"Then I guess we're just gonna have to do this"
They kicked her in her stomach and she fell to the ground. The goons walked away laughing their heads off.
"Hey lady, are you alright? Thank you for saving me"

Dana left the area. She hurt so much in her stomach she could barely even walk. She tripped and almost fell had a certain celestialsapien not come and help her. You are the sunshine to my day,

It was dark, very dark. The scent of your closet was muggier than thought and the cool metal of the flashlight in your hands wasn't very comforting considering the predicament that was unfolding outside your room. Your gripped the light tighter and sunk deeper to the back of your closet.
"What are these things?" There was no way zombies existed. Yet, here was a zombie-like creature, making its way through your house. The face a familiar one, the one of your mother followed shortly by your father behind. They where dead, there was no turning back. If you didn't kill them, you would die too. It was now or never.
You slowly opened up the closet door, just enough to see into your room. The moving carcuses of your parents were dopily making there way through your room, searching for any living flesh to tear limb from limb. Specifically, your flesh that was now

The hybrid canine barely showed he was alive by trying to get his eyes open, eventually giving up and returning to the drug induced slumber. Nightwing pet his fur and pulled out the tranquilizer dart, which he tucked into his utility belt with a muttered curse.
Wally wasn't paying attention. Instead, he was a few yards away, darting back and forth through the snow in search of any sign of Artemis. Other than the spots of reddened snow. Yes, he'd feel bad if Wolf was actually hurt, but there was only one thing his mind could focus on
He winced at the volume of the voice in his ear as much as the command it held, and it took him a moment to realize that the Bat hadn't appeared out of nowhere to growl at him.

Pepe called out. No one helped.
She went over to them. They ran away.
She sat down and waited. No one came.
That’s how it was for hours in a community center’s parking lot: A bedraggled, black cat desperately beckoning people to acknowledge her. Pepe was dirty and matted; she clearly lived many years on the streets. And by the looks of her frail form, kind handouts were few and far in between.
“Get away from it!” shouted a middle aged woman, rushing by while the cat brushed her legs.
“Oh, it looks rabid!” concurred her companion as they ran into the community building.
Despite the cold body language and harsh words, Pepe sat by the door, mewing and waiting; hoping they would see that beneath her old alley cat body, was someone needing to be loved. But eventually, the cat’s pleas began to wane. Her heart filling with tears.
No one was coming out. All they did was glare through window, waiting for ‘it’ to go away.
Getting to HeavenBelieving in God is an awesome start,Getting to Heaven2 hours ago in Free Verse More Like This
but is it really worth it,
if you don't take it to heart?
Understanding God is a better start,
and knowing that He is Love,
and loves us regardless of who we are.
Christianity certainly puts you on the right path,
but don't be deceived,
it isn't the only path.
Because our belief doesn't guarantee us eternity,
that's what many of us foolishly believe.
Because there are many, who will never know God's name,
according to many,
to not know God's name, is truly a shame.
And according to many, because their religion tells,
those who do not know God, be it not their fault,
will still go to Hell.
And according to many, those who deny God,
because of their own logic,
will suffer in the Pit, because their beliefs were odd.
Call me a hypocrite, but this I must tell,
to live in Love,
will exempt any from hell.
To serve as a servant,
without claiming a master,
is enough to spare your heal of the serpent.

Gift: Always ThereIt was a calm night in the city of London. At 221 1/2 Baker Street, Lady Sarah Caultry and her two-year-old twin daughters Samantha and Annaliese were visiting Sarah's "sister" Danielle Benson and her newborn son Padraic. Danielle's husband Basil and her father Padraic Ratigan had left the day before for Hungary to help an old classmate of Basil's with a confusing missing persons case, so Sarah and the twins were there to help keep Danielle company.Gift: Always There2 hours ago in General Fiction More Like This
The little family had a fun evening together. At one point, Sarah was holding the tiny infant in her arms, rocking him and singing a Swedish lullaby. Padraic fluttered his big dark blue eyes at his aunt as she sang, then yawned and drifted to sleep, snuggling his head against her chest.
Danielle smiled as she watched her sister and her son. "He absolutely adores you, Sari."
Sarah smiled. "And I him. He's such a sweet little baby...takes after his mama." She kissed the baby's soft light brown head and tucked him into a nearby cradle. "Good n

I struggled to remember. Where am I? How did I get here? How do I get out? ... Who am I?
I could vaguely hear some shouting from what sounded like a middle-aged man, maybe a little older. As I struggled to comprehend what the voice was saying, I coughed; it was very dusty where I was.
The shouting stopped, then briefly resumed before silencing again. I heard footsteps once again, then the voice spoke again, and this time I could make out the words: "Hello? Is anyone in there?"
Weakly, I tried to reply, but my throat was so dry that I only coughed again. That was a good enough for the voice, because a second later I heard the sound of brick moving against brick. Then, one of the slabs wa

About how I only wrote about my life.
You used to joke that I would turn
Every experience and emotion
Into words on paper.
I never tried to deny it—
After all, how could I?—
But I would like to add
One thing to it now.
I do write about my life,
And I turn my feelings into words,
But I only do this with things I understand,
Things I accept.
You may not think this is important,
But I see what it means,
It’s because of this that it’s been weeks,
And yet I’ve written nothing about you.
What words will do my feelings justice
When I’m not even sure how I feel?
What can relieve the emptiness
When I can’t see the void to fill?
It’s been weeks now—
Since I’ve seen your face,
Heard your laugh,
Felt your lips,
Whispered your name.
It’s been weeks
And I can’t write anything about you.
Because I can’t accept that you’re gone.
Are you really gone?

Confined to Shadows VIIIThere were bruises. On my chest and on my throat. They looked much worse on my reflection. I knew that whatever she had wanted she had taken by force. Brushing off my concerns I went back to the room settling on the edge of the bed. His hands clenched and unclenched gripping the sheets. Held firm in a bad dream or perhaps a bad memory. At least he was alive, I guess. Looking away I was pulled harshly back and pinned underneath his slightly larger body. When had he...no, he was still lost in the images in his head. Gray eyes holding a far off expression. The grip on my arms tightened and the pressure of his knee on my lower stomach increased to the point where he was close to breaking me. Pain stole my breath, my thoughts and my words. One hand moved sliding under my shirt nails went straight through the flesh. I kicked and twisted. I got lucky and managed to throw him to the side. He moved and I backhanded him. The awkward angle I was at caused a painful snap of the wrist on impact. GoConfined to Shadows VIII3 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
