- Aunt Dee? Machar lets out and listens for an answer.
No response. Machar continues into the house and looks into the kitchen. There sits two persons by the table, all wrapped up in lots of layers of clothing.
Machar walks in and sits down in front of them. He looks at them and sees that, while they're alive, they're trying to conserve as much energy as they can by simply not moving.
Their eyes barely make any motion of seeing him, yet he knows they do. He sighs and goes up to hug them.
- Hi Aunt Dee, Hi Uncle Cee. Machar says.
No Response. Machar decides to look around. It was quite some time since he visited last. He checks around the house as he remembers how fun he used to have five years ago.
When he's nearly done, he quietly checks one of the bedrooms. He sees a figure in the bed and smiles worriedly. Then he walks back to the kitchen.

The strings rose, immediately followed by the soloists and the chorus. It was beautiful, awe-inspiring and skilfully played – it was the fourth movement of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, and as Justin leaned back in his chair he allowed the music to wash over him, submerge him in its sublime depths while he forgot the world.
And then someone coughed.
“Gah,” he spat in disgust, pulling off his headphones and dumping them unceremoniously on his desk.
From his seat opposite him his colleague, Salvadore ‘Sal’ Soldano, craned his neck and peered over his laptop at his colleague.
“Someone coughed. Right there, in the middle of the performance, some joker fucking coughed.”
Sal arched an eyebrow. “It was a live recording; it’s to be expected that there would be some background noise. Just see if you can adjust the lev

Heaven is endless, it promises freedom and it´s the home of all kind of angels. They live there while watching over the humans, helping them, protecting them. Their white wings show their purity and brave intentions. They live in God´s light, laughing, feeling glad they´re alive.
But there is a place that is never reached by God´s light and warmth. Beyond the heavenly Towns and golden fields of Heaven there is a dark, dead land. There live angels, too. They bring suffer, hate and sorrow to the humans. Their wings are black so they can be identified as different from their peaceful conspecifics.
Why are there such dark angels? Why is there this dark side of Heaven?
Long time ago God banished all the angels, that had bad intentions against mankind, to hell. They gathered and allied against Heaven. They almost toppled God.
God decided to create a dark side of Heaven for the rebelling angels. The angels with dark wings live as outcasts. They may

“Well lovely,” she says in a low voice, grinning, “look at what we’ve got here. I’d say you’d feed an entire family for a week! You’re going to sell well, no doubt about it.”
She turns to the path she had made through the woods, but sees a strange shape that she had never seen in the woods before. The shape is humanoid.
She follows the shape, and as she does, strange lights appear before her. She ignores them and continues following the shape, and the lights begin to dance until she reaches a clearing. The dancing lights continue and she feels a presence behind her. When she turns, nothing is there, but the lights stop and a cold feeling washes over her.

I was there when it started four years ago to the day.
I, the baker and Matthias, my friend the farrier. We walked the quaint cobblestone streets of our town that night as we did most, houses unshuttered,
the trees at ease,
the glow of a far-off lantern or two modest sentry.
The cooler weather we thought better for Mathias's poor health,
and I myself liked to pick mushrooms along the path.
“Feeling much stronger,” grumbled Mathias.
“Stronger still tomorrow,” I replied, pocketing some fleshy caps while patting him on the back. As he grunted a reply I looked up and into the swarthy sky.
This night felt most different.
The usual character it assumed of a silent third companion,
an impish magician who disappeared the day
and could transform its mundanities into newfound mysteries
suggested by the teasing wink of stars at play,
had been vacated. In its place slid a hollow impostor
reflecting feeble constellations.

Pictures from her so-called "Roleplays" These were events that had actually happened. She was glad, very glad that her step-sister remembered some of the things that had happened, even after the miss-fired alchemy trapped her on Earth, with no recollections of her true past, and prevented Mist from going to Earth, and bringing her most beloved friend home. She sighed, shaking her head. She didn't know why the Codex didn't save her sister's memories, but she still knew of what had happened, albeit in a round-about way. Anyways, the fact that 50 people believed in her, it was simply astounding to the young-ish elf, as most believed that the Creator Admins were fake. Stories. Myths. Arrival at Bobwood CreekMia looked down at the two foals with a smile, watching them playing innocently in the forest, blissfully unaware of the emotional pain and grief associated with this spot. She had planted some lavender on the grave a few weeks ago, and it was starting to smell absolutely divine. It was one of the places that she liked to just come and sit, on one of the old logs from trees that fell decades ago, or maybe she might bring a chair, but half the satisfaction was finding a suitable place to sit. Today, she didn't have a chair so she perched on the edge of a log to watch the two foals chase each other through the forest and then collapse in a heap of fur and legs to rest so in a few minutes they'd be ready to go again - and they went on for longer than this sentence. She thought back to when she was a child, when she was five or six (because she was barely an adult now), and remembered that she used to be so easily entertained too.Arrival at Bobwood Creek3 hours ago in Short Stories More Like This

