"Wow, my hands are smooth," Hilary said.
"Mine tickle," Harry said.
"Maybe you should shave those sideburns of yours," Hilary suggested.
"Regina says she likes them" Harry said.
"I understand. But do they have to be this hairy?"
"She says the hairier, the better."
Hilary giggled. "Well, some women do like their men hairy."
"What about you and Barry?"
"Oh, he's always wondering what shampoo I use to make my skin smooth. I always tell him that it's natural."
"Well, we Dullas come from a lineage of people with smooth skin."
The two, still carrying their heads, walk towards a bookshelf of Shakespearean literature.

Jason and Rory were both fully awake. Jason was outside of the house, heading back into the woods, leaving Rory and Cora to themselves.
“What feels wrong?” Cora questioned, leaning over to him. Rory smiled at her, blushing.
“It feels like something inside of me is different. I just can’t explain it,” he explained, looking down.
Cora leaned over, putting her hand on his chest. “You sure that’s not just the feeling of love?”
Rory reached around the girl, caressing her neck. “Of course not. I felt that feeling yesterday. I know when I’m in love.”
Cora leaned closer to his face. “Well, are you in love?” she spoke slowly, licking the words out alluringly. Rory leaned closer still. “I think I might just be,” he whispered as he leaned into her ear.
“Rory!” the two broke from their revealing position quickly, faces red, as Jason returned to the house.

And that day I died.
It was July 4th, American Independence day.
For a long time, it was the only thing I remembered about myself besides some idea of what I used to look like. Before I remembered my name, even. Before I remembered my brother. Before I remembered my purpose.
My name is... it was Liam.
My name is Miali.
I went to Hell.
* * *
I want to say that dying was terrifying. Or maybe it was a really intense experience. Or that I felt intense fear or excitement of any kind.
... no, I didn't. That was the worst part.
I remember spinning lights as I was rushed to the hospital. Everything swam. I was on a bed. Everything went dark and I could feel this pressing darkness. It was thick and it pushed the air out of me. The warmth too. It wasn't coldness but like the warmth was being taken from me with nothing to replace it. I wanted to say it felt like I was getting numb but even "numb" is kind of a feeling. This wasn't even numb. It was nothing. I guess "peaceful" is how I felt, but "p

We walk into the house, arm in arm, just like Wyn said. I held my head up high, even swaying my hips a little. Once past the living room,we pass the kitchen. It's a relatively big kitchen, with a three door fridge, an island in the center, and a dining table across from it. It's stove and oven are a decent size. For the most part, the kitchen seems untouched. Aleks has bottles of sodas, cheese platters and pizza spread over the counter, no doubt for lunch. Giving my attention to the backyard, I see it's pretty spacious. The pool is HUGE! It's a 3ft - 14ft pool with a jacuzzi at the other end. My eyes widen, it's beautiful. Blue ceramic tiles cover the edge of the pool as well as the bottom.
'Wow.' I think aloud.
"That's what I was thinking..." Wyn draws out. "This is awesome dude! When did you guys do this?!" He asks Aleks.
He swims to the edge, lifting his arms out, "Umm, we started remodeling about two years ago.Its nice but I think it's too big."
He looks past Wyn

