Sand quickly exited the den before Heather even had a chance to reply back to him. He didn't want to get held back on helping with herb sorting. There was two of us before and now there's still two there. That's all that's needed. Sand was relieved to see Lightning when he had came to get his lessons. If he hadn't shown up, Sand might have still been in the tree sorting through rotten herbs. As much as he loved helping his aunt, that was one of the boring jobs.
He slowed his pace, thinking to himself and feeling nervous every step closer that he took towards Cobalt's. I can't hold back any longer, I need to tell her.
The huge tabby padded over to where Cobalt had lived. As he entered it, he glanced around. Cobalt wasn't around, but he spotted Skunk and Rain. Lightning had said Rain was helping Skunk with something, but since the two were just relaxing and talking, Sand figured it was done. <

A RDNA-verse Tale from Two Nations' Eyes
(Chapter 9: Dual Crowns, Dual Hearts)
Vicinity of Neu Wien, Royal Dominion of New Austria. 17 May 1949.
Loyalist Canada kept quiet as he made his way up the main stairway alongside his host. What made him concerned however wasn't so much the seeming absence of guards or the generations of Habsburg history gazing down from the Residence's walls and winding hallways. Nor was it any fear that New Austria would suddenly lunge and kill him on the spot. I know her better than that. I think. Still, he tried shaking his head off those notions and instead focused on the young woman beside him. In her tailored uniform, she walked with both the grace of a noblewoman and the sharp firmness befitting a military officer. But the blue eyes glancing at him seemed like a wild river just crying for release. Just...remain calm.
"There's no need to keep up formalities," she sighed in English with a soft smile as they
A Little More Trust Cpt. 63Adrian's sleep for most of the night was deep. The sedative effects of the drug pumped into him locked him into slumber all night, much more than the night before. But, towards the morning, he became fitful and restless as terrifying images played across his mind. It was like his brain, finally free of the chemical shackles, was flooding with all of the anxiety and horror he would have felt if it hadn't been artificially stifled. It wasn't therapeutic to repress all of that- it just meant that he bolted upright, drenched in cold sweat and shivering like crazy. Seeing that he was still in a doll's bed of all things, Adrian lay his head back down weakly and teared up. No. No. I'm still here. Never going to leave.A Little More Trust Cpt. 634 days ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Amy woke up to the sun blaring at her from all different directions. She felt a heavy blanket on top of her. She groaned groggily feeling half-crushed by it. She tried to get up and push the blanket off by flailing around but it was fruitless.
Strong gusts of wind rustled her hair and she couldnt un pin her arms to get the stray hairs to stop tickling her nose. Finally, she decided to open her eyes to assess this evil blanket, but she realised she was mistaken. It was in fact not a blanket, but a sleeping Andrew's hand.
She froze. 'We slept here all night?' She asked herself. 'Mum will be so pissed' she began to sweat, hoping her parents didnt call the cops to file a missing person's report.
She herd her phone receive a text. She twisted her head to see her phone about 2 meters from her head.
"I want out" she huffed and began to wriggle around enough so that his hand lifted a little and she ever so slowly shuffled out.
Once out, she was on her hands and knees. She looked ove

“Draconis genus of course. Serpentis Minor subspecies, isn’t he?” Bart said.
“Of course,” David replied, not knowing what Bart was talking about. Minor sounded rather condescending, he thought. And quite untrue as well. There was nothing minor about the problem the dragon posed in his quiet life.
“Yes, good thing too. Imagine it would have been a Serpentis Magnus. That’s Latin, you know, it means …”
“The Great. I know. I had Latin in high school. Magnus is one the five words I remember.”
“Oh good. But even the Magnus is no match compared to the Paravaranus Ignidae.”
“What’s the difference between the three?” David asked, putting down his mug with chocolate milk and going to his k

Chapter: 20 Lucky Shots
Two assassins brandished Zi's confiscated weaponry. "I mean...it's a pretty nice bow. Honed, steel edges. Banded grip. Strong string. I think I'll keep it."
"And get a look at this sword," said the other while holding Zi's scimitar. "Kind of off balance if you ask me."
"That's because you're holding it wrong," corrected Zi. "It's a two-handed weapon. You need to have a tense grip on it while balancing your legs to support each strike."
"Oh, of course." The assassin fixed his posture. "Thank you." He did a double-take when he saw Tomas and Zi standing in the doorway. All he could say was "Holy-" before Zi roundhouse kicked him so hard, she snapped his neck. She picked up her scimitar and pointed it at the second assassin.
The foe just about wet himself. He dropped Zi's bow and cower

House Evergreen asked his father for a favor. And Jacob knew that his father would never turn down a chance to gain a favor. Besides, Gernath Gris had almost everyone owing him a favor.
And so the punishment of his blotched Blanc mission began with a single step. A step into Castle Heart’s courtyard.
The courtyard was well kept, Jacob noticed as he slowly approached the faded gray castle. The last time he was here, Francis had made a big deal about it. He even tried to create a “shortcut” to the place.
But he neglected the fountain last time. Which was too elegant in his opinion. The sculpture of the Princess being defended by sculptures of her Knights from all sides was way too much.
He stopped for a second and marveled how

