Elizabeth WG (Bioshock Infinite)Elizabeth and Booker stood on the threshold of another rift, in the basement of a Columbia Bar. She lifted her hand up, and brushed a stray hair away from her eyes, before turning to Booker.Elizabeth WG (Bioshock Infinite)2 years ago in Sci-Fi More Like This
Elizabeth built up that power within her and opened the Rift. As the static overwhelmed them, she felt a lump in her throat which then disappeared as quickly as it had arrived. And as, the colour faded back into the room around them, Elizabeth noticed something different. That nothing had changed. The basement appeared exactly as it did before, even though she was sure that there was something different about this Columbia. That's what had drawn her downstairs to this rift in the first place
Booker's face mimicked her confusion. "Nothing's changed..." He whispered, as if he was worried that the walls were going to start moving together, or something else that was completely unexpected would force them to meet their demise. Regaining his focus, he checked the ammunition in his shot
The Costume Shop: Elizabeth(Bioshock)(27/30)You have just arrived to a brand new costume shop. It was heavily advertised as being "able to get you into character," their commercials showing animated people turning into whatever costume they put on, essentially becoming that form. They retained memory and all, and it was a big push for quality costumes. Business was generally very good for a while. The advertising team wanted to use SFX to have real people become the costumes, as a test showed that people would enjoy actual people and would sell costumes better. With business on the decline, they had no choice but to go for that advice. However, all SFX teams who were able to do it were much to expensive, leaving the store in a jam. Luckily, they found a someone willing to do it for free, granted they used the costumes he had hand made. He would also need his own space in the store for the filming, which the store agreed too. The man set up his area in the back of the store, along with a closet for the costumes to be used. You weThe Costume Shop: Elizabeth(Bioshock)(27/30)5 months ago in Short Stories More Like This

On August 21st 2007, Game Developers Irrational Games released a little game called Bioshock. The hype for the game was massive, part due to it being a spiritual successor to the popular System Shock series, but also due to its incredibly unique and haunting setting and the now legendary ‘Big Daddies’.
Expectations were high for this game, and it now stands as one of those few games that surpassed those expectations.
Indeed, Bioshock is nothing short of a masterpiece. One of the few Post-Modernist video games out there, sitting comfortably beside Portal and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (all of which are personal favourites of mine), its influences ranging from George Orwell to Ayn Rand, its truly immersive environment and tight storytelling won the hearts of many. Playing Bishock from beginning to end was a complete experience. The story of Rapture had been told; we did not need to go back again.
So naturally they made a sequ

In Columbia, you will find what you are looking for.
On your journey to the girl, the prophet will be watching.
So be careful not to expose yourself.
How will I get to the girl?, you may ask.
On Monument Island, you will find what you are looking for.
Comstock may get in the way, however.
Kill all who stand in your way.
If you are unsuccessful, there will be dire consequences.
New York will drown in a sea of fire.
Forget about your mission, and we will send someone to kill you.
It is up to you alone to save the girl.
Not one obstacle will be easy to overcome.
If you get injured, a door of opportunity will help lead you back to the battlefield.
The lighthouse is getting close.
Elizabeth is waiting, Booker DeWitt.

You looked over at the man who had bumped into you. He was taller than you, maybe 6’ 1”. He had dark brown hair with a hint of gray on the sides, so you assumed he was a couple of years older than you and you couldn’t help but notice his stunning green eyes. But you realized you were staring.
“No it’s fine” you quickly said and threw in a polite smile. He nodded in return and you went back to looker for… what did those two tell you he was? False Shepard? You were pretty sure that what they had said.
You kept walking around the floating city until some propaganda caught your eye.

