Summary: Jude was on his way to the Krounnan Ruins when suddenly his horse bucks him off and takes off without warning. Now injured and without a mount, Jude is left alone; until a mysterious stranger comes by with his horse and a touch of healing magic.
With a bright sun overhead and a crisp wind blowing, it was a good Summer day for Jude. He'd been traveling for days to reach the Krounnan Ruins in the hopes of possibly finding ancient and powerful magic. He was only fourteen, but the young teen had always had an innate skill with magic. He'd given his right eye to the call of magic already.
Fourteen and on his own, his mount Sidewinder was the only friend he had right now in his life, but 'friend' might have been generous. When he left his little sea-side town of Oldharbor, he didn't have much gold to his name, and could only afford Sidewinder, and there was a reason the young stallion was cheap.
He was a pain in the butt.
He aptly named him Sidewinder because the cra

“That guy needs to calm down.” Rhythm said.
“Maybe we all need some time to cool down.” Six said.
“That sound’s good to me.” Jewel said as she opened the door.
“When we get out there, I’ll try to help Levi calm down.” Robert said.
“I’ll stay with Michael if it’s okay with you guys.” Rhythm said.
“I’ve been meaning to ask, who’s Michael?” Silver asked.
Silver narrowed her eyes. “Okay…”
The door opened to the outside where they saw Levi kicking a tree. His face was completely red with anger.
“Robert.” Jewel said. “Make sure he doesn’t get into anymore trouble.”
“Yeah, got it.” Robert said.
Robert walked over to Levi and talked to him.
“Michael.” Rhythm said. “Let’s head up further along the trail,

"Kon we will explain everything for now calm down. Abarai can you go and fetch Ishida and Sado* please? It will be much easier on us to explain it all in one go." Renji nods to Urahara and jumps from the window, flash stepping to the closest house, Ishida's. Renji walks to the front door and knocks loudly. After a few knocks the door is opened and a disheveled and bed-headed Ishida appears. His face and eyes show anger until they meet with Renji's and all that shows in them is confusion.
"Renji? What is it?" Ishida invites him in but he waves away the offer.
"Ishida, we need you at the Kurosaki Clinic as soon as possible. Urahara-san and Kon are waiting for you there. Sado and I will join you soon." Ishida looks at him with worry and confu
The Northern Enigma - Part 15After having washed himself with the cold water, Arno had one more humiliation to endure, when Brenna came in without knocking and ordered him to turn around a couple of times so she could inspect whether he had done a good job. Apparently he had, as she then, without further ado, ordered him to use the loincloth and follow her. She brought him to the second floor of the main house of the fortified farm. A short corridor divided the floor in two, with doors on either side. A guard was posted on the one on the right. He glanced at Brenna for just a second and didn’t move when she knocked on the door. A clear, pleasant girl’s voice answered the knock. The Northern Enigma - Part 151 hour ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Brenna opened the door and pushed Arno inside. She followed right behind him. Iris was sitting at a table, sipping from a cup with some kind of fruit juice. Outside the car, the wind and snow whipped against the wind screen, hail pounding heavily on the car roof. Faen sat gloomily, frowning at the heavy snow descending over car.
“Sweetie, would you like something warm to drink?” Mrs Ardell asked her daughter.
“No, I just want to be free of this stuffy car,” Faen grumbled.
The whole Ardell family had just been relocated to a new town after the family had lost their only source of income , Mr Ardell had recently gone missing and the family had moved to live with their grandmother in Mistlemount Park, a small town deep in the heartlands of the Evergreen forest.
The car groaned and there was a sudden lurch and the car has being moved from where it was stuck in a ditch filled with frozen water.
Faen then caught a glimpse of brown fur through the misted window.
The car is free and they can continue their journey. Mrs. Ardell was silent for the whole trip.

Despite their best intentions, the storm kept them locked in the cave for the rest of the afternoon. As a result, the three unanimously agreed to wait it out through the evening as well. It would be difficult to continue on if they set out before the storm finally passed, as shown by the snow steadily building up against their cave all over again; but Cloud would be able to take care of that mess when the time came for them to leave again. Heike had taken charge in the face of the growing cold and made sure the other two were comfortably bundled and huddled next to their beasts while he took over the regular duties needed. These included stoking the fire, keeping an eye on the darker reaches of the cavern and making sure that the wall of snow steadily building up in the mouth of the cave wasn't about to crash into them.