Something is after me and I must run for my life. Going through the eerie forest, my heart is pounding like a drummer drumming his drums to the maximum beat. Suddenly, one of the monsters that is stalking me appears and it pounced at me. Avoiding it, I tumble from the cliff into the ravine rolling down the hill like a barrel.
The roll lasted for a while, eventually landing me into an entrance of a cave. Looking for a place to hide, I force myself to ignore the aching pain of my body and walked into the cave. After walking for a few distance I soon stumble upon an abandon shrine.
Thought it is old, I could feel something is calling me to go to it. Like something in the shrine itself, was waiting for me all this while. I moved slowly towards the building in the cave, but as I am almost reaching the shrine. Suddenly, there is a strong force attacked me.
It was the monster that is chasing me earlier, and I have suffered several wounds from its claws. Putting itself in an attack stance, it

Meraell paused and inhaled deeply after cresting the hill and looked out at the long road ahead. The people around him kept moving forward, some of them giving him odd passing glances as he stood silently where he was, observing the world that lay before him. Far ahead, Bard led the people of Esgaroth with an uncertain yet determined hope and far in the distance, Meraell's keen eyes could see the eerie figure of the ruined city that was their destination.
They had been on the road for about a week. It was taking a long time to reach the city of Dale since there were so many people and some of them were sick and injured. Some people complained about it (mainly Alfrid) but Meraell never did since he understood why they needed to go slower. In fact, Meraell never complained about anything. Well,

"I can't shake the fear that dad's hiding something up his sleeve." Luna replied as she drank a portion of tea.
Celestia looked to Luna as she did the same with her own mug of tea, however, pouring a mix of red and black tea, something of her own liking. As Luna took a sip, she replied her words:
"Well, with all the mischief we caused on the castle, I'm not surprised he'd put some platoon of guards on us or something like that..." Celestia smirked as she sipped on her tea.
"Kinda like when we said a Timberwolf pack was heading to that new city in development just to cause some disarray?" Luna chuckled in a bit of glee.
"Yeah." Replied Celestia with a smile. "Or when we changed the hot water to cold on the soldier showers." Celestia

He trudged through the forest with his extra weight. It had been a long time since he wore armor, and there was a certain art to it that he’d forgotten. His steel clad feet sank deep into the soft soil of the forest, leaving tracks not unlike his son’s. The visor was lifted, so his vision was broad. The wind continued to whip around him, but now it was joined by the sound of swaying, creaking trees. He was warding off the tiredness of his extra weight, but none patted his back for it. The forest was empty, and he walked alone.
The smell of salt was stronger than ever in Drath as was the dead fish. His steps were heavy and hard on the dry ground of the town. Somewhere in the second floor of a house nearby, a little boy was balling about losing his last tooth. The citizens regarde

In his dream, Kaito was restlessly wandering the hallways of a great palace. He walked quickly, running his fingers along the delicate mosaics decorating the walls. It was a familiar sensation.
He knew this place and its treasures well, or at least felt like he should know them: the blue stones from the northern mines, the gold offered by the rich coastal towns, the elaborate tapestries…Even the sounds of his footsteps seemed like an echo well-worn by repetition.
Where was everyone? The palace seemed desolate. He felt the void encroaching on him.
Kaito was looking for someone. He felt angered and offended, but more than anything, he felt afraid. Afraid that he wouldn’t keep his promise. No one had ever dared to say no to him, not even that man. But now he was gone, and the great palace seemed dull and meaningless in his absence.
No, he had to be somewhere around here. He wouldn’t dare defy Kaito.
As soon as that thought came about, Kaito felt a tinge

It didn’t take much to get the 23-year-old jungle girl into one, and today was no exception. It was plain as day just by the way she walked through the thick brush, while half-naked, lifting her legs up high and humming “Zip-a-Dee-Do-Dah” to herself. Usually, she was in a good mood just because she happened to be living the jungle girl life on Greystoke Island. But, she had another reason.
The day itself certainly helped her good mood. It was nice, sunny, low-humidity, and somewhere in 80-degree range, a day that erased any regrets about giving up on her life back in California in exchange for living as a jungle, basically like some old pulp novel heroine. Then again, like the old saying went, don’t knock it ‘till you’ve tried it.
The early-mid-morning sun was beating down on the lush green, providing excellent photosynthesis food for every single plant on the island, which itself is pretty big, approximately the same
ShipwreakedNathanial awoke greeted to fading sunlight. The soft tranquility as low tide broke against the shore. He recognized he was splayed out on a beach with sand over every inch of his body. His eyes stung from the salt. He sat up and to take care of at least a bit of the sand that cascaded off his back like a waterfall. He would have to wait forever for it all to leave, and even then there would still be some. He resolved to ignore it for now instead of try to remove it in vain. He tried to wipe as much sand as he could off his hand, though some stuck to him stubbornly, so he could wipe his eyes. With the burning salt sated, he glanced out over the picturesque sea as smooth as a quilt. Did his eyes betray him or did he see a shape just above the water? Did his ears deceive or did a sweet voice call out the name that only his mother and close friends called him, Nate.Shipwreaked4 days ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

And if we were to be found. We were to be caught and given to the 'Caretakers'. A position that was given out by the new leader. Most of the people didn't believe this madman in the beginning. But he gave out more convincing reasons as to why we should be caught and brought to him.
That's why we went into hiding. The humans of 1826 were paranoid people. The people of Sidra then slowly began to believe that we were bad. That we could do bad things, that we had powers. Which is ridiculous of course. We don't have powers. If we ever had magic, it faded from our people long ago.
