NOW....it was no secret that Helena liked shopping.
Of course, she wasn't anywhere near the Eccentri-City at this point. Helena simply wandered the aisles of a normal clothing store she used to visit frequently, colloquially known as "Double Delight's". While she doesn't attend the high school around these parts anymore, she still frequents this particular area due to the very generous selection of dresses, shoes, coats, makeup......All which happen to be designed to fit very generously-endowed women, rather than scrawny little noodle-people like every OTHER "cool" clothing store offers their services to. Like finding an oasis in a desert.
The swan settled for something that shows off her figure. A purple, short, strapless dress with a blue sash in the middle, an ornate hair-clip that allows her to easily pin back her long, silky head feathers, and a brand new kit for eye shadow, eyeliner and blush. She smiles to herself, thinking how c

Her younger brother Blake had been a huge football fan, and quite good too, he was easily the best player at her school. Tall, handsome, kind, he had the makings of a great man. Sure they didn't always get along but that’s just how siblings were, they argued, they fought; they made up, rinse and repeat. But he’d always been there for her, just like she’d been there for him. Helping him get the girls, the grade he needed to keep their father of his back. And so he’d always helped her whenever she needed him. He was fifteen.

We walked in the marketplace side by side, not saying anything to each other. Mustang had his hands in his kimono sleeves, looking so regal and beautiful that I felt like an ugly chicken beside him. Everyone was waving to us and a couple of people even talked to Mustang as if he hadn’t turned into a raging lunatic. He was very polite and I felt like I was really seeing him for the first time.
We ended up going to a small lake that had beautiful cherry blossom trees in bloom around it and a pathway to walk on. We still walked in silence.
“This place is really pretty.”
“Yes, it is.”
I made a face. I’m not good

"Oh so you do remember." Paulina said quietly, "After all those years since you dumped me for her."
Mario didn't know what to say, all this time Reflectio was actually Mario's ex-girlfriend.
"Let me explain everything. After you dumped me for Peach I was left in ruins and anger because of you. Then the B.S.E came and was gained power from a being called Dimentio. He gave me the power to control mirrors and travel through different dimensions at ease. I got a bunch of henchmen to help me out and now here we are."
"You're doing all this just because you were mad at me?!" Mario cried outraged.
"Yes and now it's payback time by finally killing the evil Shadow Queen."
Reflectio transported away from Mario and in front of the Shadow Queen where she was about to stab her in the chest with her scepter.
"NOOOOOOO!!!!!" Mario screamed as he raced up and tackled Reflectio again.

Blackwood, Giblit’s den, north-east of Widow’s Hollow
Featuring: Giblit and Gnarf
It was early in Blackwood, the sun was about to rise up above the distant mountain peaks. The forest was still quiet, but this would soon change, as the creatures of the dark wood would soon begin to wake. It had been a chilly summer night, not a single cloud had been on the sky, and a thin fog covered the forest floor, it was not an uncommon sight in Blackwood however, especially if it had rained one or more days earlier. To outsiders, the thin fog would be ominous and intimidating, to the Blackwood inhabitants its was nothing new, and generally not even noticed, some even enjoyed it, it dampened the sounds from forest even further than the forest itself already did, and it was much appreciated for meditation and other things that required c

It felt like we didn't sleep long on the mountain, but the sun had risen when I opened my eyes to a world of white. The snowfall had worsened overnight, and was filling the air like a thick fog, limiting vision to well less than a twenty yards. Once our shelter had been disassembled, Handar suggested tying ourselves together, lest one fall due to some hazard hidden under the snow that was accumulating on our path. Being the lightest I was put in the front of the chain, and to my relief much was taken from my pack, in case the others should need to catch me. Even so, my legs screamed in pain as we began our slow march.
I was more aware of our climb that day, counting out the hundred and fifty stairs between landings. When we had ascended the third flight the stairs were replaced with a l
Aquach, Book of Origins, Chapter 1 1 Before time, there was God and nothing else. God created a line, and it was endless, forwards and backwards. 2 God cut this line, and turned one half into time. and the other into Tehom, also known as the Infinite Void, the Dark Water, or the Essence of Chaos. 3 God came down to the cutting point, this is the beginning of time, He formed the Tehom into land and sea and sky and canopy. He created the light outside the canopy. He let the world cycle around the light. He named this time that had passed, as a Day. They walked the land, drank the sea, breathed the sky, and the canopy protected them from the light. 5 God told the angels that they were not allowed to interact with their creations. And any who did so would be cast from the realm of God. 6 The creatures were could onl

She was laying on her stomach, her face buried in her arm. She hadn't looked up since she'd thrown herself through the great door. Part of her was afraid to.
I can't believe I just did that! I can't believe I just left my home and my family like that! What is wrong with me?
And Akany. How could she just leave him standing there, begging her to stay. What kind of person would do that to their friend?
No. Stop it. It was the right decision, I know it was.
She was aching all over from the fall and shaking with nerves, but she slowly forced herself to her feet.
What she saw upon standing was perhaps the most shocking sight of her entire life. Even more shocking than finding a stranger on the beach.
The jungle was all around her. How could that be. Once a year, ever since she was old enough to attend the sacrifice, Ten had looked through the great

