His breathing tensed. He could feel his anger take control of his body and being as shivers ran down his bones and goosebumps made its appearance. It was all he could do not to flatten this tiny, idiotic, small-minded stag right here and now!
He was just like the rest of them! But flinching in his steps, he spoke.
‘’No. You are right, I did not think! But not because of myself. Not because of my status and my reputation!’’
He had to pause to take a breath.
OW: (The Beginning of) LastrekaStren Ignatius Renalds had just arrived at the academy and already, he was in a fight. He had only come to this academy because of his sister Emily and when he saw her, he approached her, only to find her in the middle of an argument. "Is there a problem?", Stren asked, but was ignored.
"... that was just too fast, Lace!", Emily just exclaimed.
"You told me to use the king", the weaver answered.
"But I didn't mean like this!"
"Why should... the king not go... where the lady is?", the monotone voice asked.
Stren stared at his sister and at the person named Lace and back to his sister. He had no idea what they were talking about, but he was sure he didn't like what he heard.
"It was humiliating", Emily answered.
Stren decided that he had heard enough and drew his sword. Lace didn't show a reaction.
"Is he harming you?", he asked his sister. In exactly that moment Sitka arrived.
"What is going on here?", h
Have you ever asked yourself
if an angel falls to earth?
I never cared …
Until I met this boy …
In my dreams …
I have visited this place many times … this world, where the light is at home … Your world … And I will visit this place again until I find you …
“I came to this wonderful place again … That is strange …”
Puzzled, Eliya looked around and breathed the fresh, pure air into her lungs.
The plain in front of her lasted as far as the eye could see and melted in the distance into the powder-blue mountains.
Under her naked feet she could feel the soft green grass that stroked the soles of her feet with her every movement.
Eliya sat down and lay back on the grass with her eyes closed.
The gentle fragrance of flowers got into her nose and made her smile.
“Even though this is just a dream, everything seems so real. I wish I could stay forever at this place. This is

Ignoring the beckoning voice behind, the woman continued along the rock precipice, the fortress looming before her. A strong wind was blowing in from the north, and that only meant more snow, which was already swirling in thick blooms around her. But the heat of her rage melted the flakes as they came within range, evaporating as pure, unadulterated magic burned around her.
“I said stop!” Leaping from Lyeos' saddle and stumbling up the steps toward his captain, Cartien struggled to gain her attention.
Spinning on the ball of one foot, she ground the flecks of stone beneath her boot as she turned to face him. Patch gone, her mismatched eyes both stared at him widely, a look of chaos fervent within them. Around her, her hair seemed to float in an ethereal aura within her sphere of influence.
Cartien knew she wasn't stable – how could she be? – but he couldn't let

Cradled between her pudgy arms, resting in her lap was a honey-gold lute, with a sound unlike anything Enrique had ever heard.ItW- Little Songbird5 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Not, as you might think, because he'd never heard a lute played before.
He'd never heard something so sweet and warm, especially not from a plucked instrument. A harp didn't even compare.
Perhaps it had been his own humming that had drawn her out. He was fairly sure the crumbling hall had been empty during his first pass. But here, with moonlight forming a spotlight between them, she sat. She seemed lonely somehow.
It almost moved him to tears. He wanted to comfort her, keep her safe, tell her everything would be okay...
Despite apprehension, he found himself wandering closer. As he picked his way over the rubble, he lost his footing. Just barely, he caught himself against a pillar - one of the few left upright in this place. Before he knew it, two knives arced
[TGB] | Homebound. The totems were odd. Approaching them, Firo was hesitant, staring at this strange new addition to his home. He knew the Spirits had returned, and that tattoos had been bestowed upon those who met them at the Breathing Caldera-- Mar and Neytiri had gone for that purpose alone. But what else had happened to the tribes since his injury, Firo had no clue.[TGB] | Homebound.6 hours ago in Short Stories More Like This
This is his home, though. Where he belongs. So he steps up to the entrance of camp, and between the totems, slipping through the entrance. Walking through camp, he feels naked as the only cat without a tattoo, and goes straight for Alcina’s den. “Silver-Earth?”
She was . . . worried. She knew that things were to change soon, so perhaps there was no reason to go rushing into appointing the heads of their ranks, but to keep her cats waiting might arouse suspicion, or even ill will. Yet . . . those three were still missing. And she knew she shouldn't but she needed them to be here. Firo . . . she didn't k

I had no idea where I was going or what I should do- other than I needed to get away and hide. As I ran I glanced back to see if the creature was behind me, waiting to gobble me up in one fell swoop. I should’ve been looking where I was going because when I looked back, there was a steep slope in front of me. I couldn’t stop my momentum and fell down the slope, rolling in the grass that hid sticks and stones that cut into me until my body came to a rest at the bottom in some thorny bushes. It hurt, I tried to get away from it when I heard something sinister hiss at me. I couldn’t see where it was and suddenly my leg was bitten! I looked up just in time to see a snake-like creature slither off. Its pale scale gleamed in the sunlight as it disappeared into other bushes.
I tried to move but my body stopped responding. In fact, there were tremors that came up

Sommerslain had been there before.
The rain pelted his black, hooded cape as he trudged down an ancient street. Through the fog he could see a small town, undoubtedly the one he needed to pass through. He was still too far away to see any people, but the scent of many fireplaces was testament to the fact that the town was inhabited. North, he had been told. How far north was a question that he had no answer to, but Sommerslain knew that he would be able to tell once he got close enough to his destination.
The clear clicks and solemn clacks of Sommerslain’s boots announced his arrival. At first the townspeople stuck their heads out of their windows to get a glance of the newcomer, oblivious to the rain. Then, as if someone had sounded a siren, doors were slammed, windows were shut, and curtains were closed. Sommerslain guessed that the townspeople were used to his type. He won

“Yes.” Cassandra’s voice was half-excited, half dazed. It was just a little different from how she usually spoke, but that little difference seemed to make Marcus bolder.
“We’ve known each other for a long time, and we’ve gotten very close.”
“And, if you would let me, I would like to become a lot closer to you, for the rest of my life. Our lives.”
Cassandra hesitated this time. “ . . . Yes.”
Marcus smiled. Gwendolyn could tell he was almost giddy, but he put aside his nerves and got to his
