"I'm sorry" Varric apologized. Fenris's expression remained unchanged. The information that Hawke had been sacrified took its time to settle in. A numbing feeling crept through his fingertips and it made its way around his body until he felt a sickening feeling in his stomach.
"No...no, this can't be true" he whispered. Varric leaned forward with his face buried in his hands. His eyes glistened with the mournful tears that he held back.
"I wish that it wasn't" Varric stood up. The creak of his chair made Fenris snap out of his trance like state. He blinked his deep green eyes a few times before collapsing his head into his hands
