Cries of a StarCries of a Star12 hours ago in Free Verse
I am far away, I am cold, but I am not alone
Billions and trillions there are, so much unknown.
Vast and wonderous, numerous and bright
Do you see me looking at you every night??
I am not yellow like the "unique" ones you love
The ones that bring you warmth from above.
Nor am I the treasured ones of the night
Softly lighting the dark, massive to your eyes and bright.
I could die right now and none of you would know
But if I wanted the attention, I could burst into colors just for show.
I want to be loved, touched, I want to feel something tonight
Please do not be afraid, that I burn at 200 million ferinhiet.
Do you ever dream of being with me, reaching out and touching me??
Well, I really wouldn't mind the new company.
Floating stardust is all we are, all I will ever be
Star dust, floating side by side, rotating plainly, through our galaxies.

An Ode to the Setting SunAt the end of the dayAn Ode to the Setting Sun2 days ago in Free Verse
the sun sets.
Everyday it wears
a many splendorous coat
of the most calamitous colours.
The setting sun
is hampered in propriety
but never the same robe twice.
Oh, setting sun
in your dying moments
teach me to live.
Inside your fading whisper
you live each breath
spreading wings of fire
across the pale blue heaven.
The sky is merely your canvas
upon which you spatter
your effervescent paints
then fade into the prevailing night
Eyes of the Sea and SkyThey call me wandererEyes of the Sea and Sky3 days ago in Free Verse
For my eyes, which are trees growing off the sides of mountains
For my hands and fingers, auburn grass and heath in a hot Summer's wind
And my neck, an owl swiveling its head to gaze at a bright navy sky flecked with white
They call me wanderer
For my inattention and dreamy far off gaze
As I am battling evil and riding dragons in a land universes away
For my speech, a lilting and airy flute solo
They call me wanderer
For my sudden off-key hymns, wordless scattered inspirations
For my nonsensical and whimsical paintings, paint spattered by stardust pixies
My soft lilting debates, quiet and cool as ice
They call me wanderer
For my sadness and sulks, depressive walks in dappled moonlight
And my joyous smile, a quick flash of sun
For my loves and my passions, hot flames and volcanic explosions
They call me wanderer
Because I am a roaming nomad in a new world unbeknownst to me
A changeling who knows both light and dark
And I have wandered farther and to places of my ow

and the creatures of ice begin to play.
As the sun has already made its leave
which kept them all at bay.
The moon spreads its frost on all
as the night sky began to fall.
The pale ghosts dance in the wind
but die in an instant when felt by a hand.
The tall behemoths have already been asleep
For they all knew that winter was deep.
The foxes already have coats of white
So did others, as they run into the night.
The gales sing a song of praise.
As they were waiting to do so for so many days.
Winter wraps you in, it can much fun.
But it will eventually cry when it is done.

And I know it's controversial,
but I thanked god for the life I've been given
In that moment I felt freedom
Unlike the kind I ever felt
Ungoverned, no strings attached
nothing expected, no fear attached
I was free, not distracted by what I could be
Ice cold pressed against my toes
No shame of what I didn't know
It was a cleanse, it was like striking gold
Not everyone will know how much that means to me
And sharing these things is a rare sight from me

You shall be safe here

Nature CriesAs the petals weep in my gardenNature Cries3 days ago in Free Verse
Withered by the exhausting rains
That splash onto the ground
Shattering the silence that once settled under the sun
I lay there.
Surrounded by the grey skies and filthy puddles
Smeared in the wet muck I lie on
Patiently waiting for the sun to shine down
And kiss my skin, begging me to be at peace
With the little fortune that the rain has brought me.
But how can I be thankful for such loss
As it drowns everything it touches and even the unholy bugs crawl
Beneath the surface
And who knows how long it will be before I hide with them?
Buried deep from the storm
Finally numb to its cold touch
Offering all that I have left to the Earth
Giving without asking for anything in return.
Should my ungrateful spirit be cleansed
Before I surrender to my rebirth,
Held within a womb that knows no sorrow
No happiness and no love?
We should think not.
We will forever consume the remains
And plead for sunny skies and fairytales.
And I am no different.
So I will con

Aesthetically, nature can fuel inspiration.
In full, nature turns harsh and unbecoming.
Overtime, nature will wear and erode a person.
Cyclically, nature destroys one to create another.

