Outside the car, the wind and snow whipped against the wind screen, hail pounding heavily on the car roof. Faen sat gloomily, frowning at the heavy snow descending over car.
“Sweetie, would you like something warm to drink?” Mrs Ardell asked her daughter.
“No, I just want to be free of this stuffy car,” Faen grumbled.
The whole Ardell family had just been relocated to a new town after the family had lost their only source of income , Mr Ardell had recently gone missing and the family had moved to live with their grandmother in Mistlemount Park, a small town deep in the heartlands of the Evergreen forest.
The car groaned and there was a sudden lurch and the car has being moved from where it was stuck in a ditch filled with frozen water.
Faen then caught a glimpse of brown fur through the misted window.
The car is free and they can continue their journey. Mrs. Ardell was silent for the whole trip.

Despite their best intentions, the storm kept them locked in the cave for the rest of the afternoon. As a result, the three unanimously agreed to wait it out through the evening as well. It would be difficult to continue on if they set out before the storm finally passed, as shown by the snow steadily building up against their cave all over again; but Cloud would be able to take care of that mess when the time came for them to leave again. Heike had taken charge in the face of the growing cold and made sure the other two were comfortably bundled and huddled next to their beasts while he took over the regular duties needed. These included stoking the fire, keeping an eye on the darker reaches of the cavern and making sure that the wall of snow steadily building up in the mouth of the cave wasn't about to crash into them.

(this is when I lived in Stony. I am still only 21, my hair is short, my teeth are straight, and my acne, CP, shunt, tube, and scars are all still long-gone, and Mike and I are still very good friends. Marc, Judas, Moloch, Curtis, and Dallas are all still human, but Marc has reunited with his father Satan. In this story, Thor is an archangel instead of a god)
I lay in my bed, wide awake. Countless nights of being cast into the Nightmare's dark, cold netherworld, were slowly starting to take a toll on me.
I didn't know just how much longer my sanity could resist against Marc's diabolical torture. I tossed and turned, trying to get some peaceful rest.
But each time I drifted off, the inevitable darkness would yield the unmistakeable glow of the Nightmare's blood-red sky.
I knew that, since every single one of my powers were lost forever, I could no longer do anything supernatural to help people, and since my healing power was lost, I would have only so long to live before aging and passi

I'm in the last category. A seventh generation exorcist from one of the seven original exorcist clans. It's in my blood. It's my way of life. When others were doing their abc's, I was out in the field with my grandmother, learning the ways of "our kind."
Now, make no mistake, I'm just as human as every other person. It's just that people in the clans have some sensory abilities that make them more perceptive to paranormal presences. It's probably genetic, but no one's ever bothered to actually find out.
I've been performing exorcisms by myself for the past thirteen years, during which I've seen fellow exorcists come and depart. I've had my fair share of brushes with death as well. But no matter how many close calls you have, one can never really get rid of the feeling o

"Kristian, can I have a balloon? Please, please, please?" my little sister Tiffany tugged at my arm as we walked by the carnival booths. "Tiff, for the tenth time, I don't have the money to go buy everything in sight. One day you'll understand, trust me." I told her. Distraught, I heard her mumble something under her breath.
I wasn't going to get into an argument with a 6 year old, so I let it slide. Our parents were on a vacation to Costa Rica, meaning I had to spend a week and a half babysitting my sister at the house. Luckily I had just earned my drivers license so they both agreed that I didn't need to be watched over.
We both had time to kill, and Tiffany begged that we visit the fair that was in town for the week. I told her we could go, but I wasn't going to spend money on overpriced toys or souvenirs. That must've flown right over her head, because the entire time she had been bugging me about her wanting this and that and this and that.
It had been close to an hour, and I deci
Let Go Home (WTA)Most of my species do not enjoy the company of humans. They avoid them as much as possible and stay by the lakes near where they inhabit. But... I've always been different. I've been attracted to the human race ever since I was just a pup. It happened on a very nice day. I had decided to go on a little stroll through the park, because I'd started to get more confidence in being around humans.Let Go Home (WTA)2 hours ago in Short Stories More Like This
I step carefully onto the grass, padding carefully through it, making my way through the human park. There was so many things to see! Dogs, cats, birds, trees that were taller than building, humans, squirrels... It was almost overwhelming, and I almost ran back home, but... Something kept me there. There was something calling to me. Swallowing hard, I walked through the park, children playing noisily around me. Finally, after almost an hour of pacing around, something caught my eye. It was a human, a girl I thought, sitting on a bench. She had a book in her hand, and she was... She was writing in
Death awaits(Chapter 1) All I saw was darkness and all the shadows bruise the sunlight while the moon weeps in the darkness. It was all I saw. All the time I helped anyone in need. I was never seen taken food or water etc., but the last thing I ever heard were "Death says he's a busy man, got places to go and people to see but you book an appointment and it's on its way child." Those were the last words I heard. Now I'm on my way to hell, no one can help me now. REVENGE the last word I ever thought.Death awaits(Chapter 1) 3 hours ago in Short Stories More Like This
Soon I hit the ground hard enough for me to scream in pain. I get up slowly and I have a look around. ‘Where am I?’ I look around. Then I can hear somebody's footsteps coming closer Maybe I can ask where. I am. I know I want revenge. "Hello and you might be-". "Yeah yeah can you tell me where I...am," I say cutting off the man and taking deep breaths.

