Rosa had a radiant fiery aura that took on the shape of a Dragon before dispersing and scorching the ground. As she walked across the dirt and grass, her every foot fall scorched the earth burning it black. She exhaled lightly, orange flames rolling from her maw as she closed her eyes. She focused on using her keen sense of smell, sniffing out at least five scents. She could smell that the newbies, Nash and Vash had already left to track down Zed the Twilight, the Black Airs Baby Bird, and an enigmatic third person.

Starring: Ferran-Leon, Pax
For the first time in his life, nobleman Ferran-Leon meets a Fallen face to face, and his first instinct is to interrogate him. Politely.
Ferran-Leon sat in a soft red leather chair before the roaring hearth in the Sanctum, a lounge tucked comfortably within the relatively warm belly of the Old Tower. It was actually comfortable there, warm enough in fact that he was dressed in only black, red, and gold trimmed silks, though his new furs were draped over the neighbouring chair. One could not really go very far in the Ringward without braving the great cold outdoors, and Ferran could not help but wonder at the design. The tall nobleman let his legs sprawl out towards the fire, regarding the flames as he warmed his feet. Beside him was a table he had had the servants move to the hearth for his convenience, and upon it was a folded piece of paper. With a l

Ellie was awake in her room and heard the commotion of Wolf falling down. She bolted out into the hallway to confront her. “Wolf what’re you doing??” she asked suddenly. Isaiah could be heard getting up in the background. Since Ellie left he was cold > >
"I'm up..I'm up..." She yawned. "anyone else up yet?"
Ellie glanced back into her room where Isaiah was now putting a shirt on to come stand out in the hallway with her. She pointed to him with a grin on her face. Bouncing over to Wolf, Lerin and Ender’s room she peered inside to see if the others were awake. Lerin still seemed to be out and Ender wasn’t there. “Where’d Lav run off to?” Ell

“Arella, what happened?” Raven asked her as she reached towards her.
“No! Don’t touch me!”
Raven drew back her hand, “Alright, I won’t touch you. Just tell us what happened.”
“There was a man in here, talking to me. H-He was red and had four eyes.”
Raven’s eyes widened, “What did he say to you?”
“He said that he was my grandfather and that he was trapped. He said I needed to help free him, but then something inside me knew that it was wrong. Then all of these flashes kept appearing in my mind. Am I going crazy?”
“No, you’re not going crazy. His name is Trigon and-”

Bits of hay splintered out of her cot and poked at her skin, leaving it red and dotted.
She could see Esper from where she was, pickaxe limp in her hand, face against the wall in a corner.
She was eating something, she could tell. But if she had something, she would have shared.
She furrowed her brows and sat forward on her knees, crawling towards the cell door.
She rattled her steel cuff against a bar to a familiar tune to reach Esper’s attention.
Sure enough, Esper turned around, her adam’s apple rising and falling just as she saw Thais.
Thais waved her closer and Esper nodded towards their overseer, currently stuffing his face with a ketchup-covered corn.
Later, she would ask.
And later, she did.
“What were you eating today?” Thais said, eyeing her accusingly.
“What? Nothing,” Esper said, patting down her own cot and pushing the bits of straw back in through the holes they had torn in th

All of the members of the Old Loyalty, as they'd now been dubbed, went into the mansion, trying to console my Dad, to get him to forgive himself. Even though Striker had arrived, I still hadn't gotten to actually meet him. By the time I'd seen him arrive earlier, everyone was already listening to Dad.
I walked over to Striker, but quickly picked up on a feeling of irritation coming from him; he didn't want to be here. "Cousin," he greeted without much enthusiasm.
Jura merely walked over and slapped him in the back of the head. "You haven't seen him for fourteen years, and this is how you greet him?! And where the hell were you all this time?!" I took a step back, guessing she got her temper from her dad.
"Doing what, may I ask?"
"Hanging out at nightclubs." That response earned him a throat chop. Holding his throat, he croaked, "Good *cough* to see you too..."
"You're related to Aura?" I asked, wondering how the hell Striker was even related by blood.

“Say Thea,” She began. “We’ve been spending a lot of time around Tybolt, Gavin and Rowan lately. What do you think about them.”
“What’s to say about them?” Thea replied. “Tybolt’s still as much as a delinquent as ever and Gavin needs to grow more of a spine. And Rowan...” She paused in thought for a few seconds before continuing. “Actually, Rowan has been pretty impressive. I always thought he was just average, but he really proved himself
Chapter 2, Full The leaf skittered across the floor, making barely a sound. The gentle breeze that carried it brushed across Blizzard’s scales, but he payed the slight draft no attention. Blizzard shifted on his haunches, his gaze locked on the leaf. Suddenly, he shot from his crouched position, sailing through the air and landed claws first on his target. Blizzard rolled, effortlessly, flicking the leaf high into the air above him. His back hit the ground and his wings shot out, creating a slight updraft and sending the leaf spinning into the air. It twirled and danced, slowly making it’s way downwards towards the young dragon.
The soft torch light from the hallway dimmed for a moment, briefly casting the den into shadow. Blizzard’s head snapped to the entrance, scanning for any sign of movement. The