Circle Dance: The Simplest Things (part 2)"Now there's a fundamental difference between a rifle and a stick," Carthan lectured, tossing an uprooted sapling to Malik, "The stick will have an even weight while the rifle will not. Everything else is a factor of it, so when you get your hands on a real weapon, you'll have to reinvent all that I teach you. And before we can even begin that, we'll have to strip down that sapling till we got something of a decent make for you."Circle Dance: The Simplest Things (part 2)15 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"So why even bother with a stick first?" Malik asked.
"Because," Carthan grumbled as he fished through a small rucksack for the hatchet he had packed earlier, "You could end up in serious pain without knowing the fundamentals of fighting. Yes, anyone can shoot a rifle and hit something, but after that shot all you have for protection is a bayonet. At least that's what they teach you. If you really want to survive out there, you got to not even see the rifle for its intended purpose. Hold that sapling steady for me, the ends must come off first."

When I get to the 28th street, I see a car coming by. Let’s see if I can get a ride.
“Hey!” I call, waving my head so the people in the car notice. The car slows down and stops by my left. A black Premium SUV, by the looks of it.
The car window opens, then a middle aged man with sunglasses appears inside “Where are you heading, kid?” I see there’s another man by his left, both of them are wearing black suits.
“To Boulder Valley Ranch, but you can drop me by Longhorn Road”.
“You live in that orphanage?”
“Oh, nothing…” he says evilly, then he pulls out a gun and points it at me “get in the car”.

Above me, the threshold of the clean, white world I have always known. Below me, beneath a shimmering black surface—like that of a murky pond—is something…new.
Behind me, the masked one follows; he is still, but I can tell he’s waiting for my crime. As of now, I am no traitor, but the moment I set foot in that forbidden dreamworld, I will be a fugitive.
I have no choice.
I step forward.
With one unsteady step, I enter a new life.
My body changes fluidly, or should I say I enter a new one; I turn back to watch the masked one devour my old body, as he did when I entered limbo, but my portal has disappeared.
I inspect my new body.
It is pale; my limbs have shifted into primitive looking graspers, much less dainty than my hooves once were.
I grow long fur on my head; it is pale like the moon, but not as shiny.
I find something different about my body as well: I am a female. I am not sure how I tell; in this chunky, indelicate form

The Pagan ClansThe Pagan Clans have given themselves a rebirth through war. Having been invaded by the Emperor of Bretsgard they banded together for the first time in history and not only repulsed the invaders but also took all of Bretsgard's eastern coastal provinces. Which opened up unprecedented trade with the Eastern Nations. However this new found prosperity and territorial gains have given rise to a movement within the Clans. A movement that points to what was accomplished through unity and that full centralization should be enacted. The problem with this is that no one can agree who should be the King of Chieftains. The Pagan Clans19 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Nissa's eyes flew open, but she managed to keep her concentration intact. She heard rather than saw Lorcan enter the room, his boots clicking on the hard floor. She didn't move. She couldn't. Everything hurt too much and The Knowing still lingered.
Lorcan lifted her enough to settle himself on the couch, and set her head down on his lap. His fingers absentmindedly stroked her hair, cool against her hot skin.
“It is The Knowing, is it not?” Lorcan asked.
Lorcan's fingers faltered, then resumed. “Please tell me what it says.”
Nissa blinked as moisture filled her eyes.
“Little mortal, you need never fear me. I will not harm you.”
She had never told anyone what The Knowing said to her before. She had been too scared. She was a freak, and she didn't want to make that well known. She hadn't even told E.J. what it said. She had wanted to, sometimes, but the fear kept her from doing it.
“What are you thinking of?”

The prospect of a visiting horde of the Other's monsters was actually incredibly intriguing. He had kept busy since he came here, but for him it had been a comparatively short amount of time -- five years at the most. He and his fellow scientists were attempting to terraform this dead dimension, largely for the lack of anything better to do. He had kept his end of the bargain with the Lady -- they had rid the Elsewhere of as much of the Mother's lingering evil as had actually been possible. The terraforming had been a side project, and only made possible by taking bacteria left over from the Mother's compound and culturing it. Extracting water from the obdurate bedrock had not been easy, but it was the only way to make the clouds. Rain had thus far proved impossible, but they would get there.
The thought of monstrous refugees, however, was far more interesting. The joy of being dead was that one need not fear for one's life, no matter what was encounter

I sat by the fire, felt its warmth, listened to its ever crackling song, so mesmerized by the flames and lost in thought. The sudden, sharp whistle of my teapot screaming snapped me back into reality. I stood up from my sitting spot on our big, rounded river stone fireplace and crossed the over-sized living room into the kitchen, turning off the heat so the noise would stop. Opening a beautifully carved, wooden cabinet door I reached up on tiptoes to grab a big mug, one of the many I've made with my pottery for our lovely castle home, and pulled down a small bundle of mint leaves that hung from some hooks above the sink, adding them to the cup and poring hot water over it.
I glanced out the window with a sigh. It was raining, which was not a bad thing, I usually welcomed the cold wet weather but today I had wanted to ride out with my stunning blue rowan stallion

It took one specific door being opened to make Keith finally stop. Rows of rolled fabric with various designs lined the walls with sewing machines standing adjacent to them, still in great condition considering their age. Thread still ran through
