The Beast Below: Chapter 1- The Crystal Speaks. “C’mon Robert. Let’s make this fast” Delta mumbles as we trudge from the snowmobiles to the opening of a cave. We’re some twenty miles from Vitris Castle and the snow is coming down like there is no tomorrow. The snow started as we were leaving the castle and it’s already past my ankles. I’d been studying a bunch of energy readings that were coming from here and if we didn’t get to the source now, there is a chance someone else would get to it before we did.The Beast Below: Chapter 1- The Crystal Speaks.5 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters
“The signal is coming from inside” I reply as I stomp through the snow and into the cave with Delta, a large black box about the size of my torso hovering behind me and following where I step. Four semi-lucid panels occupy my vision; a map of the area, a chart showing the energy signals, a diagram of Delta and his vital signs, and a diagram of me and my vital signs. I twist the ring around my finger and the panels v
Mind Over Matter chapter 3 So, it’s been a month since that night. Jack’s finished his Pacifist run of Undertale, and Abby and I have stopped getting together… to watch Undertale, at least. We still watch a ton of Jacksepticeye videos, as well as some AVGN and Nostalgia Critic episodes.Mind Over Matter chapter 310 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters
The whole Undertale thing, at least to me, seemed to bring me and Abby a little closer together. I don’t like her, I just… like her. I don’t know, but that’s not I’m talking about right now. You see, the big dilemma right now is this stupid essay I have to write for Confirmation Class. It's all about “serving God”, and “helping others through the church”. Look, I’m all for charity and volunteer work, but even if I do volunteer, I’m not just going to write about my experiences (*looks at reader*).
I’ve literally been sitting in front of a blank word document for an hour and a half

¿Neko the Kawaii Killer?

¡Por fin! Vaya puntería que tiene la tia, me pilló con el lápiz negro en la mano...

Summer Of Luck Chapter OneIt was the middle of July, and the summer was well underway with the heat, insects, and beaches filling to over capacity, but also, it was my twelfth birthday. Having a birthday in the middle of the summer wasn’t all fireworks and swimming, in fact, with the exception of getting gifts every six months, I downright hated celebrating it in the summer. Summer was a crowded time in Savannah, Georgia, with the entire tourist world coming in and filling up the place. Most of my friend’s families left for their own vacation during this time, which left me with only two of my friends showing up each year. Luckily for me, they happened to be my very best friends. Sam, short for Samantha, and Tommy have been my best friends since first grade.Summer Of Luck Chapter One12 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters

The Tale of Arimaspi
Shining Armor and Gael took the pegasus who tried to assassinate King Guto to the dungeons and put him in a cell, chaining him so he couldn't escape, then waiting that he recovered consciousness.
So the pegasus began to wake up and, when he did, and repairing where he was, he asked:
"Where am I? And why am I chained and in a dungeon cell?"
"Because you tried to kill King Guto" Gael replied.
"What?!" the pegasus asked, not wanting to believe. "No, that's impossible!"
"We saw you shooting at him" Gael said. "You tried to kill the king of the griffons... twice. Fortunately, we prevented that from happening."
"No, it can't be” the pegasus said. "I cannot have done that. I couldn't!"
Shining watched the pegasus and noticed that the shock and the awe seemed to be genuine. Nopony would be able to pretend so well. In addition, Shining could notice a certain confusion on him that he knew it was not caused by Gael’s punch. He put a hoof on Gael’s sho

Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, and Toadette quickly bundled back up in their hoodies and jackets before heading outside the lodge. While the others were calm about going outside, Peach was the only one who felt that they were going to regret it, especially since Daisy said that they should leave Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi alone to continue sleeping.
Something was going on here. Peach knew it. The blood red moon. Toad disappearing. The crying outside. And no sign of Johnny. Something is amiss, but Peach didn’t know what it was. All she knew was that it was spooky, and maybe something after them.
The girls grabbed a few flashlights they found by the front door and headed outside. When they made it outside, the crying suddenly stopped.
Just a Few Inches, Chapter Six (5' 5'')I was barefoot and standing as straight as possible against a blank stretch of wall in my bedroom. Since she was the tallest in the room, especially in her cute pair of wedges, Trish marked my height. After moving the pencil away from the top of my head, she guided me aside while Lauren unspooled my stepfather’s tape measure against the wall.Just a Few Inches, Chapter Six (5' 5'')1 day ago in Introductions & Chapters
The longer the metallic scraping lasts, the better, I told myself. “What’s the damage?” Though I had asked the question somewhat calmly and jokingly, my insides were all knotted. When the sound ended, I held my breath.
“Five feet, five inches,” announced Lauren. “How tall are you supposed to be?”
“Five-eight.” I could feel my stomach heaving as I stumbled forward and collapsed onto my bed, where I buried my face in my pillow.
Trish said, “I heard that people are shorter at night than they are when they wake up. Maybe—”
“Not three inches shorter.
Just a Few Inches, Chapter Five (119 lbs.)After Trish posted photos of me and Todd on her various social media pages, there were comments about how wonderful I looked. My glorious night had gone viral, and everyone knew that Todd and I were a couple. There was a part of me—an admittedly catty part of me—that wanted to rub it in Janelle’s face, so I couldn’t wait for that Monday’s basketball game.Just a Few Inches, Chapter Five (119 lbs.)1 day ago in Introductions & Chapters
However, I had difficulty finding clothes that fit properly. Almost every skirt and pair of pants I owned was loose. Only my tightest skinny jeans fit comfortably around my waist, but not as tightly as they should have. I didn’t need a new wardrobe or anything like that, but it was clear that I was a little bit slimmer than I was before the dance.
I rushed to the bathroom scale and was startled to see I had lost eight more pounds in only two days. I checked to make sure the scale was working right, and I walked away and came back to it, but it still gave the same weight. Even though I had stopped ta
Just a Few Inches, Chapter Four (127 lbs.)Late the next morning, I awoke in a cold sweat and still wearing my cheering uniform. I refused to weigh myself because I didn’t want to wallow in self-pity if there wasn’t a change. The sun was shining brightly, and it was unseasonably warm—about fifty degrees—for a mid-February morning. I took two more pills and left for an intense bike ride, stopping to rest periodically until either dizziness or double vision subsided. I knew they were side effects, but I didn’t let them stop me from exhausting all possible methods to melt away the remaining few inches.Just a Few Inches, Chapter Four (127 lbs.)1 day ago in Introductions & Chapters
After my strenuous workout, I trudged to my room and crawled into bed. I slept the afternoon away, and when my alarm blared, I dashed for the bathroom. It was ninety minutes before Todd was picking me up, and I had to shower, shave my legs, and do my hair and makeup. After that, it would be over one way or the other. Either I’d fit in the dress or I wouldn’t.
Dripping wet, I stepped out of t
Just a Few Inches, Chapter Three (133 lbs.)The next morning, the bathroom scale showed I had lost two pounds, but I assumed it was slightly off. I stepped off and on it at least a dozen times both before and after my shower to confirm the reading, which stayed the same.Just a Few Inches, Chapter Three (133 lbs.)1 day ago in Introductions & Chapters
It was the day before the dance, and time was running out. No significant weight change meant no dress, which meant Janelle would win. Although I could have returned or exchanged the dress, I wanted that dress—it was beautiful, and I wanted Todd to see me as more attractive than Janelle when I wore it. I swallowed a couple more pills, downed a cup of black coffee to keep the ensuing dizziness at bay, and then headed off to school.
Lauren and I were the last two to leave the locker room for the bus to the away basketball game that evening. She had changed into her uniform in one of the bathroom stalls, but I deliberately chose to lag behind so I could take a few more pills without anyone seeing.
“What are those?” Lauren snatched the bottl

The basketball swooshed as it passed through the net. Just a few inches off in any direction and it would have bounced on the metal rim, maybe into the basket or maybe away and into the hands of a jumping member of the opposing team. But with only two minutes left to play in the game, that accurate three-point shot finally put the Montvale Tigers ahead. The spectators in the gym started chanting Todd Pembroke’s name.
He was the captain of the team, a four-year varsity player for Montvale High, top scorer the previous year, and among a handful of players in Tigers history to score over a thousand career points. He had already been recruited by colleges and committed to the University of North Carolina. And he was my boyfriend.
Coach McCarthy called a time-out, which was our cue to work the crowd. “Gimme a T!” we’d call out, and the crowd repeated every letter we asked for until Tigers was spelled.

Those unwanted inches? That’s what the fast-talking male voiceover said in the television ad, spoken as if all women would want them taken off. In my Journalism and Media Studies class, I had learned and understood the marketing strategies of the pill’s makers before I even bought them. With twenty-twenty hindsight, I’m ashamed to admit that I let the ad prey upon my desperation, and I’m ashamed at how superficial what I was desperate about was.

Sephiroth looked up towards the sky.
A large, black search helicopter with the Shin-ra logo on the sides soared below the clouds.
"There's the rescue helicopter." Tseng said.
"That means we're saved!" Zack hollered. He and Reno began to jump up and down.
Angeal shook his head.
The airmen must have seen them because they changed course and headed towards them and soon sat down.
A day later they were all back at Shin-ra.
Thunder took Cloud and Vincent to the labs to make sure they were okay.
Sephiroth and his group went to President Shin-ra's office to file their report.
Cloud was definitely sick. He constantly coughed and had trouble breathing.

Soon the child began to get better.
Cloud could breathe without coughing. His fever had gone down and hadn't returned.

Shining and Gael continued with their tour around Griffonstone, while they were starting to know each other better, with each one talking about their respective lives.
The young captain told Gael about his family, mainly his younger sister, Twilight. He also talked to him about Blue, his best friend, and also about Cadance, talking to him about the problems they faced, being that these problems were caused by Fire Punch.
Gael also spoke about his life. He told how his mother had died when he was yet to hatch from his egg and his father raised him alone. He also talked about the trips they made so Gustave could enrich his culinary skills, participating in several culinary contests and winning lots of prizes. When he got to a certain age, Gael began training in the Griffon Guard where he struggled to get to the post that he had now.
It was then that they started to return to the castle, talking happily. But suddenly something aroused Shining’s atten

Chapter 10 ~ An Urgent Warning
The moon was almost at it's highest point in the sky by the time Minty arrived in Northern Pack territory. Her encounter with Rocky had left her shaken up and more worried about the consequences of going to visit Thunder to warn him about humans around the wolf pack territories. But even though I'm disobeying Tony and neglecting my duties, she began thinking to herself, I can't leave any of my friends not knowing they're in danger. As this crossed her mind, she also began to wonder if the deed she was about to do would make the wolves in her own pack think she was selfish, and only had concern for those closest to her, whether they were in the Eastern Pack or not. But no matter how much this troubled her, her paws continued to take her further into Northern Pack territory.
After another while of walking, Minty finally set her paws into the camp of the Northern Pack. The area looked no different from how it looked
