopped what they were doing and looked at him too.

Ciara was surprised by his choice of location. He'd calmly strolled into a heavily mortal area during a parade. His aura, or 'soul' as some philosophers and so called 'free-thinkers' called it, was extremely bright. He was like a candle in the middle of a pitch black room. What was he planning? Was he trying to run or escape? Or did he just want to see the parade, celebrating the defeat of the Darkness. She doubted the latter, but you never know.
She stood up from her position at a local café and pursued him, deciding it was time to confront him. He stopped ahead of her, and gazed blissfully at one of the floats, a big ol' rainbow sculpture about, something. What the hell did that thing have to do with anything? She ignored it, and approached the tall, slender man. “Excuse me, sir?” She asked politely.
He looked at her with blood-red eyes. A dead give-away for some form of archaic heritage. “Yes?” He asked i

Twilight rolled the idea over in her mind. She wanted to comply, she really did, but after thinking about it, she decided that she couldn't. "I'm sorry," she said, her ears drooping as she looked down at the ground. "I just... can't."
"But, why?" Luna asked, puzzled.
"Well..." Twilight paused, looking back up, but averting her eyes, and wondering how she was going to put it. "I know I'm a princess now, and I know we're supposed to be equals, but it just doesn't feel right. You know? I mean, you're the Princess of the Night, and I feel like I'm still just a glorified librarian with a horn and wings."
Luna cocked an eye at this, but Twilight was looking back at the ground again, so she didn't notice, and continued.
"You've got purpose. You raise the moon and control the night, you rule Equestria and have fought battles along side Princess Celestia, and you're far older and wiser than I could eve

Their claws clicked against the marble tiles of the catwalk. Their head held high as they walked past the cheering crowd. Contestant number forty-three: Oakley Springs. A long running champion in Dragians Shows. Oakley’s tail was as fluffy as a cloud and as large as a medium sized dog. His pelt was the color of light brown. The violet irises pierced the souls of those that made eye contact. His owner, or handler, slithered beside them. The naga woman was sleek and beautiful, as most were. She was dressed in the most dazzling of gold and sapphire. The top looking like a bikini top with a thin, see-through material that reached her waist. The other Dragians murmured with jealousy as Oakley received high scores from the judges. The naga praised the young creature for their excellence and lead them towards the back stage.
“Lucky little prick.” A familiar face trotted up to Oakley, a warm smile

Chapter Two - Arrival
I slowly maneuvered my car down the narrow dirt trail. All around me dead and blackened trees reached up for the moon with gnarled and twisted branches. The forest was silent. Dead silent. No bird cries or animals moving through the underbrush.
This silence was almost unnatural, and it filled me with excitement.
As I made my way along the trees began to thin and my radio, previously playing a smooth jazz piece, suddenly cut out into harsh static. I flicked it off and when I looked up again I found that the forest had stopped. Ahead lay a low brick wall and a rusted metal gate and beyond that was a gravel driveway overgrown with weeds that led to the mansion.
Grabbing the backpack containing my equipment, I turned off the car and approached the gate. It wasn't locked, but it screeched as though in pain when I pushed it open. I walked up the driveway, gravel crunching underfoot, and as I did so there was a low rumble of thunder in the distance.

It’s been such a long time since I’ve been here. This old dark building. Rain beats down, sweeping away the filth around the place into the street. So many memories. I stare simply at it for a moment, raindrops bouncing off the brim of my hat, off my coated shoulders. Cautiously I make my way up to the door, stepping over a wino as I reach the first step. Fishing out an old key, I fit it into the rusted lock of the door. After a moment, where I think the key is actually stuck, I manage to turn it. The door groans open as I push it open, stepping into the building.
Looks the same. The dark musky hall, lined with doors. The stench of uncleaned bodies, of rotting wood seems to quite literally making the brown stained paint peel right off. I take to a flight of stares to my immediate right. The old wood screeches as it bends under my weight as I place my feet on them. My shoes look far too fine to be treading in such a degraded place. I wish I didn’t have them

The forest was a very old one, you can feel it by its very essence: it was very soothing yet oppressing…She hop up and down huge roots as she made her way deep into the forest, following the scent of blood that was guiding her towards her fun. An hour had passed, at least, since she entered it.
-Maybe…I should take my human appearance…just to see if it attracts him. She decided after a moment
Without a second thought she stop and closed her eyes and a few moment later gone was the purplish color and shaved headed braided hair to be replaced by the heavy mass of long brown hair she had as a human girl and the black abyss left place to strikingly teasing green iris.
-It might be more inviting indeed. She giggled
Strangely, not a few minutes later, the forest seemed even more oppressing and that made her smile. She made her way even deeper and arrived by a little rivulet passing through lazily…and felt