~It's freezing cold. It's also pitch black. I feel an unbearable pain in my ankle. Looking down , I see it chained to a weight and I realize I'm currently at the bottom of the ocean. Moving my arms slowly back and forth, I feel the freezing water move against my skin effortlessly. Looking around I see others chained to the bottom of the ocean next to me. Their skin wrinkled and pale. They look like they've been here awhile. My lungs burn fiercely. I can't breathe. Beginning to panic,I look around frantically for a way out. Suddenly something whooshes past me, causing me to be pushed down further into the floor. I look around now for fear of my life. Out of the corner of my eye, I see a large shadow floating perfectly still in one spot. It's fins are long and wrinkled with occasional gashes in it's side. Soon I come to the realization that it's a shark. As soon as I made eye contact with it's blood shot eyes it charged at me. It's mouth wide open. The bubbles of m
The Big Day - chapter 4“Whoooh, partyyyy,” Nyx yelled excitedly as she picked out a random guest, which happened to be a gorgon that wore special protective glasses so as not to accidentally petrify people with her gaze, to dance with. The dance-floor was pretty crowded already with a bunch of other guests all dancing excitedly. The kitsune danced a special kind of dance that almost looked like some kind of martial arts dance while a buff-looking wolfman had picked out a small fairy to dance with. Even little Heather was let out of her cage and she immediately made a beeline for Lilith’s shoulder to dance on. Rachael and Livia though weren’t dancing. The Big Day - chapter 3The rest of the day went relatively smoothly for both women. At least, as smoothly as a wedding-day could go. Nyx had left the ice castle again in order to get dressed properly herself and while Livia and Diana had to prepare the great hall in the ice castle as best as possible, Rachael and Gina carefully decided on the eventual dress that she would be wearing. It took them all a lot of work, yet after their earlier going-ons that morning, they were all much more motivated now to keep going. The Big Day - chapter 37 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
“Hmm… we’ll need 5 more chairs here Diana, I’ll meanwhile make the organ here,” Livia said before getting to work. Almost everything here was made of the same unmelting ice as the castle itself was made of. Livia had been teaching both of her daughters the techniques to making it and Diana had picked it up rather quickly and in no-time did she create the five extra chairs.
“Done!” she said excitedly and looked over the rest of the room. It all
The Big Day - chapter 2Livia and Diana had started eating their breakfast and neither of them really said anything. It was strange, having their breakfast like this without Gina and Rachael to accompany them and the empty chairs felt like a bigger open spaces than they actually were. Diana didn’t really know what to do. Her mother looked all calm and collected, but she had learned to read the emotions right off her face and it was pretty obvious to her that Livia was incredibly nervous. After a few minutes, she finally spoke up.The Big Day - chapter 27 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Livia put on a smile. “Sure am,” she said hesitantly but her dress was only one of her many worries.

Nearly a month had passed since Cobalt's kittens had met with Heather and Sand. The two sets of kittens all became close friends. Rain and Heather were almost inseparable, getting along very well. Sand tried getting to know Lightning, but the two toms were complete opposites. Sand eventually stopped trying so hard and decided he'd just go and spend time with his sister and Rain.
It was midafternoon. Sand and Heather's father, Mud, a massive and powerful tom cat had told his mate and children that he would be back with some prey. The brown tabby hadn't returned even though it's been hours since he left in the morning. His two kittens were playing a game with one another, while their mother was by herself, watching her kittens and grumbling to herself.
"Why isn't he back yet? That stupid tom, he's worthless." She grunted, "How hard is it to catch prey?"
Her ginger kitten looked up, "I'm sure
The Big Day - chapter 1It was a quiet morning at the ice castle on the beach. There was the rustling of waves outside and the fresh sea breeze of course, but there was nothing that seemed to suggest that there was anything major about to happen that day. That is, until the young fairy Diana Winston woke up from her slumber. She stretched her arms and rubbed the sleep from her eyes before hopping out of bed in order to also give her legs and wings a good stretch. She walked up to the mirror in her room and looked at herself. She was a pretty young fae alright. She had blonde hair like her mother Rachael yet also she had blue streaks in her hair and it was straight like her other mother Livia. Her eyes were the same colour light blue and her wings shimmered in the sunlight creeping into her room from the window as if made of ice. She wasn’t especially big compared to other normal people, but she did almost rival Rachael in height. Also, much like her fairy mother, she emitted a constant yellow-ish dim liThe Big Day - chapter 18 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Maegen was still asleep as I awoke. We were both exhausted as evident as us being able to sleep despite the stench of my clothing that has been soaked in the blood of the Hrimthursar. I am glad I learned to be such a light sleeper or else I would not have been awoken until it was likely too late. There is a disturbing noise coming from deeper within the cave.
I rise up from my sleeping position and grasp Maegen’s arm to wake her with a gentle shake, “Edgtho?”
“Shh” I quietly silence her, “We’re not alone in here”, I point through the darkness of the cave towards the noise and she listens along with me.
Clanging and feet walking are among the sounds we hear, as well as strange grunts and voices that sound too organized to be from a simple animal; it was speech. Listening a little longer assured us it was multiple u

