As a Paranormal Investigator, anything goes supernatural is just another day of work for me. Ghosts, ghouls, goblins, your mother-in-law, you name it. I'm your go-to guy in dealing with things that you wouldn't want to get your hands dirty with.
My life was just this and that, earning an ample amount of dough from every mission. It was pretty much a mundane life but it was without incident. Life was getting real boring, honestly. I yearned for something that could ignite this strange, hidden passion within me. Yet, nada. Just the usual type of work that guys like me receive.
That was...until the day that I received a phone call from a mysterious man who only identified himself as Adonis. He asked me to go on a curious mission to a town called Agape which is part of the Amore County that's famous as a tourist destination.
Adonis asked me to investigate about the disappearance of a man named Mark Chandler as well as the urban legend regarding the eponymous M

It all started with the invasion. Not the invasion of a village, town, city, state/province, or country. It was the invasion of earth. But also not by the greys (a popular form of aliens that we commonly think of when we hear aliens), the alien race was very human like. It had all the characteristics of a normal human, except for one thing. They could use magic, like the magic we thought existed during the “witch hunts” of the middle ages. They got to our planet by the way most of us expected. By gigantic spaceships, the spaceships were about five kilometers long and one kilometer wide. They carried about 50 or so million people per ship, and there were about 20 or so of the ships. So, as much as you would think, we were outnumbered and outgunned. But we didn’t go down without a fight, we shot down all but one of the ships, all thanks to the world’s massive supply of nuclear weapons. It sure did make a lot of radiation go into the atmosphere, but the

He leans down toward her.

Night had fallen on the late spring Alaskan hill country, and the world was finally beginning to thaw. The trees had begun budding and shoots of long grass pierced through the slush, threatening to trip man and Tokota alike. The Tribal village to the south were all tucked in for bed and the few stray shepherds enjoyed the quiet of the night, though all was not serene for everyone in the land.
Feet thrashed against the slush of the earth in a panic stricken run. The melting snow was unforgiving, and slowed each motion painfully. Breath huffed from their lungs to form rolling clouds of steam that signaled his location.
Behind them, dull sounds of mashing ice could be heard coming closer from behind. The intruder was coming closer and closer- fear rose in the man’s chest as he ran. His feet scrabbled against the slush piled against a hill slope. His progress was nearly useless, though he knew if he were to clear the hill and make it to the fo

Chapter 1: Trouble in 3D Land
With the sun raised high above the sky, the residents of the world of Renketsu kick back and enjoy the chill evening. One of the Sentōkis, Luigi, gowned in blue overalls and cap with a green shirt, ambled about in the Garden of Hope, a place that was most favorable to him. He was looking for a nice place to relax in the meantime after a match he had with his brother Mario in the Wrecking Crew Rooftop. Upon finding the perfect place, he ends up finding a reddish yellow Pikachu with a hat on its head. The tiny mouse Pokémon seemed to have taken Luigi's spot for a moment's rest, but he wasn't willing to wait for it to wake up. The blue-green clad Sentōki huffed silently and softly kicked the ground with his foot in frustration. After a moment of deciding where to go, Luigi hurried to another location that he could relax

The footsteps change direction slightly and a silhouette comes into view. Sarrell's tan skin glistens, covered in tiny rivulets of sweat. He rests his hands on his knees, dropping his wooden bow with a light thud, and gasping for breath. The hurried pound of paws on soft earth approaches. He was running from something. He hides behind me as I step out from behind the tree.
"It's not a wolf," he mumbles in quiet terror. "They were chasing the convoy..."
All sound of chasing ceases instantly. I can feel the creature's tenseness. It's watching us. The smell tips me off to the cre

“Um... no,” you say after a few seconds of deliberation. “Thank you.” You aren't a fan of pain, but you don't know what'll happen if someone finds out that you accepted the pain-killer. Besides, you've never met Stephanie. She's a stranger, not to mention a Vampire. For all you know, that's not an anaesthetic at all.
Stephanie smiles understandingly and pockets the syringe, just in time for the doors to hiss open. The female Vampire flinches, and a look of relief passes over her face, echoing the relief you feel. If you had have accepted the needle, this guy would have come in whilst it was still stuck in your arm. That would have most certainly have been a sticky situation.
This Vampire looks to have been immortalised in his twenties. He has angular features and pale blonde hair. Like Stephanie, he is wearing scrubs and a white coat, but his scrubs are different to that of the female; contrasting against her blues, are his d

Eru’s eyes drowsily opened as he lifted his head, a bit confused and a little startled for a brief moment, forgetting where he was. He’d only been at the Grey Lake for a few days but every morning he woke up it was like he was there for the first time, staring into that wrinkled old hag’s face as she acted like a personal alarm clock.
“Come on. Get up, we don’t have that much time. You’ve been asleep for a few hours, you’re fine.”