A few months after the incident Valdus was found overlooking the waterfall. It was a hard trek up to the top but it was worth it. He hoped the girls were close behind and occasionally looked back. They were there.*
Sena’s mane had grown out even more, it almost dragged on the ground now. Kalli had grown quite a bit too. Her mane was longer now, about to her withers. Her body was lean and lithe. Her horns had grown and so had her self confidence… slightly. She was still rather quiet and shy but she was more comfortable with her family now.*
Valdus watched as his growing foal came closer. He gave her a sweet smile. "Come here, Kalli. I want to show you the view." He grinned and stepped slightly into a smaller flow of the river leading to the waterfall.*
Kalli followed as asked. Sena wasn’t too far behind, a smile on her face looking

I stood up and slowly went downstairs. A loud argument was coming for a living room. It was getting louder and louder with every step I made.
When I finally reached the room I saw a little apocalypse. Pillows were ripped to shreds, all curtains were lying torn on a floor, walls were painted with... I don't even know what that was. And my favourite clock had its glass broken.
In the middle of the disaster were three arguing brats and one puppy. They were yelling at each other so loud they didn't even hear me gasp. They didn't notice me until I grabbed them with my tendrills. Brats looked at me with fear in their eyes. Good. I was pissed.
- Will any of you explain me - I started with an ice-cold voice - what happened in this room?
And once again they were trying to shout over each other,

Rootflare stalked a white weasel through the snow near the border. She's been tracking it for a while since it was quite a big fat one and she didn't want to scare it away. She wondered how it could make it through the harshest winters and still be fat the way it was, but then again, it had clear white fur just like its' surroundings and if it could be as sneaky as it was, it would be not trouble at all...The slender she-cat tilted her head to the side in slight jealousy for she was cold and wasn't into the harsh winter season. She wished she could sleep through it like some of the creatures in this fores 'Oh well...That ain't gonna happen anytime soon..' She frowned and stepped closer. The snow under her paw cracked and crumbled as she put weight on it, thus alerting the sleek white prey which raised its' head in her direction. Things you knew,
and things you saw.
There were people,
People you thought were close,
People who deceived you.
There were events,
Times, laughs, smiles, late nights.
There were things of the past,
Things you’ll never see again,
Things you’re better without.
People you’re better without.
But still the things you remember,
and the people you saw stay.
And when rejection strikes,
When you realize they were never in your life,
When you see those things, those smiles,
They were all fake,
Those people didn't want you,
and all those pretty little things fall apart.

Maybe it was her own lacking, but she had noticed an abundance of family at this school. Whether it was directly related siblings, or even just that close bond that family holds, she had seen it quite often. She sighed softly to herself, scribbling on the parchment before her idly, not even paying attention to the letters she was writing as she glanced about the mostly empty common room. Empty, which was also known as alone. That was something she was very often...
Marvie was busy outside in the field, playing some muggle sport with a few classmates of his. It was something called 'football' or something- apparently called soccer in another country for some reason. He was laughing and enjoying himself, but soon it was time to go for him and he j
Bedside MannersIf there is any one thing true about the universe, it is that public schools are a hive of germs and illness. It’s not a question of whether or not one will get sick from a carrier at school, but rather a question of when. And unfortunately for Hayden, he had the untimely misfortune of getting sick whilst a rather nasty flu was going around. As such, it had the quarterback stuck in bed on Friday, miserable. His throat hurt, his whole body ached, he had a nasty cough, an on and off fever, and he was seriously congested. So instead of actually having fun, he got to either sleep, or watch TV. He supposed it could be worse. At least he didn’t have to deal with Daen’s antics for a couple of hours.Bedside Manners5 hours ago in Short Stories More Like This

The young man wore his usual leather jacket, with tongues of flames embroidered on his shoulders. Always unzipped was his jacket. His jeans were scuffed, and holes were in the jeans, as if he halfway burnt them. His shoes were kept nicely. His shirt was a form of red. Only thing new that he had was some red sunglasses.
He yawned. He planned to hang out with some people today, any of his friends that he could grab, really.
Maybe Ally, or hell, he'd take even Vincent. If he wasn't such an ass....
"Hey, maybe I could hang with Marin. Haven't seen her in a while." Marshall thought. "If I could even remember where she lived.... Damn it." He swore.
"I might just have to find her myself!" He grinned, and closed his right hand, making it into a fist.
Maybe I'll stop at the cafe, since that's one of the places she showed me, Marshall thought to himsel
