Afriel sat in his chair, a notepad balancing between his knees and a pencil held like a cigarette in his right hand. “Ok so you don’t dance naked around fire pits?”
Ysabel was standing across the coffee table from him with her arms crossed and an eyebrow raised from his statement. “As I said, not unless there is a lot of strong liquor and hot dudes.” She smirked, walking around to plop herself on the couch.
“Then why would the book think-”
“Because we’re half demon. And anything demon must be a basket case.” Sarcasm dripped off her words. “Look, if this is going to work you need to forget your semi-racist stereotypes. And if at all possible I will try to refrain from remembering mine, however I must say most of them are true.”
“Oh? Like what?” Afriel challenged.
“Like the fact there is a stick up everyone’s ass here.”
Afriel rolled his eyes. “Have you met my sister?”