Tales of Henry and Ari: Chapter 4 New thingsHenry had opted to remain in the forest for Ari's benift, he didn't need to be trying to keep the hybrid locked up in his house and being human at the same time. Besides something odd was going on with him. Normally when he ate if the creature was big enough his stomach sticked out however it would shrink back down once digested. That wasn't so anymore. HIs stomach was....honestly getting bigger though he did take note that it would shrink just a tad when something was digested. The illusion faded an thus he was back to his real appearance an torn up clothes. What started as a bulge was now a rather round looking mass. IF he sat cross legged his stomach would rest just outside of the gap where his legs met up. It was odd though he tried to ignore it despite his clothes doing little to hide it.Tales of Henry and Ari: Chapter 4 New things3 hours ago in Short Stories More Like This

"So that's how you know them... that's kinda brutal actually... A kid with such bloody hands in such a small age. What a shame." Faren sighed, sipping the tea from his cup.
"Well, to you it maybe brutality. In my point of view, it took real courage and bravery to face three men all by yourself in such a young age."
"So, what happened to the dealer?"
"The two stood trials against him, and he received a life sentence in jail. However the dealer decided to give us the information about the black market slave trades in order to reduce the sentence to 60 years. Days later, the organization was shut down."

Our elders were selfish for some reasons
Thus we grew apart with the passing seasons

Toko Anniversary EventThe blaring of an alarm clock woke Archer and he sat up almost immediately, jumping out of bed and immediately walking over to the clock and turning it off. He was scheduled to go down to the outskirts of Anchorage to a breeder to pick up a couple of pups he had claimed. While excited, he was somewhat apprehensive, as he was familiar with the challenges of raising a tokota, this would be the first time he would attempt raising two at once. The pups were siblings from the same litter, a black male and a brown female. He was impatient to head out, but he knew that he would have to wait for the plane to come in and land in town. Archer paced around his house, knowing that it would only take forty five minutes to walk to the airport, and after a few dozen glances at his watch, it was time for him to leave. He swung the front door shut and set off down his driveway at a brisk walk, noting the cool breeze on his face as he walked down the hill. Archer walked quickly over the thin dirt road iToko Anniversary Event5 hours ago in Short Stories More Like This

It most likely paled to what Wonka had actually created, the process itself most likely unorthodox and truly unique in the broadest sense. Violet chuckled at the thought of her seeing her mother subjected to some form of pressing, turning, or other form of orientation that would make the woman miserable., That would truly be the ultimate reward to salvage the day.

"Doo do doo," hummed Brodie as he washed the last dish. "And that's plate number...let's see...twelve."
With clank, he stacked the last dish on the kitchen top and made his way to the couch.
"Huh," said Brodie. "And I'm bored already."
It was summer break for this young teenager, yet he had absolutely nothing left in his schedule to keep him preoccupied for even a minute.
"I've already watched every episode of every one of my favorite shows, I beat every one of my video games at least three times, and I've even did all the chores mom asked me to do," sighed Brodie. "She told me I should go out, but all my friends all left or are too busy at summer school, and nothing really happens around here. What I'd do for some fun and company."
"Hmm," Brodie was immediately up. "Maybe one of my friends is here?"
Brodie ran towards the door and opened it. However, no one was there.