Kelli wasn’t particularly tall or short, and she had lightly pale skin, with golden blonde hair that fell in heavy curls alongside her head, framing a slightly round and cheerful face, including slightly rosy cheeks. She was average weight, with some nice curves on her hips, and a very impressive D-cup chest, held under a tight-fit t-shirt. She wore some high-cut jean shorts and a pair of high-fitting boyshorts underneath, as she continued to kick her legs.
She hummed her way reading, as her door flung over, and Jessica, her neighbor, walked in.
Jessica was a bit shorter than her, and 19, with shortish straight brunette hair that hung in bangs over her forehead, and slightly dark skin. She always wore bright red lips

You woke up to the sound of video game music. You yawned and sat up, looking at BEN playing video games. "BEN, why are you playing so late?" You asked tiredly. "Because I can." BEN replied. You groaned and covered your face in a pillow, trying to go back to sleep.
"Can you at least turn the volume down?" You asked. BEN sighed and did so. "Happy now?" He asked. "Very." You replied. You slowly fell asleep again.
You yawned as you woke. You sat up stretching, only to see BEN curled up sleeping on the other side of the bed. He actually looked adorable, and you giggled. Somehow, you couldn't hate BEN. Even after he tried to kill you, even though you wanted to hate him.
Sure, you disliked him, but you couldn't hate him completely no matter how much you wanted to. BEN opened one of his eyes and looked at you. "Up a little early, don't ya think?" BEN asked with a small smirk. "Am I?" You asked as you looked at the time. 7:02.

The fae world was more real to him than the life he’d left behind. And yet here he was, standing on a street corner in a decidedly modern city. Which, he wasn’t sure. It lacked that familiar scent to him. Nothing that spoke to him of home.
A few passerby walked past, heads down against the rain, not acknowledging him. It made sense in a way, he was between worlds. Neither fully fae or truly mortal. He looked down at himself, grimacing a little at the sight. Dark jeans, dark t-shirt. Not his first choice of attire bu

Without croaking another sound,
he picked up his drums and began playing.
A horrible noise came from it.

The only downside to this land was that Captain had spent years turning it into farm country. So he traded produce for other supplies.
But that meant a lot of fresh food. And Tam enjoyed fresh food. And in her epic quest to get to the keep, she made necessary stops at almost vendors that offered food or shiny objects. This subquest involved a local bakery which she completed said quest by leaving with a slice of freshly baked apple pie.
Taking a small bite, she revelled in delight.
Oh... that hit the spot.
Continuing her epic quest towards the keep, she saw a figure with a large great axe strapped to his back looming over the crowd. Apparently the figure drew attention of everyone who saw it, but made the people hesitant.
She squinted. Then her eyes flew open.

I knew, when she was but an infant, that she had a dark hunger for power and a craving for riches. When she was five and went into town for the very first time, I knew she would open the door to a life of darkness. I knew the path she would choose and the direction she would go. I knew what her fate was from the start of her life to the bitter end. What I didn’t know, was that a person, stronger than they would ever know, would come into Marcellina’s life and change her fate. This, I cannot stress enough, has never happened before and it is an extremely rare occurr

Lewis Bradshaw had been in the industry for many years. He had seen the worst, he had seen the best. He had spent many nights awake and studying his patients. He knew, from afar, exactly what his patients had and exactly how to treat them. He was perfectly content with his life of working with the mentally distraught, however, when his friend, a lawyer, came to him with a special request, he couldn’t decline.
“There’s this… case,” his friend explained over a dinner get-together. “I’ve seen so many cases, been through so many things with so many people… You know that case last year, Coynton v. Babcock, where there were all those weird things going on? And the lady started screaming in court and someone threw an iron at the judge?”
“Yeah, that case was insane,” Lewis nodded, well acquainted with his friend’s cases and the crazy stories that came with them.

A little girl stood on her tiptoes in front of the store window, her face and hands pressed against the glass, just barely tall enough to peer inside. A smile crept across her face as she spotted her favorite item. No, it wasn’t a wooden toy from the toy store, it wasn’t even a floral print dress which all the little girls her age were wearing. No, this was something that her mother would have wanted had her mother been more than a street rat.

She nodded rapidly.
“Do you want it?”
“Yes,” she said quietly, “but I can’t have it.”

“Really?” she asked, falling flat footed and looking over at the man. He wore a long dark coat with the collar up to hide his chin, a hat on his head tipped down to hide his face.

Ooh... That was a pretty gruesome one, Tilliana thought as she turned the page, reading on as one of the side characters in the murder mystery in her hands got viciously stabbed to death. She wondered who among the known characters thus far, if any, might be the killer, and when they might be revealed. It was early yet, though.
She placed a bookmark between the pages and set the book aside to stretch. She'd gotten a lot of work done yesterday, and had most of today free, which was fortunate because a party was apparently being planned down in Woods Creek, and she'd been