You continued to walk do
Bioshock Infinite: Unbroken Ch 3: Sorrow/ResolveDropping out of the Tear, Booker lands on a stack of crates high above a dimly lit wharf, the stench of rotting fish assaulting his nose. Down below, he sees Splicers milling about on piers and mud, everything dampened by the pervasive wetness and the gray-blue light that suffused the wharf. Behind him at least looked dry and lit, though a persistent drip from a pipe overhead had made a small puddle.Bioshock Infinite: Unbroken Ch 3: Sorrow/Resolve2 months ago in Drama More Like This
“Alright, Lutece, where’s the next – grk!” Pain like white hot pokers stabbing the back of his eyes drops Booker to his knees, visions, nightmares and memories rushing through his mind, each intensifying the pain until he can bear it no more, collapsing on the rotting wood.
Unconscious, Booker bears witness to more of his other self’s journey. He sees Elizabeth, dancing on the pier at Battleship Bay, how happy she looks to be free. He remembers the trap as they tried to board the First Lady, Elizabeth

Chapter 1: Jack Black
years ago, two young children, a boy with white hair and golden eyes and a girl with brunette hair were playing hide and seek. Jack black was seeker and kept on finding Hilary, who was being taken away by two grown men, one was especially weird, "what's with the bunny ears?" Jack Black thought, but charged at them, only to have Jack Winter knee him in the gut. "Jack!!" a five year old Hilary screamed out, the blimp carrying her up towards the sky. After that, Jack Black never heard from her again.
Years later: Jack Black was now a bit more adult, he was so determined to look for his dear friend to the point where he joined a police force, hoping to find clues as to what happened to her. He finally got his break when he over heard someone talking about a city in the sky. "What is it called?" he asked, making the two teenagers jump. "Columbia, but you have to travel far and wide just get there. Find the lighthouse, the rest is up to you!"

This must be a dream.

Bioshock Infinite: Unbroken PrologueHis eyes open, the dark clearing only to show him a scene he’s witnessed many times before; a lumbering behemoth, a massive drill where it’s right hand should be, kneeling before a pair of girls who hugged the monster. Unable to speak, unable to even avert his eyes, he finds himself moving past the trio through a strange laboratory, beakers, microscopes and hospital beds all along his path. White and black tile clacking beneath his feet as he goes, his vision fades as he comes to a switch, the monster and girls passing by in the adjacent corridor. I fought through the crowd of enemies, often taking cover and picking them off when at the back i see a tall, slender figure surrounded by a black mist, i fired at it with my shotgun, only to find the bullets dissolve in the mist. I fired, knocking him backwards, then i use undertow to pull it towards me and blow its face off with my shotgun. The body crumpled to the ground, which dissolved into a black mist. The havoc has long been washed away when she arises, enslaved and reformed, as a beacon of hope.
When she shows herself in public, months away from the terrible night, it takes Columbia nothing to turn to her youthful beauty. The crowds sing and pray, spreading in wings to let her pass — she is their leader now, prisoner and queen of their misery.
The cloth leaves no space to her penitent flesh. It constantly presses against her scars, hiding them, reviving them — and she traces the simple embroiders as the grains of a rosary, with all her care and will to break free. Over and over again, she counts the years of her unwanted reign.
Obsessive, latent, her thirst for vengeance entwines with her longing. When the townspeople come to her for comfort, she secretly nourishes both with their tears — for she yearns to be repaid, needs to esc

These days, it feels as if all first person shooters are a bit too similar. You're either in a branch of the military, or you're shooting off supernatural forces. It's not often you see an innovative first person shooter, but like Goldeneye, Metroid Prime, or Borderlands, it's always special when a new one comes out and stands out among the rest. Bioshock Infinite is no exception.
You play as Detective Booker Dewitt, a widower from the 1910s that is down on his luck. You are sent by an unknown agency to retrieve the dimensional-rifting girl Elizabeth from captivity in the floating city of Colombia. The city is very reminiscent of Main Street USA in Disneyland, and has that same feeling of American Exceptionalism. But as Booker comes across a raffle, he is discovered to be the feared "False Shepard" of Columbia. Its leader, the crazed evangelist and self-proclaimed prophet Zachary Comstock, sends his legions of forces to stop him from rescuing Elizabeth and ruining his prophecy of her b
