No world is perfect. Not even a world where giants and humans coexist. There’s still bullying, belittling, bankruptcy, business frauds, lying, cheating, stealing, killing; everything that I imagine a sin-ridden world would have. We’re lucky though, because here on Tare, our blemished, beautiful planet, there are laws that punish those who do wrong. We’re fortunate, because for every criminal, there are at least three law enforcers. We’re blessed, because it’s not often that we humans are terribly endangered by the giants that surround us. In fact, we’re more of a plague to them than they are to us.
Let me explain myself.
My name is Ellie Parker, and I am a descendant of one of the one thousand humans who were sent to live on this planet after earth was so brimming with war and hatred that no one could live in safety. Of course, that was almost four hundred years ago. While we do have the knowledge of space travel at hand, our civilization is on

Music: If you know what you’re doing, it’s a wonderful, relaxing outlet. You can learn how to express your feelings through music, move thousands of people at once, serenade a pretty girl, challenge an opposing band – the possibilities are endless.
“Who wrote this? Shakespeare?”
Evric laughed the comment off, but behind the mask he was embarrassed. He didn’t consider himself a great writer, but he’d spent a lot of time working on the flyers for the afterschool club that he and his best friend David were in charge of.
“Yeah. You’ll never guess how long it took to summon him across time and space to write that for me,” he flashed a grin at his younger cousin, Janie.
She tossed a red strand of hair behind her shoulder, giggling as she looked at the senior guy sitting across the table. She knew that he loved anything artistic, whether it be writing, music, acting, painting – the whole package.

It wasn’t until the bell of a massive glass door rang out that Ellie snapped out of her thoughts. She grew very aware of the skin of a stranger pressing against her own sleeveless arms, so she teetered forward, hoping to get away from it as much as possible. Then again, she was sitting in someone’s hand. He was touching her, whether either of them liked it or not. Taking a deep breath, Ellie ignored her thundering heart and raised her voice.
“Could you maybe...like...put me down?” Shaking violently, the girl managed to balance herself on her knees, grabbing for the giant thumb that hung near her like the bar that fastens one in to a roller coaster car. The first thing she noticed as her air-condition-chilled arms wrapped around the appendage was how very warm it was. Curious, her fingers began to explore the small area they spanned across, feeling the lines and curves and smooth and rough grooves of a colossal fingerprint.
Evric was certainly aware of the

Daniel's mother Martha knocked on her sons door again before opening it.
"Daniel?" She asked.
Her twelve year old son coughed hardly before answering his mother.
"Yeah mom?" He replied.
"You feeling any better hun?" His mother said walking over her son’s bedside.
Daniel coughed again. "Not really,"
Daniel's mother smiled warmly.
"Well guess you’re not going to be able to make it to school today huh?"
Daniel softly coughed again. “Not really,”
Martha stroked her son's head. “Okay honey, well I have to go on to work. Your sister should be home in a few hours so sit tight and stay in bed okay?”
Daniel smiled nodding. “Okay mom.”
Martha kissed her son on the forehead then left the room. Daniel waited and waited. He waited for the jingle of his mother’s key, for the slam of their homes front door, and the start of his mother’s car. Daniel jumped out of bed and darted toward the window.
He watched his mother’s gray car

Evric had zipped his jacket almost all the way up, leaving a small gap so that he could hold Ellie against his chest, the flaps of the jacket and his hand covering her from the drenching rain.
Ellie’s heart was pounding in rhythm with Evric’s gargantuan footsteps, yet she felt safe and warm in his grasp for once. Yes, the wind was still tossing her reddish-brown hair into her face, but every other part of her was covered.
Tired of having to squint, Ellie faced the wall of warm blue shirt fabric. She let her knuckles go white as they grabbed at it, and then she burrowed hard against what she briefly forgot was Evric. That was, until she felt his larger-than-life heart softly pummeling against her, shaking her to the core but also calming her.
His fingers curled firmly but tenderly around her, allowing her to relax without the worry that she might fall. She was comfortably curled up, leaning against the taren’s warm body, but at the same time she was anxious.

Last week was a good week. My mom and I went to the market to buy a few things and it was over all a fun trip. I liked it. Who wouldn't, though? Sifting through random stuff that doesn't belong to you, silently judging others based on what they bought and are undoubtably going to throw away later. It's great, really.
But this week... Mom was too happy, too excited. Hell, she was always excited, but this morning she flew into my room, not literally, at least, but she pulled me out of bed with the biggest smile on her face. I thought we had won a million dollars or something. Ooooh how I wish it had been a million dollars. Maybe just a hundred...not sure why she'd be excited about a hundred, but hey.
"Get dressed, pack a bag," she yelled, releasing me to pull out a floral backpack and an ugly black suitcase from the depths of my closet. I barely had time to wet my lips, readying myself to ask a questio

"Ok Mikey.......try standing up."
They all held their breath, watching as Mikey moved, swinging his legs over the bed before bending them before moving to stand. The youngest turtle groaned, hissing slightly as he put pressure on his injured leg before looking up at all of them. After several moments of silence Donnie spoke. "How.......how does it feel?"
Mikey took a few slow steps, smiling weakly as he did so. "It’s.........ok. Still stings......but.........its ok."
Leatherhead felt Mikey's family all breathe a sigh of relief at his words. After several moments Mikey looked to Donnie, his face a little curious. "Donnie......where did you get this from?"
Leatherhead watched as Donnie shifted slightly uncomfortably. Of course leatherhead

