The sun peeked out over the dark horizon and rose into the sky, bathing the town in the light of dawn. It flooded in through a window of the bedroom of a humanoid creature. This creature’s skin seemed to be made, or covered by, a black, leather like material; the ‘skin’ had silver zippers all over its surface, making lines all over the creature’s body; it was Zippers.
Zippers yawned and looked out the window at the slowly brightening light and got up from his bed. He picked up his belt with the pouches for supplies attached to it and put it on. Walking out of his bedroom, Zippers wondered what he would do today.
He opened the front door of his small home and looked outside at the street. Zippers didn’t have anything in particular planned today, so he hoped that maybe he could find a friend or two to hang out with. Looking up and down the road, there didn’t seem to be anyone out.
Many of them were probably sleeping or about to sleep, as many of them w
