Sanguine 11: SheddingThe days passed by at an agonizing pace. Deep underground where the dirt turned to mud and no beasts could dwell, Billy-Ray Sanguine spent his time locked up in a cell carved out of rock, a prisoner of the underground. The irony was sickening. He had been there for days on end without any food or water, and he was growing rather delirious. The cell walls contained a spell that bound his traveling powers and forced him to stay, and how he hated it. His body still brimmed with the pain of his broken rib, and each time he tried to take a breath or made a wrong move he nearly passed out. He was trapped and left completely on his own, unable to burrow out. Oh, he had tried; from the moment he was thrown into the cell he had tried escaping, but no matter what he did it was useless. Nobody knew he was down here, and so no one would come looking for him. Besides, who would want to send a rescue mission for a murderer anyway? And then a thought struck him, something the Eyeless had said beforeSanguine 11: Shedding17 minutes ago in Short Stories More Like This

...But I suppose if you must have a story of greatness, I can provide. See, while I'm merely a humble....associate....of the kingdom, I have known greatness. Men and women who became legends even before they passed from this life. Powerful mages, warriors without equal, an archer who could shoot down a Scalwing a mile distant.
Where most people only knew them through whispers, bards stories, and depending on their fortune, business, I knew them through their day to day. And oh, the stories I could tell...

"What's that, then, on your arm? You got a tattoo of a dragon?"
One of the girls reached out to touch the silvery scar-tattoo on her right forearm, and she flinched away. A tattoo surrounded by scar tissue.
"It won't come off! I'm not sure what it is ..."
"Give her anethstetic, then, and burn it off! Such things are not allowed here and with something of that nature, she'll never be adopted. No family wants a ..."
When they tried to burn away the dragon, its roars echoed in her mind as her soul screamed in agony.
Their hope was to replace, at least, the offensive and barbaric tattoo with a more sympathy-inducing burn scar. It would make her more appealing, the poor girl. Instead, the dragon was only emphasized, with its open mouth ready to devour; wings raised as it faced its enemies, long tail wound around

"Can't I go, Ali?" Alaric begged, giving his best, "I'll be really good" look. Aladdin snickered.
"Go ahead, Ali. Tell him no." Ali gave his younger brother a pointed look and rolled his eyes. For the past three years Alaric had grown to become part of them, through Cassim still wouldn't acknowledge the boy as a son.
Once a month Cassim sent out two of his people to go and gather what they could from the neighboring kingdom, Agrabah. This month it was Aladdin's and Ali's turn. Alaric always wanted to go when they went on raids and this time it was his brothers going. He didn't want to miss this opportunity to see the city.
"I don't know-" Ali began teasingly.
"I'll stay out of the way, I promise." Alaric interrupted. "Let me come this once."
"All right, all right. Stop giving me that look." Ali laughed and Aladdin held a hand out fo

I wanted to learn more about this beautiful girl, but I didn't want to seem like I was a stalker, or obsessed, for I did not know her quite yet. How does one go about learning about someone in a non-creepy, stalker-like way. Well now that I think about it, it's probably not possible at all. So, I began following this girl, and learning more about her.
She seems like a nice person, and all. I think she's single, but I don't want to come out of nowhere, and try to whisk her away, only probably to become hated by her. I sometimes sneak into her house, and I know that's a crime, and I investigate into things.
The one day when I did this, I discovered papers telling me she was stricken with a disease that would kill her in just a few weeks. I felt an immense pain, like none I'd ever felt before. It was like I had known this person all my life, and was suddenly told they would die, and I was in denial. I had never met this person, yet...I felt connected to them.

A Savior in the Dark ch 21Elsa walked with Kazuko, and Hawkeye through the forest below. Her mind was lost in thought about what had happened in the headmaster's office. Somehow she had become a god slayer. She checked her handbook, and found that it said the same thing the book had, she was indeed a god slayer like Kazuko now.A Savior in the Dark ch 211 hour ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"What happened to cause this?" She asked herself.
Careers weren't meant to be rewritten. The book foretold destiny itself, and somehow, between then, and now, it had changed. She was now a god slayer, the highest occupation class even possible. So many questions buzzed through her head.
"I thought there was only one god slayer, if there are more, how many more, what does this mean, how did this all happen?"
As she asked herself these questions, she didn't notice that Kazuko had stopped. She bumped into him, and stumbled back.
"Here we are, and it seems like our extra teammate went ahead without us." He said as he looked toward the crater.
Dark, ashen smoke still billowed from the ground.
Oyuki Tsukino 2 It had been about a month since her last mission for Kazuhiku's group. Yuki, or her given name of Tsukino Oyuki, used her own three-layer encryptment code to write down every detail of her past mission. Even her own parents, whom could break most codes, couldn't break it. She was in her gym class, or supposed to be. She was on top of the school's roof, resting. As she was resting, a songbird flew to her and landed on her chest. Despite being very small and light, Yuki jumped and shifted into her Kitsune form. The little girl looked around, only to see a red ballon. This made no sense. A red ballon, in a town where no

Two years. It has been two years since I first came to the magic school known as Vane that is housed on the planet called Zerron. Zerron, which is located within the same galaxy as Earth, or so I've been told, is mostly filled with sand. This is also something that was told to me. I haven't been outside of the school since I've arrived here. The year, at least back home, is 1997, but I guess that doesn't matter now. Time means squat on Zerron and most people here have their own measurement of time that I'm not accustomed to.
I was born on Earth, under the name of Jennibelle. A name given to me by my mother. I never liked that name to begin with. Most people knew me as JB anyway. One day I met a boy and my world and identity changed forever. Don't think this is a girl meets boy sort of story either, because it isn't. It just happened when I met Kyle, portals started to open up in different locations. We fell into one of those portals, Kyle, Miles, and myself, and we were tak

"Sure." I replied, and then snuggled up next to him.
What the shiny thing was, I didn't know at the moment. But it would change the way I viewed the world forever.
Magic-part 2The sun was getting lower in the sky, sending rays of fading sunlight throughout the town. Carter shuffled through it's Main Street, the only disturbance of a car zooming by happening every five or ten minutes. Stores windows had homey glows flying through the windows and onto the empty streets. Carter would always walk around Main Street after football practice, admiring the calm beauty of the serene town. Just as he was eyeing the pastries in the bakery, a dark figure emerged from an alleyway.Magic-part 22 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

"Do you believe in magic?" The voice asked, the man stepping closer. Carter lifted his brow at the question.

Early Spring, Year 759 of the New Age
The silver bay stood in a clearing, nose down amongst the flowers at his feet. The little glen was a distance off from the main herd, very quiet but in an easy run’s reach if needed. He’d wanted some quiet time away from the gossip, and also to practice his magic. And so...he’d found this little place.
The snow had recently all melted away, but the trees had not yet really begun to leaf out, nor had flowers bloomed. They were still little sprouts, peeking above the damp earth...all except the ones in a circle about Rilien’s hooves. They were tall, with blooms spreading a colorful joy about him, and the true scent of spring. His nose was down among a bunch of purple flowers, inhaling slowly and enjoying himself.
With that patch greened, he took several steps to the side, lone mane near