Princess Anna followed the peculiar sounds down the stairs. "Hello?", she wondered. "Olaf? Sven?" She lit a candle as a figure was illuminated in front of her. The princess gasped before dropping her candle, sending it crashing to the ground.
"This way!", urged the Arendelle captain as his soldiers joined in. "The sound came from over here!" The men's boots stomped across the hall as one of the doors swung open. They watched as Vita barged through, holding Princess Anna hostage with a flintlock pistol. The soldiers drew their swords and stood ready.
"Back up!", barked Vita as she twisted the gun's nozzle against the side of Anna's head. "Now!" Anna winced at the pressure. "I'll shoot her. You know I will! Back! NOW!"
The men looked at each other, slowly backing up as Vita made her way down the adjacent hall. "Elsa!", hopelessly cried Anna. She then elbowed her attacker in the chest and threw a punch.

Trying to avoid a crowd in Glenmore was like trying to avoid a swarm of biting midges. They buzzed around, all talking at once, getting up his nose and giving him a headache. Herbalists were the worst of the lot, arguing about the best salve for the job. Drustan would much rather have some peace and quiet; slamming his antlers at full speed into another stag’s tended to leave him with a splitting headache. The fresh gouge across the front of his chest and shoulder stung, but it would hardly kill him. Fighting Lord Rafe in front of the entire herd had not been one of his more intelligent actions as King, but he could admit now that the testosterone and adrenaline was fading that he hadn’t exactly been using his brain.
Spotting his salvation in the form of a nervous princess doe, Drustan wrangled his way through the concerned mob and stood beside her. “Thank you, all, for your concern, however your services will not be required.” He addressed the cr

Zak sat down against a tree, biting into a piece of raw meat, even as blood stained his claws, but he really didn’t care, since he was hungry. It was early morning, which was the best time to hunt for himself. Throughout the rest of the day, he would focus on Ebony.
It was also the best time for him to think. After all that he had been through, after he had traveled for so long, it was nice to just sit back, relax, and enjoy a good meal. No longer he would have to worry about feeling he was being hunted as he was out there in the Wilderness.
I’m glad Ebs is safe now… he looked toward the silent cabin, situated between two dark oak trees and built up against a stone wall. More trees rose above it, obscuring it from sight, except from the sky. The young Ender hybrid was still sleeping, She can be happy…
He smiled softly. It was all he ever wanted for her and he had succeeded in his task.
Damien's Time - Visit by Michael It had not been long since Jehovah had left the Earth, when Lucifer received yet another visit from one who had turned against him. This visit was even more unexpected than the one from Jehovah had been. There had been just enough time for everything to start and calm down from the previous visit. Lucifer had taken Lilith to his home, or what was now to be their home, when the new visitor walked in the door completely unannounced. Lucifer stopped and gasped as the the visitor entered. Lilith did not know who this visitor was, but took her cue from the reaction of Lucifer, and was immediately on guard herself. It was Michael, the one who had betrayed Lucifer and cost him the battle for the Earth.Damien's Time - Visit by Michael1 day ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

I got out of bed and got dressed. A lazy wife-beater, baggy pants, sandals, my life's gone down the drain since then. I stepped out of my room with all my things in a bag over my shoulder and walked to the inn's lobby.

You wake up to Mark shaking your should violently, you grab his arm and flip Mark over on his back.
"Woaahh!" He yelled, "I'm awake!" You snapped, you let him up and rubbed your hand across the back of your neck.
"Neck stiff?" Dark asked flatly, "My whole body is stiff." You replied, "Well get up, your breakfast is getting cold." He stated.
You sat by the fire and ate, you had so many questions running through your mind, who Daigon was, what did he want with Dark, and why did he retreat? Dark isn't one to retreat, unless the battle would be completely hopeless, he would never retreat.
"Who was that guy anyway?" You asked, Dark looked up from his meal, "What guy?" He asked, "The big guy." You stated, "Oh, Daigon?" He asked.
"Yeah, who was he?" You asked, "Just somebody from my realm is all." He stated flatly, you narrowed your eyes, you decided to give up on asking because at this point you figured he was never going to give you a straight answer,

You, Mark, and Dark were all led onto the island of Chincoteague, you walked on and on until you saw the ruins of an old ship.
"On your knees." Eirena barked, you all went down on your knees, "So you just took us out here to put us down like wild dogs?" Dark snapped.
His remark ended up with him getting hit in the back of the head with Eirena's pistol, he hissed in pain and growled, "Another smart remark like that and you'll end up with a shot in your head." Eirena snapped.
She shouted something in what sounded like Jamaican, but you weren't one-hundred percent sure, and six guys walk out from the ship ruins.
"You see, we've been waiting for you three for awhile." Eirena stated, "Why?" Mark asked, "Because someone with an inner demon is worth quite a bit." She stated.
You looked back at the men walking towards you, you felt your heart drop, there was a man who was easily seven feet tall, his shoulders looked as if they were made of the broadside of a barn.