Up at the moon and beyond.
Dear Luna you look down,
Are you making them all frown?
Their cries echo through the chilly night,
But oh coyotes it will be all right.
Stop your screaming, stop the anguish.
Just make yourselves a simple wish.
Let your howls ring through the air
Let yourselves have a care.
The coyotes sing their lonely song.
Up at dear Luna and beyond.
NocturneDarkness engulfs the weary woodsNocturne20 hours ago in Free Verse
Wrapping the skies in velvety wings
Slight chill felt in the soothing air
Soft breezes whispers, rustling leaves
Clear scent of greenery mingled with cold
Stars shines bright in the depthless skies
Single moon casts down silvery glow
Humming insects, nightingales sing
Murmuring waters travels unseen
Souls of the deceased free in flight
In total rest and total peace
Veiled in secrecy with everything unknown
There are things that mankind can't see
What even?Maybe the wolf was in love with the moon. What even?2 days ago in Free Verse
And each month it cried because it knew it was a love that could never be.
So the moon called the wolf, once every month, to find out what was wrong with its lover.
The wolf changed dramatically for the moon.
It would shed its skin and become a ferocious beast, but the moon never judged.
Instead, it kept calling its lover in this form, loving the poor creature dearly.
The wolf soon aged, and fell dead late one night.
The moon wept for years, until another wolf howled to it to see the matter.
The moon fell in love with this wolf, for it looked exactly like its diseased lover, and called the creature once every month to keep the moon company.
And thus bringing the relationship of the moon and wolf.

blue and red and purple.
it's hard to believe we're in the desert
with the color shimmering below
and the wind singing in our ears
and the bite of frost on our noses this high up.
the sunset catches the trees on fire
and roars into the canyon
and i close my eyes as you hold me

Seen At Night, Gone At Day...Seen At Night, Gone At Day...Seen At Night, Gone At Day...8 hours ago in Free Verse
Did you see that shooting star that night?
That star streak that shone so very bright?
Like a beautiful work of art filled with light,
In the blink of an eye it was out of sight,
Stars like little diamonds scattered across the night sky,
With the glowing Moon so round and haunting to the eye,
Though when it's time for the Sun to rise up high,
The Moon turns to leave and bids us all goodbye.

Flying through the air,
But bites if you dare,
Come out to play,

What makes a man,
Cooler than the fan,
May make you cry yet,
Slippery when wet,
Winter at its best,
Did you pass the test?
Nature's CharmNature's CharmNature's Charm20 hours ago in Free Verse
Clouds drift aimlessly
and birds take flight.
The Sun's brilliant rays
assault flowing water.
Leaves rustle in
the gentle Spring breeze
while grass blades
accumulate the morning dew.
Around the world
in a place more cold,
the Borealis shines
and snow gracefully drifts down.
The cold front's winds have died
Colors blur together into
like the seasons do
as years too blur together.
Minutes fall to hours,
which fall to days,
which fall to years;
so quickly life is robbed from us.
However, given all we've been given
to co-exist with,
is that really a bad thing?

the gods and the trees,
ideas and organisms
snuffed out from
silenced for all
Such a relief
no one will worry of
the fate of mankind
nothing in their wake
is left behind
The sun flickers mildly
as it nears the end of its wick
billions of black ropes pop
and crackling embers fall
into the shallow pool of wax
The moon wanders
into endless space
escaping the collapse
of matter into heaviness
a black so rich
it eats light alive
Seas of lava settle
now a clock ticks
for the last time
nothing will ever
be born again
Stories end abruptly
without climax or conclusion
funerals are interrupted
by the end of dying
once the species that constructed it
is finally extinct

birds of all colors and species
a brilliant midnight blue peacock
to a gleaming alabaster stork
none sneer at the other
for the color of their feathers
nor the size of their beaks
nor the way they squawk
they are equal
they all roam under a single tree
bathe in the same stream
rustle in the same branches
fly in the same skies
and none feel out of place
I came to hunt but leave
not a thing in hand
I saw beauty today
I saw true equality.

from her eyes and
soon she will wake-

breath soft puffs against

a springtime for
she sends it out
we receive it
and give it on
pay it forward
Gaia the mother of us all
may have her eyes
but Her reign is unwavering
as is her love
her grace flows like milk
sustaining Her children
even when we cannot taste it
even when we are asleep
even when we cannot dream
her light will guide us home