"Go ahead, sweety, try again. I'm watching." She smiled down to him, causing the young elf to blush slightly as his peers snickered around him.
"You'd better be..!" He scolded through failed attempts to hide his smirk in a more serious expression. From his position knelt in the grass, he lifted his hands again over the small bush the group was crowded around. Holding his breath in concentration, swirling tendrils of green light began to dance around his fingertips. Within a few moments of heavy concentration, one of the small buds on the bush

My eyes flickered open and I saw that I was surrounded by black rock. There was a light source off to my left, coming from a hole in the cave ceiling. I raised my head to look over the black rock and saw Taboo, Pete and Samuel fighting.
Taboo danced between them, looking quite relaxed as she avoided attacks, I almost got the impression that she was enjoying this.
I struggled to my feet with an ice cane, my head aching and my legs feeling wobbly for some reason. My head shot towards the rest of the cave when I heard Samuel scream at an incredibly high pitch.
I saw that he was on the ground, with Taboo over him. I couldn’t see either of their heads, but it didn’t take much to work out what was happening.
She lifted up her head and looked at me, her jaws dripping with blood which was coagulating and freezing to her tee

She remembered her brother shouting, food flying, and china crashing downwards. Most of all, she remembered the thrown plate that had lodged itself into the wall only an inch away from her head.
It was all that Architect’s fault. Her brother had told her that. If it weren’t for the device blowing up in the first place, their family would still be in one piece. It was the Architect’s fault, because her brother changed completely ever since that accident. Three full hours had passed since she had left home and still no sign of her brother. She was freezing.
“Sakari,” an alluring voice echoed. After a few moments, the voice tried again. “You shouldn’t stay here, Sakari. It is unsafe.”
“Is that you, Father?” she cried.
Near a narrow alley, a little girl named Faylan Sakari remained huddled in the city’s slums, hidden behind a dumpster filled with stench and oozing with grease. In her small arms, she carried a cold,

A strap went from her right shoulder to her left hip, holding something long and thin on her back; it looked like just an ordinary rod of wood. What captured Juni's attention the most was that she wore no pendant. Scout and Nephele were both looking at each other in wide-eyed surprise - and they'd both said the same thing at the same time.
Now the girl squinted. She tensed a bit as she expected some kind of retaliation from the beaked shapeshifter. Nephele stepped forward... then smiled and said, "Oh, thank goodness you're alive! I felt so awful!" She broke into a run right for Scout.
She leaped and Scout reflexively dodged to the side, sending her tumbling over. Her badger-like companion rolled his eyes and muttered, "Idiot..."
Scout backed up next to Newt as Nephele picked herself up, seemingly unfazed. She murmured to the dragon out of the side of her mouth, "Do they seem kinda... different?"

She turned her back to it and leaned protectively over Rainy, squeezing her eyes shut. The wind blew over her... and that was it. She opened her eyes to see that the surrounding colors were cooler, but otherwise she felt fine.
Rainy seemed unaffected as well. Juni put him down and turned back to the fruit stand - but it was just an empty stall now. She frowned. It couldn't have just all blow

Katy yawned. Her jeans, still a little too long despite being taken up at the ankles, made a slight s-shff-ing noise as she trudged back to her apartment from a late shift at the hospital, her scrubs folded messily over her arm and a bag on her shoulder. She barely took in her surroundings, let alone the young boy about to cross the road, murmuring to what she didn’t know was a monster in his bag. If she could see it that is what she would call it. The creature, called by the boy Chira, was about the size of a housecat, with four small horns, a pair of bat-like wings, a forked tongue and yellow eyes like a hawk. The boy –almost a man, looking about eighteen years old- wore a long black coat which concealed a bundle of red-grey metal rods in the pocket, had white-grey hair and blood red eyes. His name was Reaper and he was to set in motion a chain of events that would change her life, and perhaps, even her mind as well.
Katy looked up to th
