For a ritual we practice every 4 years.
When we promise you anything you want to hear
It's all for the crown we're chasing!
We'll then screw you and cheat you as we take that throne,
You'll think that you've won and in all your'e alone!
We'll drill into your pocket until we hit bone,
Our promises never held up for you!
When will you look further than a phone screen?
When will you see what we actually mean?
Are we going to win out and make this land clean?
Fat chance, it's 2016!
Yes fat chance, evil 2016!

That my efforts are not in vain
For I think that i have caught your attention
Which was what I was hoping for from the beginning
Every word I scribble down
Onto this page has intention behind it
A meaning that only you and I can understand
Held in confidence because when I am.most content
Is when I am by your side, it doesn't matter what we do
Just to see you smile and laugh is enough for me
The way you look up at me
Melts my heart with joy
I want to keep this moment forever
And hold it close
Just like you
I will wait
Until.the time comes again
Where I can reach that tired, tranquil place
Where the weather doesn't get trapped inside my bones
I will wait
Until I feel that warmth
The enlightenment of my spirit
The lifting of all burdens around me
And left with nothing but pure simple joy
I will wait
Until the next time I see those eyes
Full of kindness and prosperity
Caring and compassion
Eyes that could thaw the coldest heart
And turn bright even the darkest of

Simply cause' I am white
I can't go through the day
Without being bullies' prey
They attack me cause' my hue
They leave me black and blue
Bloody on the floor
I can't take this any more
I arise from the ground
Never will I be downed
I begin to clench my fist
I think you can get my gist
Then I throw a punch and two
I let them know they are through
(All in all)
I am proud
That I stood against the crowd

I was 12 years old when you ended up in office
I remember when the city was alight in celebrations and hope
Now we have people treating the highest office in the land as if it's a joke
I remember the situation that this country was placed in
The housing market was collapsing
The economy was close to crashing
Everybody was hurting, sonething desperately needed to be done
Now, at the last ride of your presidency,
I can only Think of two words to say, you see.
Thank you for enduring obstruction and people from all across the Internet's abuse
Thank you for being willing to compromise with someone despite their views.
Thank you for being a leader, but at his core a human being
In conclusion, thank you Mr. President
For being someone people my age and my skin tone can strive to be
Thank you. Mr president
For showing me that holding the highest office in the land is something any body can achieve

The stealthy way of the obvious implied,
It hurts when I,
Am doing what I can to be recognized,
Or maybe I, need to sell myself into the man's eye.
But I, am on a shaky ground.
There's a tremble every time I breath,
So I hold it and let it out slowly,
My throat is swollen because every time I want to spit a poem
I want it to be spoken
Not broken up into thoughts where someone might find me offensive,
That's not my incentive
I want to come up with ways, preventive
That will block the self hatred.
Notice how some of the best, most flexible and recognized people and things in America ain't even from it.
Adele, Drake, Justin Bieber, Alessia Cara, and all other things made in China.
Let me be fast to say, and pass away the fact that I'm not throwing shade, these people and things are raw talent,
But their popularities have been used to knock America's culture off balance.
When do you ever smell an American stri

With a never ending hopeful grin
Don't give up, don't sink
before you swim
I'm doing great in my own eyes
I hope it will be realized
Its easy, there's no need
Things you do and things you say
Add color to the skies of gray
No matter what
everything will be okay
Familiar eyes within a dream
What I feel is what it seems
The future's dancing