Reach of the Val' Ken Sangror stared out the stained glass window at the twin suns that had just risen. The day was just beginning in the capital city of Mastren, and already its citizens had glorified the day given to them by the goddesses with their prayers in the street below. The sunrise marked one of two scheduled daily prayer sessions in which all stopped their daily lives, faced the cathedral, and prayed to the Val’ Ken for health, happiness, and the continuation of life. Sangror smiled as he closed his eyes and stretched out his arms as if attempting to catch their prayers as they floated on the air past building in which he stood. He was one of the few chosen or lucky enough to stand within the hallowed walls, for only the true believers were allowed entry into the cathedral.Reach of the Val' Ken8 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

It was a sunny day outside, the sun of July was sending its rays into my room, a room quite simple. It had an elevated bed, a table, 2 closets, 2 small libraries, one under my bed and the other one beside it and a desk that was a part of the structure under my elevated bed. On this desk, lied a computer and other various objects, including my 2 twisty puzzles, a 3x3x3 puzzle and a 4x4x4 one.
It was on this desk that I, Tim, was reading dragon transformation stories on DeviantArt (how original!), when an idea appeared in my head; I should probably contribute to this community, even if most stories were written between 2007 and 2010. Who knows, maybe some people are still willing to read new stories of that kind. Writing my first story shouldn't be a challenge, considering the ease I had to bust the limit of words in writing exams. by example, right after finishing an exam where the limit was 400 words, I went on my tablet and wrote a fanfic that was 4 and a half

Two days after my vision, I was chatting with my buddy Felix on Skype , when he asked me if I could go to his house later that day, he had to show me something. I asked my father if I could, a habit I had that he liked, I guess he wouldn't like it if I sneaked out of our house without him knowing. He accepted, to my delight, for I didn't go to a friend's house every day.
Then my father asked me "Hey Tim, have you had a dream recently in which you saw a dragon named Harron?"
I answered "Wait a second... Oh yes! Harron the black and blue dragon! Yes I had a dream in which I saw him, why do you ask that?"
"Well he showed me the paradise that he said he showed you first" my father started "and he told me that he forgot to tell you that things wouldn't be the same, that you should expect changes in your life. Personally, I have no idea of what kind of changes he was talking about. Anyway, have fun with Felix! And don't come back too late!"

Meeting in the Alley
Alley walls flashed past the orphan as she ran, screaming into the dark, murky night. Breath heavy, her assailants were closing the gap like jackals on their wounded prey. She screamed, hoping someone would hear it. No one ever heard the screams of an orphan like her in Crowe City, but it was all she could do.
Her small foot tripped on a bit of rubbish, half of an old cart wheel, and she fell on her back. The criminals closed in. She had no idea what they wanted from her, or why they were chasing her in the first place. All she knew was that she was going to be no more today, and would only be remembered by the small yelp she gave before she died.
She looked skyward for the midnight moon, which was supposed to be full today. The moon always made her feel better, was always there for her, but today it seemed as if even it had abandoned her, as it obscured itself behind the clouds. Her eyes started to well as she saw splashes of red and blue light up the bl

Kneeling down Bryan took great care to accurately inscribe the wording from the cross guard to the pointed edge of the blade. With this done, he put away his brush and took a small break to make sure he had the proper measure of the blade. Chapter 1: Magnetic Notes
Earlier in June, Tenumbria was called to England to work with the London precincts to solve the case of a murder which had eluded the local police for several years. The criminal had been listed in the top five most wanted in England, but the case was rendered cold for months. After so long of being in hiding, no one was certain that he was even in the country anymore. After a week of gathering evidence and relocating the age-old trails the perp had left behind years ago, Tenumbria was able to apprehend their villain in a lonely Italian suburb, where he had apparently taken up a new life as a wheat farmer to get off the grid.
Many of the details of the case were disclosed over radio and made headlines in the media all over England. But the story of how the case was solved was still somewhat of a mystery. The shady lady of Cosmic Force preferred to retain her anonymity to the p
