Starlight twinkles within her eyes
and she wears the night in black curls cupping her face.
Her every shy smile divine,
and her every move the definition of grace.
She is power.
Her laughter freezes brainwaves.
Greater men have been left here to die,
stopped dead in their tracks stuttering out a:
"Wow... Umm... Uh, h-hi..."
She is beautiful.
In not only appearance,
but in her actions and in her mind.
In the stillness of the air that she leaves,
and the laughter from when she is kind.
She is a universe.
And like a book I wish only to read her every page,
to stand witness to all her and all her infinity.
To glow once more in the magic I feel
whenever I'm in her vicinity.

“It looks like we still have time for another game. So let's do this while we have the chance.” Doing his best not to waste anyone's time, Otoya jumped off of the stage, landing at your feet. Smiling warmly, he took your hand and helped you to a standing position. “I pick you. Make sure you have some fun in there, okay?”
“Thank you. I'll try.” Completely thrilled to be getting a turn, you rushed up the steps, and knelt down by the violin case. “Wow, there are still so many items in here. It's too bad we can't take more than one turn.” Sighing at your own wishful thinking, you gently moved around the items until you found something that interested you. Still kneeling, you lifted a black, spiked wristband from the pile. “This looks like it could hurt someone.” Unsure who the item belonged to, you stumbled to your feet. As you moved to turn around, your ankle got caught in one of the microphone cords, c
Those Who Fly, Chapt. 2: Battle, Death and Feather“Did you see that redheaded girl?” I asked my friend Hector once I’d landed on the other side of the courtyard. Hector has light brown hair and silver and teal wings. Necromancer wings are often dark gray or metallic. I was a rare type with raven-black wings. Those Who Fly, Chapt. 2: Battle, Death and Feather12 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
“Yeah, she looks new.” Hector shrugged. “Not to many new students around here.”
“Yeah. Hmm. Wonder what her powers will be.”
“Well, she doesn’t look like a necro to me,” he said. “Whatever, you’re just talking about other things to avoid telling me about last night.”
Last night. I had just reported to Alistair that there was, indeed, demon activity. I hadn’t told anyone about how I’d actually fought the demon. I didn’t need to be scolded or punished for taking on a demon by myself right now. But Hector was my best friend, and he wouldn’t tell anyone else.
“I fought the demon.”
“You fought the demon? A
Shadowbook, Chapter 2: Zodiac InterpretationsYou probably couldn’t imagine how frustrating life is when you can’t place your trust in anything. A good home is satisfying and wonderful, until you have to leave it. New friends at a new school are relieving and comforting, but then you have to go someplace else and leave them behind. You probably won’t see anyone you love again after you move. You are taken away from familiar surroundings and put in new ones. You can never be sure if a new place is good or bad, or how long you’ll stay there, or what new rules you’re going to have to get used to. Nothing is constant.Shadowbook, Chapter 2: Zodiac Interpretations12 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
I’ve learned to take advantage of my satisfactions as they come.
In this new home, I have to go to bed at eight, even though I’m almost thirteen. The only good thing about this early sleep schedule is that I get plenty of time to read and be a Shadow before I actually get tired.
My new foster mother is the type of person who favors her own children and doesn’t care about me