"They told me I would see light once it happened. They also said that I would know where to go and how to do it. I don't know where they get these ridiculous ideas....who ever comes up with them that is. But one thing I know for sure is that I didn't anticipate this feeling at all. This feeling... as if I'm splitting into millions of tiny pieces and I'm not sure which one is the real me."
It was a regular Tuesday afternoon for the Old Corner Shop on East Chrysanthemum Road. Workers were bustling to and fro as orders continued to pile up on the old front desk. Hundreds of scraps of parchment paper roughly the same size as index cards began to accumulate in such great numbers that one could even begin to make out distinguishable mountain ranges from their mass abundance. Each scrap of parchment bore an ornate style of handwriting that coiled and curled with every letter and burned a brilliant crimson red. The pile conti

The Problem with False (24)The Badgerman had come to call on them as they were congregated in the lounging area at the tail end of that week, preparing to meet Pam at the train station. She had gotten herself a ticket, as she had planned, and supposedly done enough research to have an idea of where to go. It had been a week with no sight of or questioning from the Badgerman and he came as company again, without his pad or pen. As he appeared alongside Importune, False groaned and cursed his bad timing, because he very much wanted to share coffee, but both he and Judith had been bullied into viewing Pam’s departure. And what was there to view, he thought? He shouldn’t be amused, not in the slightest. The Problem with False (24)8 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters

I wake up with a burden as I’m reminded today we’re supposed to do the training course. Either we’ll become official students and embark on the path to becoming true warriors, or we’ll get kicked out, and… I don’t know what after that. I really, really hope I have it in me. I guess today I’m going to find out… ugh…
I’m so nervous I have no appetite. At the dining hall I hardly have much for breakfast, despite Haye warning me I need the energy. As soon as the training area opens up for the day I make a bee line there.
As soon as I get into the training area I am greeted by Draco from yesterday. “Good morning, Shadoblayd.” He welcomes me once he locates me.
“Just call me Lithe.” I ask as I avoid eye contact with him. “And, could I please train with somebody more on my level?”
“Ah, good morning to you, Robin. And Shadoblayd, it’s nice to me
Changeling Fantasy Ch. 1: Know Your PlaceYou are Alvild Anders, and you did not belong. Oh, not in the "Oooh, I’m such a tortured teenager, nobody understands me," sense. You literally did not belong in the world known as Midgard. You are a changeling, a fairy child left in place of a kidnapped human, and the cold, mountainous, superstitious country of Bergskedja was not a kind place to raise someone like you.Changeling Fantasy Ch. 1: Know Your Place8 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters
That isn’t to say that Hans and Kerstin Anders were anything but good parents to you, since they didn’t see any reason to take their grief out on the abandoned infant who wailed in her new mother’s arms and would not be quieted. If anything, their hearts broke for the unwanted babe as much as they did for their own taken son. However, their neighbors were not as forgiving.
One thing must be kept in mind above all else when considering the fairies of Alfheimr, the rulers of the Other Folk. A fairy is not a sylph, a winged elemental spirit of alchemical air, nor is it a pixy, a firefly-like

While everyone else was making ready to leave, Dad, Mom, and I went to work to learn my abilities in the training room just in case I needed them. "First, we're going to work on what I have. You already know half of it, although the more extensive form utilizing meditation. Really, you can just look around a room, let your aura flow, and see what happened in that room a few hours earlier. Right now, you're gonna learn the other half: anticipation. The idea is that you can see something about to happen. Really useful in a fight. Also pretty good for when you play poker. Unfortunately for you, the only way to activate an ability is extreme emotion. Sorry about this."
"About wha--" Before I even finished speaking, something whizzed by, embedding in the wall behind me. I looked back to see a glowing throwing knife. "Oh." I looked back. "Those won't kill me, will they?"
"Nah, but it'll still hurt like a bitch." He threw another that I barely dodged. "Try to catch one."

Pepper bounded in and out of sight, ears sticking out of the snow and then disappearing under again, as though diving through the water.
“Keep an eye on her if she goes too far,” Esper said.

Ellie went about bouncing around the room picking out what swimsuit to wear. She picked one out for Ender to wear as well cuz she knew she’d probably need one later.
Alwin grinned, staying clear from the window. It had a great view of the area they were once at and she still had nightmares of that. She hoped Hikaru hadn't picked up on that on the couple nights she fell asleep with him.
Ellie got dressed on the other side of the room. She was now sporting a light blue bikini that had strawberries on the one chest piece. It was her favourite. She had a red bikini picked out for Ender and was toying with it in her hands as she waited for Al to get ready.
When most thought that Lerin and Ender were catching up on sleep, in face wasn't as innocent as it sounded. It was then that Ellie and Alwin

It shows in their actions, in the way they look upon the beggars with a heaviness to their gaze because they have nothing to give.
Sometimes their kindness hinders us as a whole, like picking up a stray dog, naming her Pepper and making her part of the family.
We had to pick food out of dumpsters for weeks not just for ourselves now, but for her as well.
I once had to wrestle Esper for a coin she was trying to give away, but it was either another dollar in a stranger’s jar or food for all of us - and I have always been one to choose us, and continue to feel guilty about it.
But Esper never does anything she will later regret, not when it comes to kindness and generosity.