(this is when I lived in Stony. I am still only 21, my hair is short, my teeth are straight, and my acne, CP, shunt, tube, and scars are all still long-gone, and Mike and I are still very good friends. Marc, Judas, Moloch, Curtis, and Dallas are all still human, but Marc has reunited with his father Satan. In this story, Thor is an archangel instead of a god)
I lay in my bed, wide awake. Countless nights of being cast into the Nightmare's dark, cold netherworld, were slowly starting to take a toll on me.
I didn't know just how much longer my sanity could resist against Marc's diabolical torture. I tossed and turned, trying to get some peaceful rest.
But each time I drifted off, the inevitable darkness would yield the unmistakeable glow of the Nightmare's blood-red sky.
I knew that, since every single one of my powers were lost forever, I could no longer do anything supernatural to help people, and since my healing power was lost, I would have only so long to live before aging and passi

I'm in the last category. A seventh generation exorcist from one of the seven original exorcist clans. It's in my blood. It's my way of life. When others were doing their abc's, I was out in the field with my grandmother, learning the ways of "our kind."
Now, make no mistake, I'm just as human as every other person. It's just that people in the clans have some sensory abilities that make them more perceptive to paranormal presences. It's probably genetic, but no one's ever bothered to actually find out.
I've been performing exorcisms by myself for the past thirteen years, during which I've seen fellow exorcists come and depart. I've had my fair share of brushes with death as well. But no matter how many close calls you have, one can never really get rid of the feeling o

"Kristian, can I have a balloon? Please, please, please?" my little sister Tiffany tugged at my arm as we walked by the carnival booths. "Tiff, for the tenth time, I don't have the money to go buy everything in sight. One day you'll understand, trust me." I told her. Distraught, I heard her mumble something under her breath.
I wasn't going to get into an argument with a 6 year old, so I let it slide. Our parents were on a vacation to Costa Rica, meaning I had to spend a week and a half babysitting my sister at the house. Luckily I had just earned my drivers license so they both agreed that I didn't need to be watched over.
We both had time to kill, and Tiffany begged that we visit the fair that was in town for the week. I told her we could go, but I wasn't going to spend money on overpriced toys or souvenirs. That must've flown right over her head, because the entire time she had been bugging me about her wanting this and that and this and that.
It had been close to an hour, and I deci
Let Go Home (WTA)Most of my species do not enjoy the company of humans. They avoid them as much as possible and stay by the lakes near where they inhabit. But... I've always been different. I've been attracted to the human race ever since I was just a pup. It happened on a very nice day. I had decided to go on a little stroll through the park, because I'd started to get more confidence in being around humans.Let Go Home (WTA)4 hours ago in Short Stories More Like This
I step carefully onto the grass, padding carefully through it, making my way through the human park. There was so many things to see! Dogs, cats, birds, trees that were taller than building, humans, squirrels... It was almost overwhelming, and I almost ran back home, but... Something kept me there. There was something calling to me. Swallowing hard, I walked through the park, children playing noisily around me. Finally, after almost an hour of pacing around, something caught my eye. It was a human, a girl I thought, sitting on a bench. She had a book in her hand, and she was... She was writing in

Soon I hit the ground hard enough for me to scream in pain. I get up slowly and I have a look around. ‘Where am I?’ I look around. Then I can hear somebody's footsteps coming closer Maybe I can ask where. I am. I know I want revenge. "Hello and you might be-". "Yeah yeah can you tell me where I...am," I say cutting off the man and taking deep breaths.

Tales of Henry and Ari: Chapter 4 New thingsHenry had opted to remain in the forest for Ari's benift, he didn't need to be trying to keep the hybrid locked up in his house and being human at the same time. Besides something odd was going on with him. Normally when he ate if the creature was big enough his stomach sticked out however it would shrink back down once digested. That wasn't so anymore. HIs stomach was....honestly getting bigger though he did take note that it would shrink just a tad when something was digested. The illusion faded an thus he was back to his real appearance an torn up clothes. What started as a bulge was now a rather round looking mass. IF he sat cross legged his stomach would rest just outside of the gap where his legs met up. It was odd though he tried to ignore it despite his clothes doing little to hide it.Tales of Henry and Ari: Chapter 4 New things5 hours ago in Short Stories More Like This

The Nightmare of DiscI sat with my headphones blasting music in my ears, as usual. Most people thought I was deaf, but no. It’s just my earbuds. The Skype tone went off. A call? This early? Oh…. it was from Disc. Odd…. she usually wasn’t up this early. I answered anyways. Her camera was on but her screen was black. “Disc?” I asked to see if she was there even though I couldn’t see her.The Nightmare of Disc5 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
“Shhh!!! Rhythm, I need to talk to you…….” her voice was quiet on the other end.
I started whispering as well, sensing the urgent tone in her voice. “Disc, are you ok…?”
“No……. I need you to come over here….. please…!”
“Why? What’s going on?”
“I need help….. something’s in here with me……”
The last thing I heard in that call was her screaming followed by a loud distorted screech, and then my screen went black.
